Kylo-Quick-Null

(82) Kylo Ren
(12) Supernatural Reflexes
(8) Primed Thrusters
Points 102

(45) "Quickdraw"
(10) Special Forces Gunner
(2) Fanatical
(3) Fire-Control System
Points 60

(31) "Null"
(4) Squad Leader
Points 35

Total points: 197

How well is Fanatical and 3 pt bid working for you? I try to use all the points and slap juke on Quickdraw--gives that evade double mileage and makes her hostage-taking "Shoot and I'll pull the trigger on your ace!" far more effective, especially if the ace is out of green tokens.

Blue 5 forwards after boost roll and 2 hard blues after roll boosts are crazy, you can line up to pretend to joust and then just 100% not joust.

If everyone is bringing light Kylo bids, are those I5 resistance A-wings worth putting a bid on? They're about the cheapest I5s in the game that are not TIE Fighters. They're not a huge threat, but they can keep Kylo honest when he's maneuvering to get the most of the rest of your squad.

Talli with Adv Optics and Crack Shot in a list with enough of a bid can keep him honest. She's only 40 pts.

That keeps kylo honest?

I was thinking Lone Wolf/Crack Shot Lulo. Can easily turn into a double modded 3/4 dice attack. You can stick him with 3 Crack Shot Red Vets for a lot of beef and a 10 point bid. 10 points is probably too much, so you can adjust as you like, but you get the idea.

10 pt bids are not enough for the best kylos.

kylo lists only need the semblance of a wingmate to do any amount of work or just die slowly. The bids will continue until morale improves.

😞

That's why I prefaced the discussion "if people aren't taking big bids", because multiple sources have told me today that he doesn't need a big bid in Hyperspace. I'm dubious, but that's how it shakes out it opens more counters.

Also, from your experience, does Kylo especially care about move order vs Luke or Boba, or is it principally for the mirror?

Is the idea that a Kylo list kills just enough to get a lead then runs forever, @Tlfj200? I mean, I don't need a map of where Kylo can be, I just haven't seen an archetype like that be successful in 2.0 and it feels a lot like the Luke/Vader stuff we heard before.

There hasnt been a ship this mobile yet. Soontir is the closest comparison point and he cant premovement.

I'm playing this in the vassal thing:

Lieutenant Tavson (62)
Hyperspace Tracking Data (2)
Supreme Leader Snoke (13)

Kylo Ren (82)
Supernatural Reflexes (12)
Primed Thrusters (8)
Proton Torpedoes (9)

Total: 188

I hope it's not good, but I've seen this power once before. Can easily bid another 11 points without caring much.

Thats the most thematic list in the history of x-wing

This was my first thought for a Kylo list. It and Squad Leader Null are probably the worst specific cases of the general reason BioHex codes are banned in Hyperspace, right?

why deal in real terms when hyperbole laden diatribes will suffice. Decent i6 aces will feast on Kylo, Poe is the best of them. Interestingly, you can easily build Poe to out point Kylo, and even put regen on him if you like.

Best hyperbole I found today!

Sort of, but not inherently. It’s a possible win condition, but it’s board state dependent. Kylo can just kill many ships anyway.

Sort of all of the above.

its absolutely crucial in mirror. But honestly, like any pre-dial movement, you want to maximize the perfect info you get, so it’s for all i5s.

as for Poe - poe has the same problem as kylo in that he can’t bring much else, but for poe, it’s far more of a problem.

but being higher initiative is not inherently a silver bullet for kylo - we have become quite good at outmaneuvering and blocking higher iniatitive ships. Add his insane teleporting ability, and it’s more likely kylo does the proton firing than the i6 does.

It’s worth noting here I’m not bragging - I’m upset.

i don’t want to play supernatural reflexes: the miniatures game. I despise how it diminishes dial choice (both for the user AND the opponent).

Itll be variable soon probably.

Maybe.

it needs to be at least 30 at i5.

Uninronic Luke Gunner.

I was yelling something along the lines of TAVSON WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE UPSILON PILOT, THIS IS A THEME LIST

Then I wookiepedia'd it and was right on accident, nailed it.

“In the year 34 ABY,[3] he piloted the shuttle above First Order forces as they marched across the salt flats of the planet Krayt toward the surviving members of the Resistance, who had taken refuge in an old Rebel outpost.”

As long as Vader drops 18-20 points to compensate.

If you made Vader 20 points cheaper he'd be cheaper than Wedge.
