****! Abandon Ship! Uh. Expert Handling!

Correct. I'm a pretty casual guy and tend to play casually. In normal play we usually just say we are using the target lock and will verbally declare the reacquiring after the attack. I got into a pretty heated match in a large tournament where an opponent was getting very fussy about making me physically remove the TL's from the play area and then making me verbally declare after the attack that I was reacquiring. I forgot once to say I was reacquiring and asked if I could toss it on there before the start of the next round and he got super triggered. Don't have to worry about that now!

perf. yea I've run into more than one player saying he can redeclare. I kept saying it wasn't right, but he wouldn't budge on the matter.
yea, the new change is nice.

That was also my takeaway. So in 2.0 if Dash wants to BR, he better be *REAL* confident he doesn't hit a rock. With the restricted BR rules you have even less wiggle room now. Live by the rock, die by the rock. The one time that bringing only the biggest rocks comes back to bite you is if somebody brings a bunch of seismic spam. But oddly I'm fine with that death.

As long as people keep thinking that trickshot is the better ept on Dash, there's hope #testpilotblackout

Price anchoring is a thing, they did seem intent on pushing regular updates though?

To elaborate, from what we see:
- there's no cluster mines
- no R3-A2
- limited regen
- No harpoon/TLT
- literally only see 2 turrets: dorsal and ion
- All bombs in system phase (no "adv slamming" people)
- baseline no 360 turret (like I said above, potential luke gunner ban, and we're all back to normal turrets)
- No ability (as seen) to add boost to things
- things have limits
- Lonewolf, 3po, afterburners
- Conner and prox say you can't even add more charges (no reload)
Like, I do think they want a different game, given we only see a limited number of issue cards.
R3-A2 is fine, make it once per turn and it's super fine.

Not even remotely comparable. Dash is throwing 4 dice base. 5 with trickshot. Outrider title negates the defense bonus of the obstacle. 5 dice vs a 3 agility target is huge. Especially if they aren't getting the obstruction bonus and the most evades they can muster up is 3 total. And with Dash, on the next turn he doesn't give a **** if he blows through the obstacle. Blackout sure as **** does and he *really* doesn't want to burn his actions via Advanced Sensors to BR out of the way first before moving.

May I add Jan to the equation please?

Remove it from the game and it's even more fine.

LOL. I seriously considered her as an option when @Brunas was asking for list suggestions.
6 dice of doom. Weeeeeeeeeee!

sure, just give me a list and I'll run that, or someone will. Might make some slight modifications but whatever

or I could have lone wolf and have those dice actually be hits.

consider: the opportunity cost of being able to spin your turret at will is not being able to run one of the three gunners that allow you to shoot twice instead.

Jan Ors with Squad Leader and Tactical Officer. White coordinate a focus or Lock (whichever one Dash didn't take). take engine upgrade too so you have a white boost if you need it.

Ew! Ew! Ew! Get it off! Ew!
Fortunately, my expectation is you won't be able to fit your entire list into 200 points...

Lone wolf takes a charge and only lets you re-roll one dice. It has only one charge. Same distance restriction (0-2) as 1.0. If you are using it on offense then you don't have it for defense. I think the defensive buff of LW is much more valuable than the offensive one. You are better off using some sort of passive action economy or coordinated action to get double mods via TL and Focus.

can't take engine upgrade, doesn't have a red boost action.

Ya everything seems to be pointing towards gunners costing a massive amount of points in comparison to other upgrades. They effectively say “your ship counts as 2 ships in the combat phase if you fly correctly”. Gunner effects were always powerful in 1.0, even when they weren’t at the forefront of the meta. And those didn’t even work if you hit!
30 points may be excessive, but I suspect these will easily surpass the 20 point mark.

sure, point me to another talent that gives me better passive mods and I'll take it.

so:
dash
jan
?

you can possibly give him a rigged cargo chute as well.
Just do this:
Corran: Predator/FCS/R2D2/Afterburner
Dash: Lone Wolf/Luke Gunner/Outrider
That will fit under 200pts easy...

Toughest part here is our uncertainty of the 2400 getting the gunner slot. But with FFG, I guess we should just assume the worst..?

Haha, I don't believe you.
Unnamed Squadron (95)
Dash Rendar — YT-2400 36
Lone Wolf 2
Heavy Laser Cannon 7
Outrider 5
Ship Total: 50
Corran Horn — E-Wing 35
Fire-Control System 2
R2-D2 4
Engine Upgrade 4
Ship Total: 45
It barely fits now, and that's with no new outrider title and no luke gunner.
