Star Wars: Revan's War IC

"Thank you, will be landing shortly," Walden replies. As he flies around the buildings, Walden spots a ship leaving in a pad that is very close to the Jedi Temple. At least the walk would not be long. After clearing the landing with the tower personnel, he lands the shuttle.

"Alright, everyone, we're here."

Upon Walden's announcement, the Iktotchi starts to prepare the fallen padawan's coffins to load off the shuttle. Activating the repulsor lifts to the Jedi sarcophaguses, he begins to align up the caskets with the ramp. " I wonder if Master Zear Not bothered to listen to the Jedi recall to the temple " he ponders. Realizing the temple is perhaps clueless to the Foerost details and on high alert, he attempts to draw up a sense of confidence to set the tone for his peers.

The skies of Corouscant, though still busy are oddly quiet. Traffic is significantly less that what Walden would remember from his brief time on the planet. The journey to the temple was relatively quiet and uneventful, and the sun was high in the sky. After making his approach, Walden would see a circular landing pad open for the shuttle. He could also see the small figures of twelve or so individuals waiting for them.

As the shuttle sets down and the loading ramp lowers, the jedi would be able to see that the figures waiting for them were the temple guard that were promised, all stood to attention. One would step forward as the jedi disembark, halting their progress. 'We will take the fallen for the preparation for their funeral. Please follow me'.

With that the jedi would turn on his heel and lead the jedi into the temple. Four of the guards would remain to take command of the bodies of Tiberius and Matt. The walk to council chamber was as quiet as the journey to the planets surface. Only a few jedi knights and padawans could be seen here and there. They watched the battered and bloodied jedi walk by, a few muttering and whispering to each other. The news of Foerost must have spread fast for the jedi to already know who the members of this party are.

Eventually the large procession would reach the ornate doors of the council chambers. Here the guards would pause and turn to line the sides of the corridor for the padawans. 'The council is waiting' one of them would say as the door opens.

As well as the members of the high council, masters Shia and Sellas were both present. They stood behind the chairs of the council. All the faces ranged from stern to concerned. 'So few' Master Vash would say quietly. 'So few of you have returned. Padawans Rook, Skywalker, Xor, Seena and the droid. They were all killed by the attackers?'

"Aguhwwgggghhh huuguughghg uughguughhhghghghhhgh," Kataddik said, bowing reverently. "Aarrragghuuhw raaaaaahhgh aaaaahnr aaaaahnr aarrragghuuhw uughguughhhghghghhhgh huurh huuguughghg huurh hnnnhrrhhh."

"Not quite, Master. Oola and the droid decided to infiltrate the enemy ship."

Oola drops to her hands and knees and slowly creeps towhere she thought the door was.

"Ow ow ow ow ow"

The slight burns to her exposed skin still hurt but there were more pressing matters. Even through the steam or smoke or whatever the **** this was, it was easy enough to spot K1's thicker leggs compared to the human guys. She crept over and grabbed a metalic ankle.

"Misstr...... " "Shhhhh! Shut the **** up! Head that way."

She tapped a part of his foot and still ungracefully on all fours she tried to make her way down the corridor.

It was a bad time to not know if droids have touch sensors in their feet.

Edited by SithArissa

Kai-wan's extraordinary photoreceptor sensors pick up the familiar silhouette of the Twi-lek Jedi through the obscuring steam, crawling out of the stateroom. She pauses to caress, then tap, at his foot. Organics do the strangest things.. at the strangest times.. Yes, mistress. Flight it is.

The security droid possesses surprising speed and agility, and is truly a sight to behold, when demonstrating its prowess in such situations. The same cannot be said of the gangly droid attempting to furtively follow Oola away from the chaos of the Acolyte's quarters. In fact, under less dire circumstances, it might be suggested that he looks somewhat ludicrous.

Nevertheless, he manages to sneak away undetected, placing some distance between himself and the rapidly deteriorating scene behind him.

'Find them! Find them now!' the acolyte would shriek through the thick cloud while the jedi make their escape. There would be a loud commotion behind the pair as the guards charge into the room and begin to hunt for them.

As they reach the corridors corner near the edge of the cloud, they would hear the guards call out 'they're not here ma'am!'

