Star Wars: Revan's War IC

"We are happy to share with you, what we may, from our mission. First, we must contact the Order, and report in. In light of recent events, I am sure you understand." The tall droid stands still, head tilted in query, awaiting a response.

OolaPleaseDon'tTalkOolaPleaseDon'tTalkOolaPleaseDon'tTalk... Kai-wan repeats the familiar mantra in his processors, waiting for his companion to break in with a stream of aloof profanity. Should have stuck her with a protocol droid.

Though he knows he would not trade the young Jedi for any other assignment... She's about to speak...

"And thank you for your rapid response to our crash site." (the droid interrupts).

Zoroku would sigh as the hologram would fade, ' It seems in my absence the fourth, fifth and eighth families have had their way. Most distressing of all is they have relieved an Admiral of command. It is imperative more than ever that I convince the Jedi and republic to band together. I'll need them to save my people from their misguided attempt at safety.' Zoroku started to pace in and about his room his desire to sleep gone. ' I will need to see if I can join the republic Navy, it will let those in the ascendancy think I am infiltrating the fleet while instead I plan to give them all they need to win. The question is how to get a Jedi into the fleet. I will likely need to convince the council to join the war...' Zoroku left his room he had work to get done, and family on Csilla held prisoner by misguided Aristocras who thought the Sith could ever be trusted.

"Who are these ****s? More Republic stoogies that don't know proper respect for their superiors?"

Oola glared at the sergeant.

"In the name of the Jedi Order I demand transport off planet to my destination, you and this nerf cow are delaying vital information and everyone here will be held accountable!"

Master Vune would listen to Kataddik before responding with a light laugh. 'Well as good as I am, I cannot teach you everything you need to know today. However it does sound your master has neglected some of his responsibilities in overseeing your studies in the force'.

Vun would turn to his own padawan expectantly. 'What would you suggest Ryff? What do you think your friend here should focus on?'

"Maybe to move objects through the force?" , Ryff suggested. "Or maybe even to sense others?" ,he added.

Again Walden would face off against his master, and for a moment it would feel like he would be able to dampen Sellas's control of the force. Again however he would feel icy fingers creeping up from the depths. Fortunately he is able to pull back before they take a grip.

Sellas would straighten up with a slight look of worry on his face. 'I think you need rest Walden. Foerost has taken more out of you than you realise'. He would walk forwards and place a hand on his padawans shoulder. As he speaks he does so with a supportive smile. 'It takes time to learn this kind of power. Be patient, control your emotions and you will succeed. From what I've heard from the council you did me proud at the station, remember that'.

Master Vune would nod approvingly at his padawans suggestion. 'Both excellent suggestions Ryff'. He would turn back to face Kataddik, 'well then padawan, the choice is yours'.

Meanwhile Kai-Wan and Oola are escorted to the Republic base where the gathering halt in front of the people near the entrance. They were let by a portly man with a thick white moustache curled at the ends and accompanied by a receding hairline underneath the military cap. He is flanked by a couple of troopers who seem to be acting as guards as well as some administration staff. Cadets run by in their squads to whatever exercise it is that they have been tasked with.

The man would look to the sergeant who would salute as they approach. 'They were found on the rise sir, there's a crashed escape pod up there does not seem to be one of ours'.

'Have a team investigate it' the ruddy faced man would command. The sergeant would snap off another salute before turning away to follow her orders.

'Now then' he would say as he turns to face the other two. 'I will need to hear how you came to be on this planet before I can give either of you access to our communication array. This planet is restricted to anyone who isn't a member of the republic military, that includes jedi'.

The officer would frown deeply at Oola's words, and would make no effort to hide his displeasure. 'I also need you to bite your tongue young lady, or you will be locked away until I decide what to do with the pair of you'.

He would clear his throat before continuing. 'Now, I have a shuttle that will be leaving the planet today, and it is in my interests to see both of you on it. However before I can do anything, I need you to my job, and do it without putting up with foul language'.

"Thank you, Master. I've been flying ships for a while now, so I'll be taking a rest."

