I recommend AP5/Fenn Rey. It is insanely fun compared to ReyLow and not as predictable.

Saw Crew is a bit of a wild card. I mean, we know he's crazy nuts good, and we know he's immune to Jam, but we don't know if there will be a major combo that uses him to really ramp something over the top. I could see Saw as part of a tech swap on something that brings a pretty high level of functionality to a list.

5x (and variants) is the other big potential meta threat. It seems crazy good, but probably pretty practice dependent, and I don't know a lot of people that want to practice it super-hard before 2.0 hits.

aw, just had my third reaper game. ISB really is great. The game only lasted 2 turns of combat with me rolling perfectly average offense and simply 0 evades, while he rolled perfect offense (in one attack the 0.3% chance happened) and - worse! - perfect defense. All unmodded because of ISB, mind.

As much fun* the reaper is, I can't wait for 2.0!

I don't think second edition really helps with the "my opponent only rolled evades" problem, just makes it increasingly less likely because of mods (which apparently weren't involved this game)?

Hah, I thought about adding a comment how 2.0 might have more of these situations because mods are rarer. (e: comparably. Fewer mods means more instances where you can't change your non-evades into something better and thus more instances to remember. Currently we have so many mods that you rarely have unmodded shots, but even so, a ship with TL+Focus getting 4 natties doesn't concern me because he usually gets them anyway. Not so much if he has no mods, again making it more memorable)

(My reaper had to jam, so no mods for him. QD and Reaper attack were with mods. And I took the risk with vader of taking a TL instead of both green tokens - little did I know that 4red without mods vs 3green+focus will end in 2hits and 2 crits. The mentioned chance of 0.003.)

I can definitely see people not believing ISB Slicers working the way it does, and being pretty grumpy about it. I believed it worked that way and didn't like it.

under estimated 2.0 rule change effect: when playing beers/shots for shield tokens and regen, less chance of passing out or developing alcohol poisoning.

I ran Vader, Quiz, and VK reaper. I dumpstered a 4x + Z95 list. Then went up against QD, Juke Ryad and the PS1 Reaper with Krennic and tactical officer. I got curb stomped by that list. I was OP'ing Vader. I think Quiz may have been a better pick and swapping out Vader for QD. I just like the SF chassis better.

I could also make an edge case argument for vectored thrusters on PS8 Vermeil. So many times I could have BR'ed out of arc while getting TL from the ship I optomized. In some ways that would have been more valuable than an extra defensive dice from LWF.

Holy ****, the Blooper battle and Kamek rally challenge. I see what they were doing with the Blooper battle, but that Kamek rally was some hooooorrrrsssseee ssssssheeeeiiiit. I never want to see another pirate movie.

Did they fly it together and let you jam everything? I'm starting to think if someone is going X-Wing heavy, you want crack zealots and a couple of the named ones (definitely Wes, dunno if it's Wedge or Luke). I also don't know if any of them will be any good.

Putting Nora and Saw in instead of Braylon still fits and they synergize really well.