'Well go get them you idiots! Go that way! I will search for them down here'. Soon the pair can hear footsteps running in their direction, and it doesn't sound like it's the squad. Their options are limited, they're still trapped on the ship, and still haven't achieved their goals. Should they try to hide and continue with their quest, or cut their losses and try to escape the ship?

On Corouscant there would be a low rumble of murmurs from the council in response to Kataddik's response. 'Infiltrate the ship? For what reason?' master Ell would say in shock as he leans forwards. 'They should have returned to Coruscant with the rest of you'.

'This council was uncertain about reinstating padawan Seena for this very reason' master Atriss would snap as she turns to the other. 'It was this exact reason that the droid was sent with her to Foernost, to keep her under control!'

'I said Pyra was not ready for a padawan, this only confirms my suspicions' Master Vrook would growl from his chair.

'Let us not be hasty' Master Kavar would interject, silencing the other masters present. 'Let us hear what the padawans have to say. Tell us what you can about the attack, and about this, infiltration'.

'How do we know that they have simply not deserted the order?' Atriss would begin once again before master Vash turns to look at her.

'Enough Atris. We know too little to jump to that conclusion'.

While the masters discussed these matters in their chamber with the padawans, both Ryff and Raithe were sought out by two temple guards. 'Padawans, as soon as you are ready you are to report to the council chamber. You have been set a task by the council and they wish to brief you before you depart. When they pair were ready they would be swiftly escorted through the vast temple to the room where the others had entered not too long ago. The doors hissed open quietly to allow the pair to cross the threshold just as the new of Oola and Kai-Wan had been delivered.

'Ah, padawans. Please, join us' Master Kavar would say with a soft smile. He would wave to the pair to join the other padawans lined up before the council. (( @BeingofMortis and @AdvocatXD this is the part I missed))

Kataddik gives the Council a rundown of the events from their arrival in system, up through the battle itself, at least from his perspective, including what he felt was a severe lack of security in how the shipyard handled approaching ships. In particular, how they didn't ask for their security codes and proper identities, and instead had the party land before searching and questioning them, among other lapses in security.

  • their failure to make direct communication with the enemy ships and confirm their clearances, and intercept them prior to the attack.
  • failure to have a squadron of fighters constantly flying perimeter duty, along with additional squadrons on standby, to intercept incoming ships in order to detain them until they're able to confirm proper security clearances and pass codes, well before they get anywhere close to the shipyards proper , particularly the "secure" sections where military ships are being built, and either escort properly cleared ships in, turn away ships lacking proper clearance, or, if necessary, detain said vessels in a separate impound area in a location far away from the shipyards.
  • Failure to have a proper security perimeter of sufficient radius surrounding the shipyards to prevent any ship from getting within several thousand kilometers, if not tens of thousands of kilometers , of the shipyards.
  • Failure to have a separate impound and detention area far away from the shipyards proper, where questionable ships can be boarded and inspected before being allowed to continue on to the shipyards.
  • Failure to have proper defenses in place on the external structure of the shipyards to prevent boarding actions.
  • Failure to have even a single capital ship, if not a small fleet, on duty to protect the shipyard.

Having deduced that only the Acolyte is giving pursuit in their direction, the droid slows, allowing Oola to forge ahead.. and the incensed Sith to catch up.

"There is a traitor in your midst, Acolyte Agrosa. Or do you think it a coincidence that your recent action was met with a dozen blueblades?"

Kai-wan stands in the middle of the passageway, reluctantly concluding that there are too many unknown variables to determine her likely response.. She seems quite mad..

"I was investigating your room, to rule you out, first."

Mistress Oola will have an easier time hiding, or escaping, without me. I will sow dissent amongst our enemies, and seek out our Master Lun.

(Can K-1 determine the Acolyte'e species? Or would it be a Perception check?)

Walden waited in silence as Kattadik put his complaints out in the open to the council.

Smooth. I'm not even sure this is the right place to say anything about Foerost. And to be fair, I did kinda ask for air patrols. Kinda.

Still, I wondered what happened to Axe Squadron and Captain Bartlett. Got moved around so quickly, I never talked to him. I hope he's okay.

