That's exactly what I did. Went wide around a large base, got confused looks, declare the droid to boost back in, immediate 'oh! That makes sense' response. It's certainly fun and effective.

I wouldn't put it past him. Line up those 3 shots, and bring them around faster on the disengage. Probably decent for 32 points.

Maybe Soontir, but not much else. I do like the idea of a bomber swarm getting in among the enemy ships. Maybe it's better than I'm guessing.

I think this might even be the real strength of it. It's just so good when you can guarantee it.

Granted, taking it at high ps and just getting "perfect information", is pretty good.

I would also like to note how much I hate the phrase perfect information. It was fine with palpatine, and it's fine here too. It's even fine with Nym.

It's not really perfect information, because you don't know if you'll get blocked, and plenty of times you'll have a target in arc, but not the one you want.

I definitely need more vassal time with the FAA... Trying to formulate a list where I only need to buy one shuttle is frustrating. I want more.

It seems in most cases with the lists that are being talked about, you'd likely need to buy at least 2. I'm most interested in trying the 4 GSP title Y-Wings, 3 with FAA and 1 with Chopper (GChips, Bomb Loadout). Is Vassal updated with the Sheathipede article cards yet?

Speaking of Biggs. If X-wings aren't utter shite, Biggs with an FAA is just a PS5 X-wing that can save his buddies. That doesn't sound too bad.

Also speaking of Biggs, FSR2 made top 8 at NZ nationals last weekend....

I saw that too... and for a moment considered using the list again at Regionals. (hey, I almost have a dozen reps on it now!) I don't expect to have the same success over here though unless I manage to dodge all the harpoon match ups and roll better unmodified dice to actually kill those super dodgy VCX-100s. Stupid wookies. The list itself though still works against a fair number of match ups.

Harpoon matchup isn't nearly as bad as you think, and Biggs' offense is way stronger now. It's still a super solid squad, never was easy to fly (once you have to come out of the corner) and makes firing arcs matter.

The top 8 match against Paul (eventual winner) was recorded and should hit youtube sometime

I never practiced the fortress so never put it into play - still did very well. It was a strong list, and it remains a strong list. Harpoons are... interesting. For most of the ships in this list it's not a problem aside from the poor sap who gets to take the damage. Rex isn't so fond of flying next to somebody with a harpoon stuck in their wing. Rex also has a tendency to explode. Don't get me wrong, a single harpoon is not the end of the world for this list, but I think harpoon spam is going to suck. I'd be willing to try it out though for learning purposes.

Hmm.. Need to review rules... does Draw their Fire rob a chance for the harpoon to trigger? Something to research tonight.

I would have agreed with before playing it about Rex, but I found through experience he is a tough nut to crack, with 3 green dice, evade token, Lowhhrick's reinforce, DTF and selflessness.

I was fortunate enough not to run into harpoon spam, but a single ship with harpoons is nothing. Against a Deadeye Lok, you can supress it with Rex, use Biggs, save the Reinforce and have a 40% chance to dodge it completely. Or the 5 hit harpoon from Miranda into Rex. Roll 1 evade, spend evade token, spend reinforce, DTF, take 1 damage on Rex.
