Star Wars: Revan's War IC

Walden watched in silence as the cremation took place. I get the feeling this won't be the last of it. How many more are going to be on that pyre?

After a long night's sleep, Walden heard the council summons and headed there.

"Hey there, Muu. That was a fine speech yesterday."

After a long night's sleep, Walden heard the council summons and headed there.

"Hey there, Muu. That was a fine speech yesterday."

Thank you. It was the least I could do for their valor and dedication to the Order. The entire Foerost experience is still sinking in for me ” he responds. Looking around before the council meeting begun, “ I guess we discover the new immediate news pertaining to us in a moment ” Muu ends with a smile. The party could certainly use a moral boost given current events.

The morning following the funeral, Kataddik wakes up early. After working out he sharpens and polishes his sword before returning it to its scabbard, strapping it to his back, clipping his lightsaber to his belt, and heading for the Council chamber.

Everyone already seated in the council chamber would see the door to the room swing open. A single guard stepped in then from outside the room -

"And just so we're clear dipshit, you ever prod me with that thing again I'll flip it round and shove it where the sun don't shine."

In walks Oola. Practically bristling at being summoned by the stuck ups in the council.

Zoroku made it to the Council chamber after a night of restless sleep, much was on his mind and things would need to play out perfectly for him to pull off what his Father had sent him here to do, ' If the fourth, fifth and eighth families of the Ascendancy think they can get away with this power play then they have greatly underestimated what one Chiss can do when given the proper motivation.' He would stand silent behind the other Padawan's his usual serious expression on his face.

Gaze would turn, still contemplating the loss of life, when he hears a loud voice from the entrance. He would observe the newcomer with a raised eyebrow and a series of slow eyeblinks. Not entirely sure he'd heard her right, her profanities falling into the relative peace and serenity like a wet turd on a dinner table.

"Same here, Muu. It just feels like-" Walden replied before Oola opens the door, swearing someone up and down.

"...Guess we're all here."

The members of the council would remain seated and silent as the party of jedi are ushered in to the chamber. They would also remain silent as the latecomers arrive, though there is a visible look of annoyance from Master Vrook, and a sigh from Master Atris. As the jedi guard leave the room the door slides shut behind them, and finally the council speak.

'Welcome padawans, and welcome back to padawan Seena and K15O' Master Vash would say in her ever soft tone of voice. 'Before we begin, I remind you that you have all been summoned before the jedi high council, and that certain language is not appropriate in such a situation'. Her gaze would linger on Oola as she makes this statement.

As Vash finishes, Master Atris would rise from her seat, smoothing out her crisp white robes before speaking. Unlike the leader of the council, Atris spoke like a well disciplined school teacher, clipped tone and no nonsense attitude. 'We have received confirmation that the members of the republic admiralty have all returned to Courscant, and are ready to meat with you regarding the attack on Foerost station. However before we can begin the investigation into the attack, there is another matter to deal with.

She would turn to speak to Oola and Kai-Wan directly, though her words seemed to be aimed at everyone. 'These two took it upon themselves to board the fleeing vessel, only to wind up on a military controlled planet, presumably through a skilled and daring escape'. This last part is tinged with a drop or two of sarcasm from the master jedi. 'Ideally the council would like to use whatever information that they brought back to the advantage of the investigation, but padawan Seena has raised the suspicions of the council in the past with her association with her former master'.

As this is being said Master Ell would clear his throat as he leans foward in his seat. 'It is not that the council believes you to be suspect in the attack, we are simply trying to understand why you chose to board the ship, and what happened during your time there'. He would glance at the other padawans stood before them. 'Anything additional you can add may aid your friend' he would say, seemingly trying to patch over Atris's rather course dialogue.

"Master Lun Pyra has left the Jedi Order and now considers himself a Sith." Oolas face was unnaturally stern.

All members of the council would look visibly shocked at Oola's revelation. 'Pyra's alive?' Vrook would say incredulously. 'I assumed that he would surely die in the unknown regions'. He would pause for a moment as he rubs his chin thoughtfully. 'If it is Pyra who is responsible for the attack, perhaps this is simply a rogue jedi. This may not be a return of Revan'.

'Regardless, a fallen jedi is still a serious threat, no matter who they are' Kavar would add, joining the conversation from his seat. 'Especially if they are being aided by a member of the Republic admiralty'.

'What else can you tell us?' Master Ell would ask Oola and Kai-Wan, focusing on the task at hand. 'Any other details, who they may be working with in the Republic, their plans?'

