quiz prockets please, I promise I'm good

supernaturally good even

Don't think so small. Vader.

It also is maybe a for reals no **** use for Punishers. White reload looks good for 1 charge prockets. Deathrain can drop a bomb, free action to Focus, move, then boost linked into Target Lock. Disengage and white reload, them repeat. Are you chasing me? Drop bomb, free Focus. Reveal K-turn and wait with Prockets.

I wonder what the chances are that the Tie Shuttle title goes away and Tie Bombers can take Crew & Ordinance?

Multiple TIE bombers with Seismics and Prockets also seem pretty neat.

Bombardier is a gunner slot. If they can take anything, that seems like something they should be able to take.

They mentioned that there will be both kinds of OP (kit and whatever waves have been released). But yes I would like clarity on this too as I would prefer more events to be able to use the kits.

radio OCX mentioned a lose quote from Frank/Max/Alex that stated something along the lines of only wave 1 would be playable in certain OP events. or at least that was the rough interpretation.

The theory is they may do this for worlds or other high level tournaments.. A very large amount of players that goto OP events will have most of the ships and will want to use them.

OCX? Eww.

Oh my lord. Listening to you guys play a vassal game I can’t see is better than anything else out there. I just had to unsubscribe from that Worst Coast podcast because they make me scream at my phone while I’m driving.

Today’s offense: “Medium bases are like halfway between small and large bases, so I guess that’s one and a quarter bases...?”

yeah. Halfway between is called a quarter. If only there were a word for half of a thing...

back to vassal radio!

Haha, I don't believe you.

Unnamed Squadron (95)
Dash Rendar — YT-2400 36
Lone Wolf 2
Heavy Laser Cannon 7
Outrider 5
Ship Total: 50

Corran Horn — E-Wing 35
Fire-Control System 2
R2-D2 4
Engine Upgrade 4
Ship Total: 45

It barely fits now, and that's with no new outrider title and no luke gunner.

Don't you want to win the most expensive list bounty?

Ah - I’ve heard rumblings of something similar.

i actually think it’s best to make larger events (at least whatever the new regional equivalent is) re-released ships only.

This is because requiring a new player to come in, if they wanted to play more than like 6 ships, they’d have to track down a 1.0 expansion + a conversion kit, all for that one ship (say, yt-2400, since it’s a popular discussion).

Thats neither reasonable nor rational, and if that’s a ‘good’ ship, it’ll effectively be a requirement to compete.

Limiting the competitive pool early makes way more sense for that aspect alone. Old players aren’t going to quit just because they can’t [yet] play dash in a regional yet.

Agreed, it’s also good for balance where you only need to get the conversion kits balance “near enough” and devote more time to getting just the reprints balanced.

I mean depending on which Punishers and Bombers get EPTs, Saturation Salvo's new version seems very solid and a potential reason to care about ships with reload.

Yeah, clusters or concussions with 4 or 3 charges can make high AGI ships pretty sad.

If they planned ahead and the 2400 doesn’t get a Gunner, but retains its crew slot:

Is Leebo with c-3po going to work the way I think it does?

That is, he can guess on every defensive roll he makes, because you spend a calculate token to guess which is while defending, so you get a calculate token back. He’d even have double tokens from 3po’s second part, so he can still modify one die (wouldn’t regain two tokens though).

Entirely off topic, but the krayt running group is in full force now. Come be bad, but hopefully eventually mediocre, at running with us

I just joined up. Hopefully this is what helps me get back into shape for sportsball.

God ****, we had a lot of content in these last couple pages. If I stopped liking everything, it's because I ran out of likes.

I feel sorry for the people that come in here looking for content, but not really- there actually is content.

I can't listen to the other X-wing podcasts now- There's no new content. Them being polite and not being willing to interrupt each other just makes it take longer for the same amount of content. This week's Mynock was particularly painful.

I think in this current environment of leaks and reveals with no meta development that matters, most of the podcasts would be better suited to being a digital newsletter.

New sign:

‘I listened to another podcast that could have been an email’

At least it wasn't Dee improperly using "Operational Art" incorrectly for the 15th time. I mean, I love Mynocks, but that error could be corrected with 15 minutes on Wikipedia.

What are you referring to? I don't recall.

Dee has a habit of describing "Operational Art" as the highest level of conflict, basically Operations > Strategy > Tactics. He uses the term when talking about making squad building decisions and meta analysis. The Operational level was actually used to describe a level between Strategy (how you use your resources and how you determine your aims) and Tactics (how you use your units on the battlefield).

just testing my understanding in an Xwing context. strategy should be the meta analysis and list building, operations is when im across the table assessing their specific build and determine my win condition and tactics is my rock and ship placement?
