Time to knock the dust off of Vader, he's going on the table. Vader, Quiz and Vermeil + Krennick. Giving it a shot tonight. The reaper looks silly when it's in the box. It gets even more ridiculous once you take it out and put it on a small base.

Because some variation on Vermiel Krennic is definitely it.
Its amazing how much easier 1.0 is when you have mods and your opponent can't even choose to have them.

Pretty much why I am thinking of flying VK with a Defender. Sounds really easy.

I've seen a lot if lists with VK (I like that abbreviation), and I've written a few, and honestly it feels like none of them are wrong. It's just a matter of what ships you like to fly. It's all good.

Oh I didnt say that Easy implies winning. Its more about the feeling of complete control it gives you over gameplay.

Are there any situations when it makes more sense to Optimize Quiz instead of Vader? I could make an edge case on Ghost Fenn and Dash matchups where Quiz is actually my preferred end game ace since AT minimize turret damage.

I flew my reaper as pure support who also gets a shot with the TL from the prototype. But in this case here you turn him into an actual damage dealer in the squad, for few more points?

Man... that made me think of worlds, and what I played against.
That experience, even without 2.0 coming, would have made me quit the game.
As usual, the people were great, but the gaming experience itself was miserable.

The nice thing is that you get some more repositioning options, but even without moving after Miranda you can still jam her. The nice thing is if you jam her after she moves, you prevent a coordinated TL that round.

Funny thing was that was the list that I shredded at Worlds. I had built my FML variation to be good against the field, but it really gave Ghost-Fenn a bad time.

The extremes were so bad, anf 4/6 games were just raw cancer. (Again, disclaimer - the people were awesome. I miss the people of x-wing a whole lot. Thank god for 2.0).

Yeah I only ran into one jerk at Worlds. Everyone else was pretty cool, even though Sim and Rasta were intense (but it was an elimination game, so it made sense).

Yeah. Basically. He's then even better against Miranda if you have initiative, and extremely strong against Dash. He's not even a support ship, he's a straight up combat ship that happens to carry the points you used to upgrade another ship. Think a triple aces list where one of thecaces is a Reaper.
So, 20 point FO's with Optics and Crack. How do I best use them? Just try to engage all at once with Focus+Lock and delete stuff?

Good luck. That list topped my "Hardest to play". Pray to whatever deity you acknowledge and hope you don't see a Trajectory Nym, Scum Alpha, or bomb heavy list. You could have two alpha'd off the board on the first exchange. Miranda will just run and regen and plink you to death with TLT. Two dice primary and caring about arcs was just painful against stuff that could provide huge spike damage and didn't care about arcs.

Games I won with that list were about a big initial joust followed by eating away at targets with healthy ships while fleeing and tanking with damaged ships.
Nymiranda is absolutely your worst matchup.
Overall, I'm not sure if a block or dispersed formation is better. I'm sure there are right answers depending the opposition, but I haven't played enough to know what those answers are.
