Can somebody post the link to these character sheets, you mention?
GenCon Doomsday Clock
They are on Facebook and I'm on my phone so unfortunately I can't. If you have a Facebook account then apply to join the "Genesys Universal RPG System" page. It's a closed group so an admin will need to approve you.
The actual images are fairly low quality so hopefully someone with far more time than Phil gets better shots to share. If I get time I'll try getting the photos some place more public, probably won't happen until tomorrow though.
more details here on reddit

Is there a photo of a caster's sheet?
Check the reddit post, it's got all the images
Of what I see, I am sold
I love the way they handle spells, with quality and enhancement options
The Spells looks exactly how I hoped and it's awesome!

They do, as well as the talents and aspects listed on Uma's sheet. After GenCon I really hope for more details on creating such details.
Glad to see if can use my 7 sets of SW dice. But if I'm being honest with myself, I'll buy a few sets of the new ones as well.

I fear, I'l do the same. And probabl twice
If there's any beginner boxes I'll get those first then another few sets, I don't think I could cope with mixing my dice

FFG ist pulling the primeval collector in us, the hunter/gatherer
I went into Star Wars knowing at least 21 books and 3 beginner boxes would be purchased, it will probably be more like 30 when all is said and done. I'm here to say I'm happy to do that much again with Genesys!
So I see there are general Magic Actions like Augment, Attack, Barrier and Heal . These seem to be something like the main building blocks of a spell. Then they are applied some qualities called Additional Effects like Deadly, empowered, Ranged . And on top there are additionally more Additional Effects mentioned below in the desription like Reflection who can be purchased with additional purple dice.
Seems you can make spells out of a toolbox which is grrrrrrrreat!

I wonder if this is some kind of descriptor or category that a spell is given. Each spell caster type may have access to only certain Magic Actions?

These look a lot like Control, Range, Strength Duration and Magnitude upgrades for Force Powers
The Mage has an item listed under "weapons and armour" called Magic Tome. It allows the Mage to use Range and Deadly Additional Effects without increasing the Spells difficulty ?
Also of note is that the Elf Warrior has divine Spells due to a talent called Templar. It lets her cast a single divine spell per encounter at a cost of 2 Strain. The Mage though has no such limit on number of casts but still has the Strain cost. It also doesn't outline where the source of the Mage's Spells comes from perhaps it's from the Career (edit: actually it does say specifically that "Because Arcana is a career skill Leoric can cast Spells)

Yes, they mention he is able to cast spells because he has the Arcana skill as a career skill. So the ability to cast must be somehow tied to careers or limited casting aquired through talents.

And this is what I realy love. I somehow dislike the limits of spell slots in other systems. I liked the D&D 5e approach to remove the limit from cantrip use. This here is an elegant method to accomplish the same with even higher spells. Thanks to advantages you have a chance to refill your expended strain but then also to restricts excessive use every round. Yummy

From this we can surmise that having any of the magic skills will allow Spells. The method with which each spell is catagorised is still a big question. Will it be a free for all like Force Powers? (I hope not) or will those Magic Action categories be involved?

Maybe they will be free form building blocks you can allocate due to your setting but as the classical distinction between arcane and divine magic is nigh universal, my bet is the latter.
I hope it's something like:
"Arcane spell casters have access to the following Magic Actions"
Any insight into whether all a caster can do (magically) is use the spells on their sheets or if there is the opportunity to improvise different effects on the spot?
The Spells shown are all very mechanical, there's nothing like Misdirect Sense or Forsee. I suspect a specific spell will be required for a specific effect, although like in Keeping the Peace there could be an optional rule for learning on the go.