"He implyed that us Padawans were sent to the station to die. That there was corruption within the Jedi themselves, not the Republic"

Oola was visibly shaking, either from anger or to breakdown only the Force knew.

Zoroku walks out from behind his fellow Padawans, his trance about thinking on home broken and addresses the council " Was Pyra a known military genius? TO the skill of Revan? This attack was masterfully done, not all Jedi are Military geniuses, just as I can't assume it is Revan, you can not assume it wasn't him." he asks the council his tone serious. ' I highly doubt that anyone without Revan's skill and bravado would try an attack of this nature. The attack was flawless on their end and they knew the commanders on the inside would not have spotted their ruse. ' Zoroku would think to himself then turns to Oola, " I know this man was your former master, but he has turned to the dark and is likely trying to sow discord in his enemies, a popular and effective tactic." Zoroku turns back to face the council his hand on his chin stroking his beard " That doesn't mean an investigation should not be done, we must just not let it consume us."

Master Ell would watch Oola closely as she talks, a look of suspicion crossing his face for a moment. 'It sounds like you believed him padawan. You must know that this council would never willingly send its padawans into danger'.

'We did not know about the attack. If we did, we would have sent knights to the stations aid' Kavar would add, concern in his voice.

In response to Zoroku's questions Atris would speak as she returns to her seat. 'Though he had the capacity to lead, he never took the opportunity. Of course he was no Revan, but he was no fool either. Of course the investigation will go ahead, but we must have all the facts before we proceed'.

Gaze raises an eyebrow at the young woman's comment, finding it somewhat optimistic to tell the people responsible for sending them out, and thus the most likely guilty of corruption...that she knows about possible corruption. He doesn't believe it himself, but it is an interesting approach. In one of the pulp-holos he was fond of, that was a quick way to find yourself becoming the next corpse the detective had to solve. He does however look her over with a critical eye, seeing the signs of injury on her person. Unable to shut it out, he begins categorizing her injuries, and treatment procedures.

"Master Lun is now addressed as Lord , and appears to be in command of the Interdictor we infiltrated. I could not be certain of his presence, prior to boarding, but inferred it from the frequency the attacking Sith were utilizing."

"We were taken while attempting to gather intelligence from his Acolyte's terminal and datapad. I surrendered, before Mistress Oola could get us both terminated. Presented to our old Master, he was not the same man who had returned us to the Order years ago. This man had no intention of relinquishing us to the Jedi Order. I know it was a rash undertaking, and ultimately futile.. but I just had to see if Master Lun Pyra could be redeemed.. would return with us..? He would not."

"When Acolyte Agrosa was escorting us, presumably to await interrogation, we were able to overcome her and flee. It troubles me to process the significance of our escaping so near to Coruscant..."

Kai-wan turns his head slowly, regarding the assembled Jedi Council in its entirety.

"Our intelligence-gathering was interrupted, and evidently the Acolyte is not privy to some of the details- the names were redacted. It seems the Sith possessed the access codes to bypass perimeter security at Foerost, obtained from someone on the Admiralty staff. It also seems the Revanchists have a mole within the Order itself."

He lets that sink in.

The council would fall silent as Kai-Wan speaks about the mole. They would glance at each other before Vrook speaks. 'Do you have any evidence of a mole? Any idea who it might be? If you do it is your duty to tell us'.

Oola begins to kneel before the Council and bows her head. Quietly she speaks.

"As Wan says we fought and defeated a acolyte of the Sith. I defeated her. I..... I killed........ I killed her........ She hit me....... And I gave into anger..

She looks up her eyes were beginning to well up with tears.

"I gave in to the anger. To the Dark. I used it. I used this cured power I have. And I killed someone with it. I. I don't want to give in to that again. I request the judgement of the Council. I request punishment and will accept my death like a Jedi."

Oola bows forward in both respect and in a strangely similar pose to one awaiting beheading.

"Master Vrook. I am afraid I can not be certain of a Jedi mole, and I discovered no clues as to identity. Probabilities did suggest the likelihood of an agent in place, based upon the specific intelligence they possessed regarding our mission at Foerost."

"And I would not judge Mistress Oola to harshly. Had she kept her emotions in check, she'd likely be suffering Sith interrogation at the moment, and I'd surely have beeen scrapped or reprogrammed. She did lash out, but of necessity more so than malice."

The masters would fall silent at the reveal of information from Kai-Wan and Oola. After what felt like an eternity Mast Vash slowly gets to her feet, producing a slim datapad from her robes. Striding past Oola she would stop before Zoroku. 'This is the details on the members of the admiralty you will be interviewing today. The council trusts you all to plan your investigation of the attack. Report in to us when you have something of note. Your transportation is waiting for you all outside of the the temple. You and the others are free to leave'.

