Star Wars: Revan's War IC

Zoroku took note of how many groups had approached so close to their precession, ' Word has spread faster than I thought it would. By the number of men that approach in each individual group Tiberius should likely not travel anywhere without at least two of us by his side.' Zoroku stared a few of the guards who clearly came to harass them, many would ignore his gaze and continue giving Tiberius the evil eye but some would grow uncomfortable when they noticed piercing Red eyes glaring at them with discontent.

After being greeted by the foreman and let into the dining hall Zoroku made his way to a seat directly across Admiral Haghaw. " A Grand time indeed." Zoroku would say in response to the foreman as he looked to the Admiral.

As the jedi begin to seat themselves the foreman will join them, reclining in the comfortable chair. 'I must say, it has been an interesting day gentlemen. We could not imagine that we would be host to jedi, not in this number at any rate'. At this a couple of the others at the table would nod in agreement. 'Perhaps this is a good chance for everyone to introduce themselves? I fear the greeting in the hanger were lacking'. He would gesture with one hand to the jedi beside him. 'Perhaps you would like to start good sir?'

The Iktotchi stood up, " I am Padawan Muu Wusun, Arbiter in the Jedi Order. Its a pleasure to collaborate with you all serving the Republic ". The Padawan slightly bows his head and takes a seat.

Gaze stands and gives a slight wave around the table. "Padawan Gaze Eeboh, physician and healer." He sits back down without anything further.

“I am Tiberius.” Tiberius says

"Walden Albright. It's a pleasure to meet you."

The people at the at the dining table would nod respectfully as each jedi introduces themselves. Perhaps it was their seniority, but they seemed to either appreciate the jedi's presence, or at least control their stares. As the jedi finish, the foreman half rise out of his chair to speak. 'Well, on behalf of the whole station, it is wonderful to have our mighty allies from the jedi order with us today. Allow me to introduce the others'.

Alongside the admiral and the foreman, there was quite a variety of people. There was two shop floor managers, and air commodore in charge of the fighter squads, a representative from the Corouscant senator and an individual overseeing the the construction of one of the vessels outside of the station, the Vanguard.

They were all high brow members of the station, and with the exception of the admiral, all middle age. The majority of the individuals were men, and all but two were human.

After all of the somewhat rushed introductions were carried out, the foreman would go to sit back into his chair comfortably. 'Now, jedi, I'm sure it has been a tiring day for you all, so I assure you, we won't keep you trapped here for long'. This would elicit a small amount of polite laughter from around the table.

A portly and ruddy skinned Mon Calamari would lean forward in his seat to examine those around him. He was the overseer of the Vanguard, and brought his species shipbuilding expertise to the projects. 'So, how do you find our fine station? It's one of the mechanical masterpieces of the core if you ask me!'

As he talks, a troop of waiters would begin to bring through plates of starters. The food certainly looked fancy, the kind of thing a senator may be used to eating during an important meeting. The jedi were certainly being treated to a fine meal so far.

" Not so fast Master Foreman in your haste to get started you skipped over me." Zoroku would say as he stood to introduce himself, " I am Kazz'Oro'Kuruozo, but you may call me Zoroku for short..." He looks at each and every person at the table, " Many of you may think that I am a Pantoran, for they are common in the republic... You would be wrong. I am Chiss, and my home is in what you all would call the Unknown regions." Zoroku pauses briefly and looks to the Admiral, " It is because I am from the Unknown regions and know what enemies lie beyond that I take a vested interest in helping improve the fleet to the best of my ability." He sits back down.

Muu looks at the Mon Calamari to respond " I agree, your station is quite the impressive masterpiece. Thank you. It's a privilege to serve along your side as allies during the Republic's grandest monumental construction growth and recovery ". As the food comes out Muu cheers " May all be receptive to advancement of our beloved Republic! "

"I have to say, your flight squadrons are great." Walden would say. "The men are ready to go at a moment's notice and are eager to get to their objectives."

As the food comes out, Walden would smile, ready to get something to eat.

As Zoroku introduced himself and his heritage there would be a few raised eyebrows and low murmurs from those at the table. The veteran pilot would lean forward in his chair, resting an elbow on the table. 'Is that so? What enemies is it that you speak of young jedi?' The others near by would also lean in, clearly interested in what this individual had to say.