Walden let his master be and headed to a place where he could get some sleep. It made sense that he'd be unable to focus; after all, he had been flying. And his control of the Force had been rather tenuous. It took him a while to develop his senses and his focus on lightsaber combat and flying meant he had little time in practicing the ways of the Force. Still, a tinge of disappointment was present.

"If I may, sir.. My mistress and I were part of the Jedi Order's advisory liaison detail. At Foerost Station. We were charged with leading an enquiry, following the attack. I am sure the Order will share its findings, and keep the Republic apprised of the details, as they emerge. I am afraid I may not share any further particulars of our mission with you at present."

"Delaying or detaining us at this time serves no one but our common enemy. If you will not permit us the courtesy of contacting our Order, as might be expected of allies.. Perhaps you might at least contact them yourself, on our behalf."

"Our presence here is quite by accident. We made no attempts to conceal our arrival here, nor to evade our immediate.. rescue..? Quite the contrary. To ensure continued positive relations, I recommend making contact in a timely fashion. We are not here to threaten, nor to be threatened. In fact, it was not our intent to be here at all."

"We will be only too happy to depart your lovely planet on the next available shuttle. And report the excellent assistance your fine cadets provided us, in our time of need."

That would be much appreciated master. If you feel that I am ready.

Is the team just about ready? ” he inquiries, curious if the party has made their finally preparations.

Gaze nods to them both, but shakes his head at Muu's question. "I do not know of any such preparations, or their current status. I've been training and studying in my downtime. Are we being sent out again?"

The officer would listen closely to what the droid says as one of his retinue taps away on a data pad, presumably taking notes. A low hum could be heard from the man before he finally speaks. 'I will have someone contact your council to corroborate your story. Please understand, I have been given no real reason to doubt you, despite your odd arrival. However I have a responsibility to my cadets and their safety'.

The man would turn to nod to one of the personal behind him, who would in turn go to disappear back into the entrance of the base. Presumably they would be contacting the council.

For a few minutes the group would stand in relative silence, the guards watching the pair carefully while the officer talks to his staff in a low voice. After a while the personnel member who had been sent returned. They would step forward to mutter a sentence or two into the officers ear before disappearing.

'Well, your jedi council has confirmed what you have told us droid. In fact they seem very excited to have you back'. Judging by his tone, the man suspected that the reunion would not be a completely happy one.

'Anyway, we will provide a shuttle for you to be taken to Corouscant. You should be there for the morning'. With that, the man would turn and go back into the base, as if he had never met the pair. One of the guards would gesture for the couple to follow him across the grass to a raised platform on the outskirts of the base. Sat on top of it was a Republic shuttle. They were guided up the boarding ramp before it slowly shut behind them. It was clear that the republic wanted them off the planet as soon as possible.

With the door shut there would be a shudder as the shuttle takes off, and before too long they were on their way back to Corouscant. Back to their friends and the jedi order. They had a little time to rest and recuperate, afterall they had been through the same as the rest of the party, if not more with their time aboard the interdictor.

Vune would rub his chin as he listens to his Kataddik. 'Well, my padawan here has identified two of the most useful powers in a jedi's arsenal. Being able to feel the force around you can help resolve most issues without violence, and the power to move objects can be used to end an altercation quickly'. They master would laugh a croaky laugh before continuing. 'Let us begin with the non-violent option, I suspect that will do you some good young one'.

Master Vune would take a deep breath as he closes his eyes, settling back into a meditation stance. 'Now, empty your mind, Ryff you to, practice will do you good. Empty your mind, shed yourself of your worries, you hopes and ambitions, the events of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Simply be. Now, reach out, not just with your mind but with your being. When you reach out, feel the life around you. Feel it as it shifts through the other jedi, the plants, the birds, the city. Even the rocks underneath your feet. That, is the force, and through it all things are possible. Tug at a single string of the force, and a whole tapestry can be reshaped. Being able to sense these threads, these shifts is crucial to being a jedi'.

