I feel like the Firespray might end up being the most busted thing in 2.0...

Alex likes bounty hunters so much, and the Firespray has been bad for so long, I'm kind of predicting it to have been fixed way too much.

If Firesprays and Fort T-65 are the most busted thing in 2.0 we can hang the "Mission Accomplished" banner right now.

I'm so looking forward to the top meta pilots not being "random guy from random video game two or three of you even played #3"

Nah. They have no linked actions. Most of the pilots only get passive mods with certain triggers (Boba range one, Krassis from secondary weapons, Kath if a generic is bumping something). They are still the same action starved chassis they were before, but with a better action bar available and a smaller more maneuverable base. Only one of them is going to be able to use the rear tail gunner slot it looks like. So if you have two in a list, at most you are performing 3 attacks a turn under ideal situations. And that's backed by only 20 health.

Supernatural, FCS, Procket, Afterburners has been so much fun!

FCS in particular is ridiculous and all you have to do is keep stuff in arc to get the bonus.

Which makes my other single action crackshot and predator ships feel so much more difficult (in a good way).

Having a TL with prockets is really helpful to since most of the time with 2.0 prockets you might just have focus to modify unless you set up at R3 the prior turn or something.

And not being able to boost all the time with Vader but still kinda being able to with Afterburners or Supernattie take a damage to boost in very rare desparate situations is really cool.

Especially since after you stress you can still focus modify like a boss. ( Force really does feel like cheating )

Running Vader is even more interesting than it was in 1.0 and thats saying alot since 1.0 Vader is still probably my favorite ship in the old game.

But now...im not just making a simple choice between

  • Option 1: Nope the **** Out
  • Option 2: Token Up
  • Option 3: No Consequences Range 1 TL Focus
  • Option 4: Guess I lose? Why didnt I just bring Palp Inquisitor?

That's where I think Lando crew and/or Han gunner for Marauder titled Firesprays come into play. Both offer a way to mitigate lack of linked actions. Actually, dang...Boba piloting Marauder Firespray with Lando crew and Han gunner...that sounds ridiculously efficient.

I'm reasonably sure the tie swarm is going to be a monster also, the game is being designed to be reminiscent of an era when it was dominant, it got wayy better with the addition of iden AND it eats bad players.

We don't know if Han Gunner is compatible with rear arc vs turreted ships.

He doesn't require anything in particular in terms of turret vs arc and Marauder title just adds a gunner slot along with a single dice reroll when shooting out the rear arc. I'm assuming you were thinking of Rebel Han gunner?

I guess the important thing is that:

1) It looks like you need the title to get a gunner crew slot.

2) Gunner crew either give abilities, give extra attack, or both.

3) There's different iconology for rear arc vs turret. Han scum gunner does not appear to give secondary shot?

Man I was thinking of dropping a faction, but it looks like I am going to be all in. There are ships on all 3 factions that I want to play.

Those are the best factions. Less stuff to collect.

They're also probably the most balanced factions in 1.0 too. Rey, Poe, Kylo, TIE/FOs, QuickDraw, Resistance Bombers, and T-70s are all pretty balanced with each other

Both 7th sister cards look like they might have potential, pricing dependent. Unlimited every other turn crackshot or the ability to royally screw with anyone that stresses themselves near you both nifty.

Kallus is kind of better since he doesn't wear off but worse since he no longer helps on defense, a wash I guess

Boo no Carnor Jax ?

Daredevil looks potentially sweet on non-force aces

Hotcop still exists in Hotshot form, though now turret only I guess

Redline maybe good now?

Looking forward to saying "We shall double our efforts" before boosting my entire squadron. Amazing that it's each friendly ship, so you can boost EVERYTHING.

Fifth bro looks like he’s going to be the cheapest way to give a ship force, whatever he costs is going to theoretically be the cost of 1 force rank.

Holy crap...7th Sister...does she apply during the activation phase? If somebody does a linked action in range one of you and takes a stress you can tractor them onto a rock. She's going to be the source of a lot of salt.
