Even more of a meme format? The voted upgrades cost 0 for the tournament. Did empire still get the best deal? It should be easy to get a free talent slot, but open crew might not be too bad.

The list in terms of best deal is now:

1. Empire (Ruthless isn't preventing anything, and an ept is easy to come by)

2. Rebel (Crew is hardish, but not terrible. plus a -8 points discount isn't too bad, and leia isn't preventing anything)

3. Scum (Has to play a crew ship, can't play boba and only gets 4 points off for their trouble.)

Very true, though I've found Strikers are pretty great at lining up bullseye shots with their crazy maneuverability.

Why are the rest of the forums so vehemently defending elusive? It’s absolute garbage. It’s 1 reroll a turn at most, and essentially costs your action to recharge.

You know what? Screw it. Please fly elusive against my tie swarm. I promise one reroll will make a huge difference.

It's probably worth about +1 health on most ships (assuming you only trigger it when you have a defensive focus token and you rarely get more than 1 use out of it per game). So I would just figure out whether the 3 points + Talent slot is worth that much to you on a given build and go from there. I don't think it's a game winning ability but then again very few of the Talents are anymore. I'm putting it in the same mental category as Stealth Device - probably a trap at the moment but potentially worth considering down the road as the game develops.

So I'm only in on Elusive in certain scenarios mostly have to do with taking it instead of Lone Wolf because it's on a ship that has to be close to other ships. First, put it on Howlrunner herself because the longer you can keep Iden's ability active (aka Howlrunner alive), the better and when the first pass of the TIE Swarm means keeping Howlrunner alive, it's likely worth it. Second, if you don't have enough points for Lone Wolf or don't want to fly a ship range 3 or further away from your friendly ships, it can be worth it. Duchess is a solid platform for it because she cares less about gaining stress because Ailerons can still work on her and she will likely be using the sloops to turn around which will recharge it. If you have a ship that has 2 agility or higher that is a lynch pin of a squad (Howlrunner, Captain Jonus, IG88A, etc.) it has value because you are helping defend against the opponent's clear #1 target. The bottom line is that it's one of the few ways to passively help against blank evade results. It's not the "be all end all," but it has it's place.

Elusive B-Wings seem ok? The named ones sure do have some offensive dice mods.

There's not much of an opportunity cost on Talents, particularly on ships which can't reliably get a bullseye. I guess?

I think the talent breakdown mostly goes:

Am I normally evading, throwing 3 dice and have 4 points to spare? Ok Juke.

Do I have a way of routinely abusing positional or target lock failures and cool with a focus? Ok Composure.

Am I scum and always want to be in range 1? Fearless.

Do I want something in my bullseye arc often because of other abilities? Predator.

Do I plan to barrel roll often and my current one is red? Expert handling.

Do I have one point to spare and a lot of ships to spread Damage around and Empire? Ruthless

Do I have Wampa, an i5 ship with an open EPT and 3 points to spare? Swarm Tactics

One point left? Crack it is.

......

None of the above? Lone wolf on 2 ship lists

Elusive *maybe* on an A-wing or Striker you expect to be stressed a few times a game.

Any word on if the Composure Corran interaction actually works?

There's a lot of ambiguity on composure and an errata/FAQ is certain to be coming.

My favorite use of Elusive is as a 'Chopper' charge. It's a two turn shield regen (one if you have advanced sensors), but it sounds hilarious.

Played some more 2e yesterday...

Most fun I've had in so long. I'm not sure if it's only because the new mechanics are so much better, or also just being so bad and learning again, but it's a great time.

I also agree with the statement wholeheartedly.

Flew a game on Monday of Soontir/Yorr/Maarek vs. Boba/Fenn/Ndru. It looked like I was going to win because I managed to snipe Fenn with the Lambda's back arc, and then I misjudged distances and landed Soontir on a rock, popping his Shield Upgrade and Stealth Device and setting him up to be one-shotted.

I'm suddenly bad at the game and I'm loving it.

It looks so sexy on the medium base too.

I'm scared to see what @Moneyinvolved (best redlineplayer in the world by the very accurate world's standings) does with redline now that it's not a meme