Meanwhile the Mon Calamari would break into a wide smile at the compliments to his beloved station and its occupants from Walden and Muu. 'Excellent' he would say in the stuffy voice that most of his species seemed to have. 'You must see the station tomorrow during the height of productivity. Quiet a sight, let me tell you. We will have to get you out on a space walk over one of the ships. It is a truly haunting and beautiful experience'.

At this the foreman would raise a hand, letting out a small laugh. 'Let's not get too carried away Norlix. The jedi are here for a number of weeks, there will be plenty of time to see the whole station'. He would nod encouragingly to his guests before continuing. 'I do hope your haven't found being here too inconvenient. I understand there was some, confrontation with some of our staff. You must understand, emotions still run high around here, as they do in many places'.

“It was not a confrontation, your guards threatened me for something I did not do. One of them threatened my life because my people, the Mando’ade, killed some of his friends; despite the fact that I did not fight your Republic in the war, I was instead captured by a group of pirates and rendered incapacitated for the duration of the war. If you could persuade your men not to lynch me off the station I would appreciate it as it quite the masterpiece of engineering and I would like to be able to examine it.” Tiberius said, he had the feeling that if he walked alone, he would be set upon by the small mobs of workers that had been following them around, and his friends would most likely find him in a garbage can or floating in space, “We understand, however, that the war is still fresh in many people’s minds and it will not fade soon.”

" I feel that information should only be given to the High command and the Jedi Council." Zoroku looks around at all those eager to hear his his answer his gaze meeting with each one in turn, " But I will let you know this, there are two great powers to fear. One my people allied to fight the other... my people admire strength and that is why they keep such a dangerous ally. But I fear that an Ally such as that can quickly become an Adversary." Zoroku paused to take a drink from his glass before him studying the reactions of those listening to him, " I left my home world at a young age to try and find or forge a better ally than the one my people currently keep, I hope to bring the Republic up to my People's high standard." he begins to cut into the meal before him as he waits for a response.

Gaze listens to the various conversations going on around him, not feeling any desire to join in at the moment. After a few minutes of this, he turns to the foreman and asks. "So who was Captain Scaliwag? You know, the only person in this place that seems to have a sense of humor, and first spoke to us in the comms station when we entered orbit. I'm interested in meeting that person." He chooses to avoid answering any questions about what his opinion of the facility is, he'd rather not sour the mood of the dinner if at all possible.

There would be a few looks of disappointment from Zoroku's response, but those at the table seemed to have the sense to not push the subject. It would be fairly obvious that he had certainly sparked interest in those there. An individuals thoughts rarely expanded past known space. Even when Revan disappeared, there was never much more than speculation and the occasional second thought on the subject.

Meanwhile the veteran pilot would listen to what Walden had to say with a stern expression on his face. He looks as if he is about to say something before he turns to listen to what Tiberius has to say. He would snort at the comments.

He would earn a sharp look of disapproval from the admiral sat across her. 'What? he would say in a low drawl as he leans back in his chair chewing on a large mouthful of food. 'It's just I've never heard of one of them types not fighting in the war. Isn't it something like a disgrace to not take part in the war for their kind?'

At the question as to who had been on the communication console earlier, the foreman would sink into his chair, suddenly looking very tied. 'That, that would be mr Scarten. He's an intern from, oh, one of the outer rim worlds. He's training as a comm worker, but still has to work on his tone when answering communication'. It would appear that the foreman did not approve of the greeting that the jedi had received.

Gaze shrugs. "Well, personally, I'd prefer someone pretending to be a pirate, to guns in my face and threats of death, but what do I know about polite ways to establish communication between a station and ship." He takes a bite of his food. "I'd like to thank Mr. Scarten actually, for at least having a sense of humor when we showed up."

Muu nods. " Yes, Zoroku & Tiberius offer quite the perspective and expertise as risk auditors for the Jedi Order. Each Padawan able to identify vulnerabilities, forecast, and minimize any impact in their fields. Altogether beneficial for the reconstruction and advancement of our allies. Ideal for progress and moving forward, wouldn't you say? " the Iktotchi says with a smile.

“Yes, it is a disgrace for my kind to not fight in a war with our people, but then it’s also not the way of my kind to become a Jedi yet here I am. I’m not mad because your kind didn’t try and rescue me, I stand with the Jedi as they were the ones who raised me” Tiberius says laying the sarcasm down letting his temper get the better of him slightly.

