But swarms are good now?

Im guessing a giant pile of jam tokens will just make the occasional Fat Dash players sad as it should be.

there's no way you'll know where that swarm will be, and could shove a PS 1 reaper into it.

Unknowable.

Oh....

I'm actually not sure I understand this on a mechanics level. If you can't clear stress, that's straightforward: you can do a blue maneuver, but you're still stressed at the end. But if I can't remove a Jam token, does that mean that I can't take an action (because you remove the Jam token to cancel the focus/evade/calculate/lock)....? The outcome there would be you can only reposition within R1-2 of the jamming ship, and never gain tokens. Presumably this means to say just that it doesn't get removed at the end of the round, right? ... Right??

The relevant word here is "cannot," I think. That implies that you are not allowed to do something that would remove the Jam token.

When you don't actually read the card, you say stupid things.

I assume it means you can't clear it until you take a Focus/Evade/TL or token action of some kind.

It literally says "during the end phase"... pretty clear that just means the regular end of round removal doesn't happen IMO.

Have we seen any cards that let you take actions or gain tokens in the end phase? In that case it could become ambgious, but I'm not sure we've seen that yet.

Oh thank god. I had a PANIC moment there when I saw "cannot" because that implies that you had a choice about something, whereas obviously you want to remove that SOB as soon as you have the chance.

I can't think of any, and I hope that we can avoid them for a good, long number of waves. In the meantime, I'll be standing by the UP UP UP Wagon for when the devs inevitably fall off for one reason or another.

Did Legolas say if Tie Bombers have a Tie Shuttle Title option in 2.0?

I'm not sure either of these is OK, lmao.

Fear the reaper?

Death troopers seems fine and balanced to me ;)

Actually, Death troopers seem mostly fine in context. In order to use them, the enemy ship needs to be at range 0-1, and stressed. How many ways can you think of to make an enemy stressed now for imperials? Not many, and most of them are crew, so to use Death troopers, you need either two crew carriers of a decimator, and then enough fighters to stress people via Sloane. Otherwise, they stressed themselves knowing what you can do. Overall, I'm not that scared about death troopers. ISB slicer also seems mediocre at best, as it can be stopped simply by taking a non-reposition action and clearing the jam that turn (unless you manage to land multiple jams, but then I have other questions). We can find out Thursday though.

FFG, can I please have a Sloane card that I just put on the table as an obstacle? I swear an invincible Sloane alongside 7 TIEs is fair and balanced.

If nothing else, Death Troopers are a great "you don't want to K-turn here" card.

Exactly. Or, a "If you do K-turn, lose actions for a bit" card. I don't think there is a ship that can effectively keep the opponents stressed for long.

On that note, it was generally frowned upon to "pay for crits" during squad building in 1.0

Kylo disagrees

I like the new Imperial crew options. If only Mara Jade still existed, that would make for a fun decimator.

I am also really excited for my Krayts running shirt.

I suspect there's at least one avid Raclo player that would insist you weren't paying for crits, you were paying for Blinded Blinded Dead.

Shame we don't have any 3+crew carriers for Empire. A Patrol Leader/Deci with Sloane and Death Troopers along with 4 TIEs seems like a real ******* scary list.

Sloane almost makes me want the Imperial Firespray back. Load her in that thing with 5 TIEs and start rocking.

I'll miss the Imperial Firespray generally. But its a price I am more than willing to pay for freedom.

Two Lambdas, one with Sloane + (crew of choice), one with Death Troopers, 4 TIEs? Or if the points allow, Howl/Iden/Wampa?

F to pay respects to imperial firespray
