Going to do a quick run through for prep. Empire is in a rough place for hyperspace but I should be able to make something work.

Poe can be an expensive AS Redline if he wants to be

I haven't tried to wrap my mind around Resistance or FO yet, still not done trying to find cool Rebel, Imperial, or Scum lists.

Kylo and Poe are going to be fantastic, but i am no where near done "learning" how to play Vader and Fenn yet.

So heres what I am thinking, these aren't super optimized and definitely a bit of "i like these things so I put them in a list" going on here.

Of course there is also 5 Striker Wampa which is always in my kit regardless of format.

Imperial: 190 pts

Countdown is semi tanky against lower ship count lists and Duchess poses a more "complete" threat with Lone Wolf.

Could swap Countdown for Vermiel but I am a genuine believer in Prockets on Vader still, probably a bad idea but this "feels" solid.

Can go trip Sentinel instead but I dont know if that would be significantly more capable than this.

Darth Vader — TIE Advanced x1 70
Supernatural Reflexes 12
Fire-Control System 3
Proton Rockets 7
Afterburners 8
Ship Total: 100
Half Points: 50 Threshold: 3
“Duchess” — TIE/sk Striker 42
Lone Wolf 4
Ship Total: 46
Half Points: 23 Threshold: 2
“Countdown” — TIE/sk Striker 44
Ship Total: 44
Half Points: 22 Threshold: 2

Scum: 189 pts

Oddly enough of the 3 lists here this is probably my favorite since Fangs are just so unforgiving at times and entertaining as a result.

I want to keep Fenn/Old T as the starting point ( not interested in Scum Han or Escape Crafts as the third, they play awkwardly ).

Fangs seem great in the format. Three together is cool because they can move the 1st box location around reasonably well before the initial engage.

Their defensive abilities shine that much more but still gotta watch out for the wrong range engage, bombs, alt arcs, and those Proton Torp Alphas.

Fenn Rau — Fang Fighter 68
Fearless 3
Ship Total: 71
Half Points: 36 Threshold: 2
Old Teroch — Fang Fighter 56
Fearless 3
Ship Total: 59
Half Points: 30 Threshold: 2
Skull Squadron Pilot — Fang Fighter 50
Fearless 3
Adv. Proton Torpedoes 6
Ship Total: 59
Half Points: 30 Threshold: 2

Rebel: 195 pts

Rebel list building for Hyperspace is actually kinda awesome? This seems fun.

Tubes is basically an entire Movie in one Ship and Super Luke plays a tiny bit like Kylo.

Luke Skywalker — T-65 X-Wing 62
Supernatural Reflexes 12
Servomotor S-foils 0
Ship Total: 74
Half Points: 37 Threshold: 3
Benthic Two Tubes — UT-60D U-Wing 47
Saw Gerrera 8
Jyn Erso 2
Pivot Wing 0
Ship Total: 57
Half Points: 29 Threshold: 4
Wedge Antilles — T-65 X-Wing 52
Swarm Tactics 3
Proton Torpedoes 9
Servomotor S-foils 0
Ship Total: 64
Half Points: 32 Threshold: 3

I was told the only option was boba, prior to that i was told the only option was tie swarm. I refuse to accept other lists might be valid

I think rough place is overstating it. Not running away with all the best toys seems more accurate.

That said, short term FO or Resistance might be better choices as it seems the ships are cheaper priced.

I have a feeling that FFG's historic model of new stuff being cheaper/more efficient will remain true going forward. Point adjustments will bring the prior waves worth of stuff into alignment just in time for the next wave to spring (encouraging separation of $$ from wallets faster than a trade federation blockade of naboo). As I don't have any major events in my near future I will limit myself to OT Imp, Rebel, scum for the time being and use the challenge of 'rough place' to work on gettin gud.

Call it a self handicap but I don't care for the Ep. VII and VIII movies so I am not sure I will convert my resistance/FO stuff.

Can’t say you’re wrong.

I’m still trying to unlock something new in casual nights in prep for losing my tournament list come January.

Empire listbuilding suddenly got interesting because I don't have 183pts of my list preallocated.

I feel like TIE Swarms probably still have a place. I think enough Crack Shot makes the Boba matchup more manageable, and that's the hardest matchup, I think.

None of my coworkers know what oppai means so no consequences from showing up to dinner Sunday night and the next day I got to unironically look someone in the eye and tell them "I'm the architect now". So while my week may have been a dumpster fire from a business perspective it was an unmitigated success for memes

He can fly anything!

I want to see the dumpster fire on the front page if FFG banned all I5/6 pilots from hyperspace too.

My favorite movie characters, Ved Foslo and Kath Scarlett, make it happen.

I for one welcome the Saber Ace meta

Can you even be mad at a meta where Saber Ace is on top?

Interceptors didn't catch an invite to Smash, though. It'd probably be Planetary Sentinal Meta or something

How viable is the 142 i5 Swarm tactics support?

“Howlrunner” — TIE/ln Fighter	40
Swarm Tactics	3
Ship Total: 43
Half Points: 22 Threshold: 2

“Scourge” Skutu — TIE/ln Fighter	32
Swarm Tactics	3
Ship Total: 35
Half Points: 18 Threshold: 2

Iden Versio — TIE/ln Fighter	40
Crack Shot	1
Ship Total: 41
Half Points: 21 Threshold: 2

Academy Pilot — TIE/ln Fighter	23
Ship Total: 23
Half Points: 12 Threshold: 2

The problem is which ace to put in for Hyperspace? I'm leaning towards Crack/FCS Stele but idk how viable that is...

Oh man, the tie swarm is great, don't ruin it with maarek! Vermeil would do well for you. Also, I'd recommend the other inferno squadron pilots over scourge - Gideon or del meeko or seyn. Probably Gideon.

Page 666 was very disappointing.

A large portion of the Hyperspace complaints would go away if FFG added A-wings, B-wings, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, and Lambdas.

Then we get Movie Ships: The Format.

You underestimate the complainers......give them an inch and they'll still want the full mile.

That's what I was hoping for; lets me run my Sabers and Fel.

These are both likely correct.

Summer or maybe spring 2020 hyperspace will be when we find out if there's a rotation, I guess?

I think that's because there are different categories of Complainer.

Some want their Favorite Ship for a couple years, the TIE Interceptor or A-wing
Some want their Favorite Ship for a couple months, the TIE Punisher or HWK-290

Truth. My problem with hyperspace is that it feels more like Marketing: The Format instead of a thoughtfully curated set of ships meant to produce an ideal competitive environment. It might very well be a better competitive format than points adjusted extended (I reserve judgement on that till we get the points adjustments) but it also feels stunted and not for the right reasons.