Walden watches and eats while everyone else talks. Seeing Tiberius get pounced upon by the air commodore and the admiral, he decided to try and deflect at least one person away from the current argument.

Clearing his throat to try and get his attention, he says to the commodore, "Commodore, I noticed that you are not terribly pleased with what I have said about the squadrons. I would like to hear your concerns about the squadrons." Walden finishes it off with a friendly smile.

"Just follow what Master Sellas does in negotiations and hopefully, he'll peel off of Tiberius."

Even when Revan disappeared, there was never much more than speculation and the occasional second thought on the subject.

Zoroku sensing that interest had died down in his line of conversation did not push for its continuance, he continued working on his meal. "If my audience with Admiral Haghaw goes as planned I should be able to convince her convene a meeting of the High command."

" You should be more careful when selecting Interns Master Foreman. Especially those who ae going to be near Communications equipment... Wars have been started over less and it is always best to avoid necessary confrontation." Zoroku would say after Gaze commented on the intern.

As the meal continues and the starters were finished, the foreman would dab his brow with a napkin as Gaze speaks. 'You must understand master jedi, we did not know who you were until you landed. We could not jeopardize this station. As our head of security said, it as better to be safe than sorry'. He would hurriedly follow this up with a more positive note. 'If you wish, tomorrow we can arrange a meeting for you to see Mr Scarten and the communication complex perhaps?'

As Zoroku would speak about their choice of intern, one of the floor managers would look up from the recently delivered main courses. These were an equally impressive spread as their previous courses. Large portions of rich, overly exotic meals that few would ever have access to outside of government circles. 'We have to take interns from the outer rim. A lot of companies are accused of not including enough diversity from the frontier worlds, giving all the jobs to core world kids. He'll get the hang of it eventually. It's probably just as well he's not working at a consulate'. This would earn a small chuckle from a couple of people sat near him.

Fortunately, thanks to the tactful words of Muu and Walden, the response that the flight commodore was about to pass towards the Taung would be neatly avoided. Instead he would turn to look at Walden once more. 'Well I don't doubt that they're very good and flying a neat little circle around the station, they haven't really been tested for a while. If we come under attack, I'm concerned that they won't be truly ready for combat'.

Walden would nod at the commodore's comment. "I understand, commodore. It is difficult to gauge people's ability to fight when a fight is not coming. It was the same for me: I didn't know how I would do against those that would seek to harm me until it actually happened. The best we can do is train as much as possible."

Walden gets an idea. "...Is there no squadron that can pose as the enemy? Even if we're using the same ships, having squadrons fight against squadrons would allow those piloting to see the limit of their skills and ships. It could lead to new tactics."

"I also saw that they are quite prone to...competition. This would not only find pilots that need improvement, but their pride and eagerness to stake their reputations would provide an opportunity to improve."

"Of course, I'm not asking for them to actually blow each other to space dust. Nor should they be stuck to flight simulators all day. They need to get a feel for their ships. Would it be possible to set safeties on the weapons, too? Or is there just not enough resources for the suggestion I am offering?"

Muu dives into his main course, turns to the Foreman and says " Delicious " softly. The Padawan joyfully continued to listen to conversation.

The foreman would nod gratefully to Muu as he compliments the food. 'Oh I am glad you like it master jedi. We like to think that we can provide a good level of comfort as well as an excellent level of quality in our work'. The other officials would nod in agreement, all seemingly proud of this station and it's produce. With the main course finished, dessert was finally brought forward.

As the flight commodore listens to what Walden has too say, he would hum slightly as he considers what he has to say. 'Hm, well that definitely sounds better than what we've been doing right now' he'd say as he leans back in his chair again. 'Perhaps we can use you as a target for them? What do you say jedi?'

Once again the man would earna stern stare from the admiral. 'What? Come one, the jedi knows I'm joking, right?' He'd say innocently, gesturing to Walden lazily with one hand.

Meanwhile the foreman would look between the other jedi. 'Perhaps this is a good time for the jedi to ask any preliminary questions they have for us hm?'

"No offense taken, Commodore." Walden would say, smiling. At least there was thought to the idea and that was fine. "But if you wish for me to be a target, I would suggest having the flights to two or three fighters at a time. I may be a Jedi, but even we have our limits."