" They are all fair points Kattadik however the Jedi Council has little to do with Republic Naval Strategy and Security, Their patrols were lacking and relative defenses lax however this is not a matter the council can help with." Zoroku would speak to the many points the Wookiee made, " However, I can speak to some new revelations that came from that attack..." Zoroku would approach the center of the council Chamber, " From my attempt at an interrogation I could determine that these men weren't from the Sith Empire. As they would have intimate knowledge of the trade languages of the Unknown Regions, I tried the most common one Sy Bisti, and they were unable to understand me." He would look at each master present reading their faces, their reactions to the information he revealed "These men are likely those who were following the Exiles into the Unknown Regions, They are likely Revan's men." Zoroku would let that sink in before he proceeded "When I knew of the Revanchist's trajectory I warned this very council they were going into Sith Empire space, that this was a Security threat for the Republic and the Jedi, and I was ignored for lack of experience in this Order, I implore you now, we must aid the Republic in this is war with the Sith and the Sith have likely either Killed Revan, or worse turned them to their side. It will take the combined efforts of our Order and the Republic to defeat a threat such as this." He would look to his fellow Padawans before he continued, " We have seen the Death of good Padawans this day, this happened because all parties were unprepared, we need to stand now with the Republic so we can defend the Galaxy from the Tyranny of Sith Rule. " He would end his eyes locking with each Master on the council.

Raithe listened attentively as the Chiss Padawan, Zoroku, spoke.

Does this have to do with the task that was mentioned to me earlier? Raithe contemplated after Zoroku was finished, feeling sensations of both alarm and excitement. She now had the chance to finally prove herself to the Order. And infinitely more important, a chance to vanquish their old enemies, once and for all. Raithe cleared away her thoughts and awaited to receive her new mission from the Council.

Listening to all that was going on around him, Ryff started thinking, "Was this the imbalance Master Vune was talking about? If so I hope I'm prepared." After that unsettling thought of possibly not being prepared, Ryff resumed listening to the meeting.

'Padawan Kuruozo is correct padawan Kataddik. The jedi order are keepers of the peace, and avoid influencing the Republic military and navy for this very reason'. Master Ell leans back in his chair, running a hand over his thick moustache before continuing. 'Unfortunately since the Mandalorian war, and Revan leaving with almost a third of the fleet, the remaining vessels are stretched thin at the best of times'.

The council would listen closely to what Zoroku had to say, Master Vash in particular leaning fowards as she considers his words. A renowned hunter of those who would follow the ways of the sith, she was considered an expert on the subject by most. 'That is quite a leap to make padawan. Foernost is a core world, and these soldiers could have made any number of jumps through hyperspace to mask where they came from'.

'The reports we have received from the station confirm that the attacking ship was a Republic vessel, but that does not mean that Revan has returned. We could be dealing with a rebel captain, ship jackers or any number of other threats' Master Kavar would add. 'Do you have any physical proof that Revan is behind the attack, or that he even returned from the unknown regions?'

'And do not think that the council will not stand by the Republic' Vrook would growl from his seat, finally adding his voice to the discussion. 'If this is the sith then the Jedi will be ready. If not, we will lend aid where we can, as a jedi must'.

'Agreed' master Ell would murmur, nodding in approval. 'In the mean time it is important that this attack is properly investigated'. At this he would gesture to the new padawans who had joined the rest of the party. 'That is why you are here padawans Monotu, Arien'.

Vash pushes herself to her feet and begins to stride up and down the line of jedi as she speaks, as if she were a commander addressing her troops. 'The reports from the station suggest that the reason the attack came so quickly and was so effective is because the ship was broadcasting the necessary access codes to enter the restricted zone around the station. This allowed them to close on the station and launch their attack before the personnel of Foernost realised that something was wrong. Because of the stations proximity to Corouscant and it's importance to the navy, the access codes are only given to the Republic Admiralty and are changed regularly'.

She would pause in her pacing to let out a faint sigh. 'This means that we may well be facing a traitor within the highest ranks of the Republic navy. Two of the admirals are already on Coruscant, and the others are rushing back as we speak to discuss the attack. The senate held an emergency meeting after news of the attack reached us, and the jedi have been tasked with investigating the admiralty for a possible traitor. In conjunction with the republic security force of course.

'Ordinarily this would be a job for a jedi master, or at least a knight, but you all have an insight into the case that we lack due to you being present for the attack. Padawans Monotu and Arien will be joining you as they have recently shown themselves to have quite a talent in this field. Another padawan will be attached to your party to help divide the workload so that this investigation can go as fast as possible'. Master Kavar would smile at the pair as he adds this to Vash's briefing.

