In our game, one player decided to build an archon on a planet. Each space on the planet already had the maximum number of troops. Can the player build the two units needed to sacrifice for the Archon and sacrifice them BEFORE placing them or does the player have to destroy two units on the planet to make room for the units to be sacrificed and then sacrifice those units. So in this case, the player would end up losing four units instead of just the two he built.

Disregard...after rereading the rules, it is evident the units have to exist already, prior to the build order to build the Archon. This is our second game and there is always a rule or two that sneak by that we get wrong. It is a great game though.
