Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

Also holy **** r4 astro is 2 points

Yea man. Again I am out of my league but that seems badass on Corran to get that 1 hard turn back.

And while im thinking about Wedge...

52 Wedge
4 Lone Wolf Talent
9 Proton Torp
2 Chopper Astro
8 Afterburners Mod
0 Servo Configuration

Way more points, I think I would just go with just Lone Wolf.

But Chopper turning Afterburners into 2 "free" shields without a disarm looks pretty good to for 2 pts.

I think at 52 points he's a nice addition to a jousting squad that also puts squirrelly I5 ships (Phantoms, Dash, etc.) in awkward situations, and can make other 9s really nervous with a bid.

Lone Wolf + Wedge = 56 pts.

Its thats not at least ok I don't know what to believe anymore.

I'm not sure it's bad, but I don't personally believe at the moment

My own problem with Wedge is simply that he has a giant kick-me sign taped to his back. He's very good at hitting targets and very poor at getting out of the way when the bus comes in toward him. Now, being cheaper you're not losing 40% of your list when he drops, and the general token stacking atmosphere has been reduced, so he might be able to pull his weight. I hope so!

Well, if anyone here likes being disrespected as a listener and you're desperate for more Krayt-like content, there is always this. We talked about the points PDF for basically the entire episode, which was helpful because now I feel like I sort of understand what's good and what's not.

We actually have good content this time.

I would like to do a compare and contrast between our analysis, the Krayt analysis, and any other podcasts.

Ok what I learned on our podcast: This is 199 points:

Why does X-Wing 2.0 look like X-Wing 1.0?

Drop lone wolf to Trick Shot- Lando provides rerolls. Add Rigged Cargo.

Actually- let's build on that. Lando pilot stresses you, so you want more green

Greedo is filler.

Drop maul and Greedo to leet and a gunner of choice? (Dengar?)

So the question here is... does this new s---show beat a TIE swarm? Fat Han/Nym was something that didn't fit in 1.0, so I'm wondering if this is all a series of horrible typos?

But actually, unfortunately, I know FFG too well...

Genius Proton bombs.

Freeze-bomb Nym.

Large base turreted boost.

But wait! Here at Sabine's Bombs 2.0 Shopping Network you get most of our inventory from 1.0 at half price! Yes, many of the bombs you know and love are available at half when compared to your normal suppliers under the 1.0 rule system!

Disclaimer: Half price sale excludes bomblet generator and seismic charges. Ion bombs prohibited in all regions under Imperial law.

Probably has the same ability as the falcon?

first glance, is 0-0-0 + lando crew good value? 10 (5) points for a free green token that becomes a situational target lock?

It's weird getting used to upgrades mostly being over-costed for their value again - it's been years since adding ships over upgrades has been the correct answer. Building ships and deciding that leaving the Talent slot empty since nothing really meshes that well is a bizarre concept.

So thing about that list, krayt krayt little krayt or two and a half krayts if you prefer, is that it's much scarier on paper because of the 1.0 names of the cards. 2.0 ion cannon turret is no 1.0 tlt. Scum han generally only has 2 attack dice. He can get more obviously, but he's not shooting 3 with predator every turn. 4 proton bombs is a lot, but it's not infite at ps10. There's not much to stop incoming damagae. There's a ton of effects that do give you the ability to outplay the opponent, but you're trying to paper cut them to death unless they're just jousting your nym in formation. Like in 1.0 if i bring 4bz against han nym I've lost before the game started (though you're probabaly at like 110 points?) But if I've got krayt krayt krayt krayt krayt in 2.0, i can put real damage that sticks on you every turn so long as i dont mindlessly walk into those protons.

I just see 2 low agility ships that can be arc dodged and are not protected by Infinite Regen, Reb Fenn, or Lowhrick.

Nym can't take the sky from me. Not again.

Going to test this against Soontir, Vader, Duch Bro or Palp Jendon to see how wrong I am.

How about if I took Krayt, Krayt, Krayt, Krayt? I think it might fair well, since I obviously outgun the Falcons and can withstand all but the luckiest of bomb hits.

yeah, seems really gud on the scum falcon in particular, as you get even more use out of them stressing themselves.

I'm just scared of genius TBH. It's the only 0 point upgrade that isn't a Config, and it's really ******* good. ****, I was expecting it to drop at around 10 points.

WHY IS GENIUS CHEAPER THAN R5KT

WHY IS THE DROID THAT LETS YOU SHOOT YOURSELF MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE DROID THAT LETS YOU DROP BOMBS AT HIGH PS AFTER YOU ASENSORED A BARREL ROLL.

FFG PLS FIX

Genius being free really is one of the weirder pts decisions they've made. Bombs are obviously worse than they used to be, but Genius bombing is still kind of scary enough to warrant some non-zero pt cost.

It's also now the only way to ever drop bombs with knowledge of what your opponent did that turn. Combined with Nym, Advanced Sensors, and Ablative Plating, surely they could have seen that Genius is worth way more than 0 points, right?

I would't say 'way more' - it's not like VI Kavil Genius was ever particularly scary (in the grand scheme of things) and we've had that since scum came out. Nym had other issues that compounded it.

But yeah, considering the droid that lets you shoot your own guys is a point, I would've expected Genius to be as well.

I think I have a conditional answer to the question of bombs on Strikers.

If the situation is "Han/Dash is popular" the answer is "**** yes Seismic Charges!"

Even if you just have Duchess, getting rid of two useful obstacles to deny Han/Dash bonus garbage for being near rocks is pretty cool. If you have two Strikers, it's a pretty empty field.