The three would be suspended like this for what felt like an age until master Vune finally opened his eyes. 'I think that will do for now. It takes time to learn to be one with the force, but if you both practice regularly, you will learn, and improve'.

As the day drew to an end, the jedi begin to retreat into the temple, their days done. As they do however, holo-projectors across the temple would spring to life. These would project a face of Master Zash, a serious look on her face. She would speak in a sombre voice as she makes her announcement. 'It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the funeral of jedi Padawan's Xae Svor, Gunda Poot and Tiberius Rook. For those who wish to attend the service it will be taking place in the cremation chamber shortly. With that the projection would end. It seemed that the troubling day would have an appropriately sorrowful end.

Sitting down, Kataddik closes his eyes and stretchews out with his feelings...

As he does so, he feels the Force flow through him, sensing Ryff and Master Vune, across from him, as well as a couple of padawans near by, in a secluded alcove making out.

Muu nods, first making sure the three were alone. “ Yes, the Senate has requested us to work in conjunction with the Republic security forces for an investigation. We depart once all the Admirals have returned to Coruscant, as someone with such security clearance loyalty’s is in question. Caught up in our downtime, I didn’t know whether the mission was ready to field ” he states with a brief sigh. “ I suppose being unaware of the situation is a good sign that recess is still in call ” Muu jokes.

For those who wish to attend the service it will be taking place in the cremation chamber shortly. With that the projection would end. It seemed that the troubling day would have an appropriately sorrowful end.

As the holo-projector turned off Ryff would quietly make his way to the cremation chamber to attend the memorial service only thinking one thing, "So it has begun."

Muu looks up towards Kel and Gaze after the funeral announcement. " Will you two be attending the cremation chamber service? I will be paying my respects. " the padawan questions. Upon receiving answers from both them, the Iktotchi makes his way with the rest of the Jedi to attend the public service. Preparing for the ceremony, Muu begins to open myself up for the Force and watching Master Zash .

"Of course" Gaze says. "Just making use of what free time I had."

Opening his eyes, Kataddik thanks, Master Vune before standing and following Ryff to the Cremation chamber service.

As Walden found a place to finally rest, the announcement from Master Vash appeared.

Walden let out a sigh. They deserve respect. I'll have to rest later.

Walden remembered Svae making his last stand on Foerost, Gunda going down in flames, and the body of Tiberius laid on the hangar floor. They gave their lives and it would have been a disservice to not attend.

I just wish this didn't have to happen.

As the funeral came about a small number of roved and hooded jedi make their way silently through the ground levels of the temple towards the cremation chambers. It is an area that few visit and even fewer hope to visit. Nothing good comes from this area of the temple. Not many jedi are in attendance for this ceremony, these padawans were young, and had only made a few connections in their brief time in the galaxy. The jedi form a procession of two columns and file into the dark room.

There are several raised rows where the jedi may stand, and in front of these two large blocks with white sheets carefully draped over it. The sheets are emblazoned with a golden symbol of the jedi, and within the blocks were the bodies of their fallen comrades. Stood behind the coffins was Master Vash, her head hung low in reverence. As the padawans join the other jedi for the funeral Ryff would recognise the room and the scene. This was what he had seen from his vision.

'Thank you for coming' Vash would say in a sombre voice. 'We have gathered this evening to pay last respects to the fallen padawans Svae Xor, Tiberius Rook, Matt Skywalker and Gunda Poot. Unfortunately Padawans Poot and Xor's could not be recovered, so they will be honoured through our memories'. She would step forwards to stand before the coffins, raising her head to look at the audience.

'The padawans masters have been unable to attend the ceremony, so I will be speaking on their behalf. These padawans have passed on, and have become one with the force. Though they were young, each was exemplary in their own way. Svae Xor may have been reserved, but he showed real compassion and a connection to the force through the animals around him that few have ever achieved. Matt Skywalker was a talented seer, and one day may have become one of the jedi's greatest. Gunda Poot was a story of redemption that we should all aspire to, and was a pilot of enviable skill. Tiberius Rook was a talented duellist, and with his dedication saved many lives before his end. Each was a shining example of what the order can offer, and what what we may all become one day. Even the most veteran of jedi may still learn something from them. They will never be forgotten, and as they live on through the force, so they will live on through all of us. Yet we must not give in to sorrow, do not let this grief spread. Celebrate their life, do no mourn their death'.