As she says this however she turns to look at Oola and Kai-Wan. 'However I must talk to you two, along with Padawan Wusun'. She would wait until the others had left before she returns to her seat.

'If what you are saying is true padawan Seena, then that is troubling news indeed' Atris would say in a low tone. 'The council was wary of allowing you to return to the order in part because of your lack of control on your emotions. I knew we should not allow her to return' she would say turning to the other members of the council.

'The order does not turn away people who we can help' Kavar would state, trying to calm to situation. 'We did not send her from the temple thinking she would be facing an enemy like this, she simply wasn't ready'.

'That is why she was sent with the droid, to keep an eye on her' Vrook would growl. 'Clearly that wasn't enough. She shouldn't have been released from the temple yet'.

'Enough! Enough' Vash would say with a sigh. 'It is too late to debate what should or should not have been done. It is clear that padawan Seena regrets her decision. Having said that, we cannot allow allow a padawan in this current condition to continue being a part of this mission'.

It is at this point that she looks up at Muu. 'That is why you are here padawan. Your master had commented several times on your abilities as a mediator and a calming influence. As Master Lamar said, having the droid to watch the padawan has not been enough, perhaps you will have more luck'.

Vash would look back to Oola before continuing. 'A jedi must not give in to their emotions padawan. Net even when they are faced by the enemy. It is through serenity that a jedi finds their strength. However, if you can learn to control yourself, then you may remain as a member of this group of padawans. If not, then the Council of Reassignment will have to assign you to the service corps. Do you understand?'

'As for this talk of a traitor, without evidence there is to be no more talk of that'. Vrook would add. 'The order is already divided from the war, and unfounded rumours like that will help no one'.

As the council meeting progressed in the chambers, the dramatic spectacle continued to unfold layer after layer. It was as if the drama of the admiralty wasn't enough for the day. First Oola's entrance, second the public suspicion of her loyalty, thirdly the discover of Lun Pyra being Sith, fourth the accusation of the Order trying to murder the padawans, fifth Oola taking a Sith acolyte's life through the darkside, and sixth the accusation of a Jedi mole in the Order. Flabbergasted by all the assertions and protestation of denials, Muu sought to make sense of it all. The poor young consular attempted to keep himself composed, or at least until the council gave him an mediator assignment. As Muu listened to Master Vash, all the Iktotchi could think was " Are you certain I'm qualified to give guidance? Your asking the only other padawan who took another Sith apprentice's life to watch over her fragile emotional state? ". Unsure what to say or how elaborate, he simply bows saying " Yes, Masters ". Turning towards Oola and droid, Muu directly provides a slight wave and smile completely unsure of what to do after the entire council scene.

Gaze feels his skin prickle with anxiety as Oola brings up the option of having herself executed. Normally he wouldn't even consider such a course of action as an option, but the events of the recent past have shaken his idea of what is and isn't possible. He feels his hands clench for the split second as he thinks he might see it happen in front of him, but thankfully that doesn't happen, and he feels himself relax from a combat state. Gaze only halfway listens to the discussion about what should and shouldn't have happened, and the suggestion of an investigation lead by them. He leans over towards Muu and whispers. "They acknowledge we weren't prepared to deal with a Sith invasion, and yet we are prepared to deal with an investigation into the same invasion, and a possible informant?" He tilts an eyebrow at the Iktotchi, indicating his skepticism.

Kataddik grunts in agreement, things have certainly become “interesting”, to say the least. Bowing to the Council, he takes his leave with the rest of the group.

Muu nods to acknowledge Gaze's skepticism, whispering " We must move forward with caution. An admiral has a great deal of influence over the Republic's military resources and will have likely prepared for investigation after the attack. Vigilance will be key to reveal the acts of deception and chicanery within our own government " he warns, unsure of his own capacities in this situation. Ideally, the Sentinels will have insight towards apprehending the mole and delivering those to justice.

Gaze tilts his head at Muu, a small smirk on his face, and a touch of his natural humor bleeding back into his expression. "Did....did you just use chicanery un-ironically just now?"

Zoroku leaves as he is instructed by the council back to thinking on how he would need to enter the Republic Navy whilst remaining a Jedi, until he overhears Muu and Gaze, " We are the only ones prepared for questioning in the invasion because we lived through the events and would know what questions to ask." Zoroku response to the pair from behind the group being one of the last to exit the Chamber. " We weren't prepared for the invasion because rarely is the target of an Ambush ever wary of the trap."