'You can begin your investigation tomorrow when the remaining admirals arrive. Until then you have rooms at the temple where you can rest and prepare for the coming day. I believe some of your friends and masters are here in the temple if you wish to seek them out. It may do you some good' Vash would add to this.

'In the mean time, there is to be no mention of this nonsense about Revan returning to anyone!' Atris would state in a severe tone. Here steely eyes would burn wholes into Zoroku for a moment before she breaks the gaze. 'The last thing we need to to cause a mass panic about a jedi exile is attacking the republic'.

Aboard the interdictor, the siths face would curl with rage as she tears the flowing robes from her shoulders. This would reveal a woman of a similar age and build to Oola, but of a very different species obviously due tot he crown of spikes that ring around her head. The other thing that is revealed is the two lightsabers that hang on her belt, or did till she reached for them. 'You would accuse me of being a traitor!' she would screech. 'A droid? Accuse me? I'll slice you to pieces!'

Attentively listening, to the padawn's surprise the Council made no mention of disappointment in all the padawan's first solitary assignment. But, in fact, assigned the party to a new investigative assignment? " Perhaps in their eyes we amended the situation into a success with our guardianship? Intelligence gathering? Or was it just a simple case of being in the right place in the right time? Certainly, didn't feel like it " he contemplates. Upon Master Kavar mentioning new party additions, Muu would glance towards the pair with a brief smile and slightly nod in acknowledgement. " Ah, experienced Jedi investigators. Finally, an assignment we are actually prepared for! " he thought.

As the padawans were dismissed, the young Iktotchi quickly rushes out to see if his Master was outside awaiting his arrival. Alas, to his disappointment, she was nowhere insight. Looking down he thought, " Master Zear Not did say she had an assignment of her own before leaving to Foerost. She's certainly not one to worry or be swayed by galactic news of danger. If she had an assignment... she would see it through regardless of any temple recall " he considers. In the meantime, Muu began to seek out the other padawan the Council referred too. Perhaps, this new addition was a specialist of some sort? Looking around the beautiful temple, he realized anything beat the ruminating memories of Foerost, the fallen Jedi, or his beloved Master.

"Hm, I believe there were two enemy shuttles that were left on Foerost. I hope that could be of some help," Walden remarked. "Either way, I'll be making my leave."

As the padawans started to leave, he approached the two new padawans on the team. "Hello there, I'm Walden Albright. Your names?"

Kataddik bows to the council before turning and striding over to the new members of the team, and greeting them as only a Wookiee can.

“uugggh uughguughhhghghghhhgh uughguughhhghghghhhgh aaaaahnr,” he bellowed as he scooped both of them up simultaneously in a big bear hug.

”Welcome to the team

Kel was standing on a pole overlooking the dingy street in the Corusanti underworld. Cloak on, hood over his face, and pressed into the shadows no one would notice him, a group of workers and grunts gathered here to get their daily dose of spice, illegal Glitterstim, before heading back to work, Kel didn’t care about them, he cared about where they got their supply. Three minutes Twenty Seven seconds until the average time when they showed up, their supply was on a monthly cycle, with the amount they ingested decreasing each day until it rocketed back up to higher levels, thus Kel had had to wait until more recently to ask them who their supplier was, well interrogate was probably more accurate. The workers started showing up, the one who always handed out the spice arrived, Kel started his watch, the distributor always stayed for exactly thirty standard minutes before returning to his speeder. The man walked out keeping to the shadows of the buildings, Kel followed him from above, the man got in a speeder and Kel dropped down on the hood, “Its illegal to buy Glitterstim, even more illegal to import it to sell, who’s your distributor?” The man had jumped back in fear when Kel jumped down, but now tried to assume a more confident position, “I ain’t telling you cops nothing.” Kel smiled beneath his hood, “I’m no cop,” he grabbed the man by the chest and walked over to the side of the road and looked over, he was far from the bottom, he slammed the man’s chest against the guard rails, “Did you know that if I dropped you from here, you would have just enough time to pray to your deity to take mercy upon you before you hit the ground?” Kel felt the man getting nervous and picked him up hanging him over the edge, “Tell me or I’ll drop you.” The man was terrified, “You wouldn’t.” Kel tilted his head and took one finger off the man letting dip about an inch, ”Oopsie.” The man’s fear was palpable, “Okay, okay, his name is Jorbin, he’s a twilek on level 1113.” Kel three the man back onto the speeder, the name checked out, three other distributors had told him that this was the source, this was the first time he had gotten a location though. “Who the almighty are you?” Kel turned back towards the man, “Your worst nightmare.” And jumped over the rail, landing in the speeder he had parked earlier.

