I never do something else again, then buy a high quality playmat and place some terrain.
Will i spend a ton on terrain?
If you want cheap but really nice looking terrain I can't recommend these videos enough...
Honestly, I'd go papercraft.
Print stuff out, cut, paste and you're good to go. I gotta believe you can find tons of stuff online. I used to make a bunch of papercraft stuff back in the MechWarrior and MWDA days that worked great. You can print in color, or black and white and then spray paint/hand paint to finish it. It's cheap, it's easy, it looks good.
I haven't looked into the stuff in years, but a quick google search for papercraft terrain and the mm you want gives a TON of results.
If FFG does sell terrain, it's likely to be VERY expensive. A single TIE fighter for X-wing or a single figure for IA is $15. A bunker you could stick half a dozen guys in would probably be $50+.