As she finishes speaking she glances around the audience. 'I now invite those that wish to say some final words about the deceased to do so'. With that she steps back to make way for anyone who wishes to speak.

Muu approaches to the side of Vash, " I have a few final words. I, like many Jedi here, have had the pleasure of serving alongside Svae Xor, Tiberius Rook, Matt Skywalker and Gunda Poot. All of which too, conducted their own personal Padawan Trials on Ilum at the same time as I. Having train together as younglings to embarking the journey to Foerost, their dedication to the Order was exemplary, and valor admirable. We stand together today in memory of what can be achieved through the Force by their examples. Each fallen Jedi readily gave their lives for the prosperity Republic and in service the Order. May there transitions through the Force be peaceful. Thank you " he shares, before stepping down and allowing someone else a turn.

Settling into one of the chairs Oola curled up and adjusted her robes to try get as much of herself covered as possible. The shuttle wasnt cold, but she felt cold. Just before drifting off to a sleep she sorely needed she said in a soft voice to her droid companion -

"Wan? Back on the ship there. I wasn't sure what happened but it suddenly occurred to me. And if you ever hit me again, I'll fry your circuits and melt you down for scrap. Are we clear?

She didn't wait for a response and nuzzled her head into the relative comfort of the chair back to sleep.

"An honest slip, Mistress. Wielding this thing is not as intuitive as one might think. And despite the maker's best intentions, I am not certain I have been properly programmed for intuition."

Kai-wan lets her rest.

I will need to learn exactly who had access to those perimeter security codes at Foerost.. Dig around, see who else may have had means, motive.. opportunity.

The security droid goes over the facts he does possess, searching further for any seemingly trivial details that may have eluded his initial assessment of the situation. Eventually, his systems drift into what might almost be called a dream state.

Master Vash would not nod slightly as Muu finishes speaking. 'Wise words padawan' she would say as she steps forwards again to stand before the assembly. The grand master of the jedi council bows her head, and the hooded jedi stood before her all do the same in unison. As they do the stone coffins slowly sink into the ground without a noise. A hatch with the jedi mark on it covers the coffin as there is the faint sound of flames igniting can be heard. As the hatches seal shut, two pillars of bright light shoot into the air, illuminating the room and bathing the occupants in a warm glow.

With that, the funeral was over. The jedi begin to leave the ceremony in ones or twos, voices being heard as they leave the room. Most of the jedi simply would return to their accommodation to sleep. It was rapidly growing late, and people would begin to feel tired.

As the jedi on Corouscant slumbered the shuttle carrying Oola and Kai-Wan rushed them through hyperspace while they slept. As they arrived above Coruscant the sun was rising on a new day. The pair were woken up by the thud as the shuttle touches down on a landing pad. As the ramp lowers they are assaulted by the bright sunlight of the morning, and the pair are met by a group of four jedi temple guards. They must have landed on one of the temples landing pads.

'The council requests your presence, immediately' one of the guards would state in a monotone voice. 'We are here to escort you'.

As this is occurring, the team of jedi who are to be investigating the admiralty are also summoned to the council chambers shortly after they wake up. as they begin to gather outside the chambers shortly before the two new arrivals appear.

Raithe watched as the corpses of her Jedi comrads slowly turned to ash.

Just like these Padawans, I will make sure that the Sith will burn. She thought to herself. And they will never again rise from the ashes of their corruption.

After a long night, Muu woke up early the next day preparing for the new investigations on the admiralty. Upon being summoned once more to the council chambers, the Iktotchi knew curious as to the reasoning. " If the Council seeks an audience, there must be a new discovery since yesterday morning. Perhaps, it is in regards to the admiralty? I do hope the traitor has confessed " he thought, along his journey to the chambers. Arriving, Muu greets all of his other fellow Jedi peers to the new day.