He arrived back at the temple, he had been summoned to meet a group of other padawans, typical he didn’t need help, he showed up a few minutes late just in time to hear a human introduce himself and a Wookie practically strangle two other padwans there must have been at least six or seven of them including Kel. “My name is Kel El, Son of Gor El. Pleasure to meet you Walden Albright.”

"Raithe Arlen," she replies, sounding strangled underneath the Wookiee's embrace.

From behind K1 a veritable screech erupted.

"Oh no you dont, *****! You think you're all that? You ain't ****! You come here with your 2 credit get up and think you can **** talk my droid?! Why don't you come say that to my face *****, hoe, ****? I will knock you the **** out, skank! I will make you wish you were nevrer born! I'll lay you out! You ain't all that, *****!

Sparks were shooting from Oola, creating a cage of lightning around her and K1, solidifying as she worked herself up.

He would listen intently to the Council's thoughts on the subject, " Very good they will ride to meet their ancient enemy, I thought I would have to do more convincing with their stance on the last conflict." He would continue to listen until he was admonished by Master Atris, " I never had the intention of spreading this information past the Jedi Council. Your fears are unwarranted, the last thing I would want is to cause mass panic." He left without a second word once they were dismissed.

After the meeting Zoroku would make his way to his Master's quarters, " Hello Master, we have much to discuss." He would say as he found her in the middle of her meditations.

"It could've been a lot worse; I'm just glad some of you made it back," Ryff said gratefully towards his allies in the order. "I look forward to working with you all on this new mission," Ryff smiled.

As the party dispersed, Ryff sought out Master Vune for some one-on-one training.

Sometime later in the temple courtyard...

"Remember, the force is in all things; you, the rocks, the trees even your lightsaber. Prima Vitae is the ability to sense the force in living organisms. Now close your eyes and reach out to that bird on the rock over there," Vune said, but upon seeing Ryff starting to move his hand he sighs trying not to laugh and says, "...With the force, but only to feel the force essence within it." Ryff quickly puts his hand down a little embarrassed, then focused on trying to feel force within the bird.

A few moments later...

"I feel a sense of pride and a warm glow coming from that direction," Ryff said, pointing to the bird. At that moment the bird flew back to its nest to await the hatching of it's eggs.

Master Vune nods his head and says, "Well done Ryff, well done. Now meditate on the new assignment and tell me what you see."

'You dare speak to me like that! I will destroy you and bring your head to Master Pyra!' the Zabrak acolyte would howl as she lunges at Oola, only to be knocked back by the electric field she generates. With an animated roar, the sith lunges forwards again, battering away at the field with a ferocity more akin to a wild animal than an animal. The sheer power of the blows literally shakes the protective field as cracks begin to show in the protection. The effort of the attack puts a lot of pressure on Oola as she tries to protect the pair from the sith.

Back on Courscant Zoroku's master would move to her feet, turning to face her padawan with a serious expression. She had been present for the meeting, and had only arrived shorty before he had. 'Padawan, I believe you are right' she would say quitly as she goes to sit on one of the round seats of the room. She would gesture for him to sit on the one opposite her as she crosses her legs. 'What would you like to start with Zoroku?'

As Kataddik makes his way through the temple, he can feel a number of eyes on him as he moves through the temple. It's unsurprising considering what he and his party had been through. There was probably a lot of jedi with a lot of questions for him. He reaches halls of healing after a few minutes, and finds it mostly empty. Here and there a few healers are tending to their patients. There is a pair of temple guards who seem to have suffered a few scrapes and bruises, and a knight who was having a large burn on his arm tended to.

A Miralukan dressed in deep grown robes would approach him after a moment with a warm smile on her face. 'Ah padawan, do you need help with something?'
