Azanian Invasion - Expansion

By Reedstilt, in Talisman Home Brews

This expansion will adds about 8 new Characters and many new Adventure Cards, and few other miscellaneous cards, all with an African theme. There may be an Alternate Ending or two as well, but I haven't settled on those. At the moment, it's not adding any major new mechanics. The basic meta-plot to this expansion is that the land of Talisman is being colonized by the Azanian Empire, an advanced Zulu-esque empire that has already assimilated many other African-inspired cultures. They bring with them strange technologies and a menagerie of exotic creatures. Their emperor seeks the Crown of Command for himself, and has his dispatched his armies to stop any would be adventure from getting to it first.

You can see a preview of the characters in a previous post I made, though several of them need to be tweaked now. Here's a preview of some of the Adventure Cards, mainly featuring some of the "lower level" Enemies and a few other odds and ends. You may noticed that I'm borrowing from Bludgeon's new Stables cards here as well, so credit to him where its due.

Album of Cards

I do need a bit of help though. I'm having a hard time finding appropriate images for some of the firearms, particularly the blunderbuss, though I'd be happy to have suggestions for the pistol and the musket as well. Still not satisfied with them just yet.

If you have any other suggestions for cards, I'll see what I can fit in as well.

With a little bit of zooming to cut out the goblin, could work perhaps?

Great cards, Reedstilt! I saw this the other day but was so busy I didn't get a chance to comment until now. I like it! I grabbed a couple of cards to integrate into my personal set for the Dark World (Catalcysm board) like River of Blood, Mummy Cat, etc.

So I finally got around to working on this some more. I added a link to an Imgur album of all the cards (for some reason, I wasn't able to embed the album like I used to - anyone know anything about that?). If anyone has any comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
