Amazing. Every word you said, was right. But in addition to that, you do have a sort of vacuum idea that will end up in "How do I achieve my dream endgame whilst preventing the opponent's?" And since most Resistance bombers I see are light (for instance, Bob is now expensive as **** even before tragedy sim) and their guns are only 2 to the side but far more temptingly 3 forward, they haven't bugged me much. And as one hoping to conjure a Poe + 2 bomber list with loads of area control for the big lol, I am disappointed to discover that at most you can fit an A-wing after a near naked bomber and decent Poe.

-Edit- Case in point about the exorbitant pricing of the Resistance bomber, its initiative 1 guy costs 5 mother****ing points less than Poe himself! whilst Bob (Now known as Finch) costs only 10 pt less than Rey!

That "only 2 to the side" is having a nasty tendency to push hits through my green dice on Fangs and Interceptors, though..

Big oof. Forget that those guys don't have shields. And that they can't pull pre-maneuver nonsense to widen their path to behind a rock at r3. Alas, we run into rock, paper, scissors again!

@Tlfj200 on the recent cast you guys mentioned Rebel Han. Rebel Han is actually good now, just people aren’t flying him (people think turrets are bad). The only major thing Han loses in Hyperspace is Kanan Crew. But R2-D2/Lando/Inertial is sufficient, then the Han style changes from the Kanan version and is more of a tank than arc dodger. Plus he’ll probably see a point reduction by the looks of it.

Rebel Han is really good, as I said previously he's "problem" is that it's one of the most unforgiving ship in the game right now. One mistake or a couple of bad rolls and it's often gg.

For this reason I don't think he's good enough for tournament play right now because even champion runs usually involve some unpunished mistakes. He's also somewhat overcosted making it harder to fit a proper wingman imo.

In Hyperspace he suffers the loss of Kanan which is a serious blow, but if the field also gets lowered as a whole he could be better off anyway. Probably I would play him with Bistan and R2+Perceptive at that point.

I'm not a fan of not having complete control on actions, and even if Lando is value more often than not, personally I wouldn't risk to be left with the token I didn't actually need time to time, especially since I'm finding Bistan better and better

Between the 2400 (curse you Leebo) and Han Solo in the 1300, it's starting to look like Rebels should have been flying big base 1.0 style the whole time. Biggs lists too.

I'm willing to do some idiot checks with Solo. The rest of the list always makes me a bit squeamish. Two ship lists seem scary.

Eh, I’ve been flying Han/Luke for quite awhile. In 8 tourney games I’m 7-1. Small sample and local games, so not good evidence, but I felt how strong the list can be in every game.

Yeah, but what happens when I’m the idiot? I’ve likely put a large base on the board in a tournament setting less than two dozen times in three years

I would like to take a minute of silence for Cat.

While you perform a primary attack, if the defender is at range 0-1 of at least 1 friendly device, roll 1 additional die.

So you either need -> an unexploded mine or a bomb dropped by someone else with Paige Tico. So another 73 for at least a Cobalt, Paige, Seismic :D minimum to MAYBE gain 1 additional attack die ONCE?

Or if you want to do that yourself - you need Paige on Cat, then a bomb, a turret gunner. All to let you shoot, drop a bomb via Paige and shoot again.

Bomb detonate at the end of activation. Loose Cargo is not a device. We ideally want mines to hit a ship.

What a waste of cardboard.

Also the other problem: can we really consider the bombs, Er, devices we drop as friendly if they damage us as well?

Only if they damaged us without malicious intent.

Use Veteran Turret Gunner and get that extra dice twice. I am at least going to try out Cat/Finch and Edon/Ben as double star fortress squads.

That still requires a ton to go right.

Mines: Either one must drop a mine in System phase in such a way that it does not hit a ship during Activation. And a ship must be at Range 1 of it during combat.

Bomb: Someone has to drop a bomb (Finch with Paige being the best candidate) during Engagement phase range 0-1 of an enemy ship Cat can see.

Tragedy stiming a bomb 5 forwards to get in some early damage, or just taking Finn, Veteran Turret Gunner and someone with M9-G8 locking the bomber (or FSC, or both - 2 rerolls on each attack seem neat) and double tapping out the front that way seems A LOT simpler. :D (Also still worse than just taking 2 ships).

I was playing 4 Sabers + Gideon Hask against @gennataoslast night who was trying out Dash/Roark. I definitely did not fortress in the obstacle free quarter of the board. My 1-turns + barrel roll were active engagements and required quite a bit of mental planning to perform it correctly.

It's not fortressing if I look like I am thinking about what to do.

Also there were 12 dashes at unplugged. All of them were dash roark. 33% of rebel lists were dash roark. Field of 165.

I WAS ALWAYS TEAM CANCER

Best part was I think that there was only 1 for the second chance tourney.

And I’m listening to locals who want Dash cheaper come January...

I don’t want to go back to 1.0! You can’t make me go back! Let me off the ride!

Turns out people don't understand numbers but they do understand how to copy lists.

I honestly want Dash to be viable without the double tapping shenanigans. Is he just so good that you just take him twice?

Woah, wait now. To be clear, I was the test dummy, running Dash/Roark for other people to blow up (which only @Biophysical was able to do)

34 Boba Fetts - only one in the top 16; only four in the top 32. Mysterious.

Boba decided to show up to hyperspace early to be the big dawg. Left extended.
