New Adventures?

By plimpington2, in WFRP Gamemasters

I am new to RPG's. My experience is just with the D&D started sets, which had nice turn-key adventures. I just getting into the rules for the new Warhammer core set and note that there is an adventure in the back of the ToA. My question is this: after we complete that, are there other adventures available? If not, are some on the horizon for the system? Are adventures written for the old system (or another system) convertable to this new 3rd Ed?

Thanks

Not much is 'officially' available yet, although there are a number of fan-made adventures over on Hammerzeit. The Gathering Storm is due to release at the end of next month, which is the first major adventure available for this system from FFG. It's easy enough to convert previous versions of WFRP things to this system; there are rules posted somewhere on this board, and it doesn't usually take me more than 45 minutes to an hour to convert a standard adventure, although you have to fudge some classes and monsters, but that's no big deal for a creative GM. Check some of the "conversion" threads in this forum to see other work that's gone on to convert more complex adventures (particulary Snow White and Rose Red.)

In short, there's not much official out there because it's a new system, but there's plenty of premade stuff for the moment if you're not ready to run your own. There's not years worth, so you'll need to write your own stuff eventually, but there's enough to get you started.

I have about 100 scenarios. Many of them are from the Black Library... those that were posted back in the day on their website. I don't know if they are completely legal to publish now, but as I remember they were all user created and published on the website. I could send them to someone to have them uploaded somewhere, but I don't have a website myself.

On rpgnow.com you can also buy PDFs of Thousand Thrones, Plundered vaults and paths of the damned.
