Also I won my first store championship yesterday. The hardest bit was running away with Quiz for 25+ minutes once I was ahead on points - especially since I was trying to play fast and I forgot for 10 minutes that my four straight was green. Someone also tried to do the old trajectory + "genius" trick and I went "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

this is the squad I was talking about for mass offense.
Shara Bey can get 5-6 dice pretty regularly with this combo. I've been practicing keeping it in formation too and it's pretty simple. If Shara can't get the shot then Wedge has the opportunity to hit hard too. Not only that, but both Wedge and Shara will shoot at i6 which can be devastating to most opponents on the field. This is the list I'm most excited to fly in 2.0...and really the only rebel list I'm excited for. Obviously Jan Ors is built to add a white coordinate so that she can hand out the second mod to whomever is in a better position at the time to strike.
Only fine tuning I want to do with this list is figure out what I can remove to get a stronger bid in place.
I guess this kind of doesnt really bother me. For Shara, the maximum potential requires coordination of two ships, aligning a target with an I4 ship, no actions for repositioning for either ship, and no re-rolls on the 4/5 dice attack. Its 2/3rds of aclist to genrate that attack. It requires a lot of things to go right, sp it seems fair to me. Not something I'm too worried about from a game balance perspective.
Upon further reflection, the ship that I'm maybe most concerned about from a ramped offense perspective is the Punisher. Both named pilots can get TL/Focus Proton Torpedoes following a flung Proton Bomb. Very few special circumstances required.

Adv Sensors Redline looks disgusting since his ability says aquire a target lock after performing an action which I think gets around the AS limitations.

Correct. Yeah, he's nasty
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The two really bad ships that the forums were exploding about both got over-buffed (Firespray and Punisher)

How does this look for a pairing? Gives you 78 points for whatever.

While you all are having fun theorycrafting 2.0 I'm here trying to choose what to bring to our 1.0 national in september... I've been playing mostly ghost fenn for the last months because the ETC, but with reapers giving krennic to filthy autothruster aces and xwings everywhere it's probably time to play something else, except I don't know what

We have a nationals in 3 weekends, but none of us are playing (at least not Chris and I).
Paul Heaver isn't even playing - he's the marshal instead.
Reigning National Champion would rather do that than defend his title.
Edit/Addendum: The national is in DC, where I live.

If you know your bad matchups and how to beat them (or at least give it a fair chance), then I would probably stick with what you know. Of course I tend to play something different at every event, so my advice may not be the best.
However Ghost Fenn was such a boogieman at the start of the year that it is probably one the most "solved" lists. There is very little variation, so you don't need to really think much about a game plan against different versions of it.

Technically it is VA. Which is a ploy to scare off all of the people in MD since we have to cross the American Legion Bridge.
I have just played in the funniest xwing tournament ever. It was 1.0 and the most competitive I've been so far. I still like 1.0 a lot, so in the end I'm not that salty about having 1.0 nationals on 22nd of September like I was when it was announced.

Is that the bridge that goes over a river of fire? I remember Paul saying there was a river of fire outside dc

double reaper ace is good.
"5X" variants are good.
Nym/Miranda is apparently still good.

Yeah I will probably end up playing GHost Fenn because I kinda know every possible matchup of that list.
Thing is I would have liked to be the last one to win 1.0 nationals (and win a chance to meet you guys at worlds), with Ghost Fenn unless I get incredibly lucky with pairings, won't have many chance to do better than top cut. But it's not like I have many other options thought

The last two gencon runner ups played like a combined 8 games with their lists before hand. You'll be fine

I know I see fire trying to cross it during rush hour.

Yeah, I was proposing double reaper ace as one of our Imperial list since we were discussing them last month, I'm considering them but I'm not sure I could fly them like the others who are playing them since release thought. I'm also not sure if I wanna buy 2 reapers with 2.0 so close, but that's very secondary
5x stuff, or 4x+1 or even better 4 ships rebel are what are making me reconsidering the GHost. I know for sure I can win the matchup, but it's very hard to reliably beat them with the ghost. I've win more than I lost so far thought.
Nymranda is my only other realistic option, since it plays fairly against x-wings. But I'm not sure how it fares against reapers, doesn't vermeil royally screws miranda up as long as he can give her the initiative?

Yeah I would say that specific list practice can be overrated. I played a palp aces list for the first time ever yesterday, but I had an understanding of the moving parts. I made a few mistakes, but Palp helps with that. Check out the latest listener series (or at least the one from early in the year) - it has some great tips how to approach a tournament. Look at meta-wing, trying to evaluate how the tops lists fair against each other and pick one to fly.
As I look at it, Ghost Fenn may be a better choice than it was during World's as the Reaper feasts upon a lot of predators of Ghost Fenn. I expect the top cut to be Reapers, Nym/Miranda, X-Wing Swarms, and the random jank. Ghost Fenn doesn't really care about jam - the hardest part of that matchup will be killing the Ace. But if you know how to take on the classic Palp Aces, not much has really changed from a Ghost Fenn perspective.

I'm going to face people who were my teammates at the ETC! THey have tens of games under their belt!
But you are right, I will probably do better than anyone but them

He can screw with her Alpha. I would be tempted to switch thermals for ions just to get that 97 point bid as I would be really surprised to see Vermeil under 98. Or just use Miranda as a flanker with regen TLT to take down Vermeil. I think my gameplan is to kill Vermeil first, then the Palp carrier, and then have Miranda run for time.

Just know all the rules at the final table. I suspect that was what hosed the last two guys

Thing is reapers, or rather than specifically them the crews they have, are quite predators of the Ghost. Krennic is bad, Kylo is worse. Vermail is squishy but ignores sensor jammer. All reapers with supporting crews can disengage if needed and force bad damage distribution. All in all, I don't like playing against them IF their player knows their potential.
X-wing swarms are another thing not so good for the GHost. WHile I'm quite confident against them, I'd rather play against 100 point miranda.
Also classic palpaces, at least the one with expertise on QD, is almost an unwinnable matchup. I've lost games where Yorr never shooted the whole time...

Take Kylo and two Tie Strikers. There is no more enjoyable or thematically appropriate way to let the past die.

Yeah if that is your experience, I would switch lists. Expect Reapers (with Palp) and X-Wings everywhere. I'm also hoping they don't price lock any upgrades behind epic ships anymore in 2.0 - I finally borrowed a Palp and it is nonsense.

If I'm crunched for time which listeners should I download? Just 4?

Honestly I haven't listed to the other ones, I just found that one pretty helpful in getting in the tournament mindset and how to select a list. SPOILER: Just pick something meta unless you have some secret list that is meta shaping like Dengaroo.
