Ohhhhhh you mean the tournament that future China has won every year.

@Brunas while Tomax is cheaper than Major Rhymer, that's not because Tomax is worse than Major Rhymer, it was because Rhymer was put at a point cost so bad that they knew Tomax couldn't cost more than him. Although this does show proof they're more likely to cost things appropriately outside of the Initiative of the pilot.

They better release a Xamot Bren (or Nerb) at some point.

I was literally the guy who lost the PTQ final to that guy. I feel like he did a better job with the invite than I ever would have.

oops. sorry. off by one round. He and the other guy split the travel prize/invite in the final. I was the guy he beat in the semi, so literally the last game he played to get that invite.

Thank you for your service.

This is not the turn I was expecting this thread to make. Broken.

RE: the poster

what ever happened to the guys from Sling Paint. that channel just died. It's like Berto tried to keep it going but it just died like a flan in a cupboard.

From what I heard 1.0 killed them.

I was thinking about 2.0 turrets and how even 1.0 mobile arcs can pretty much keep stuff in arc by pointing the mobile arc out the side. It makes me think that Gunner Luke be used 80% of the time to modify dice and 20% of the time to rotate poorly pointed firing arcs.

The difference is 1.0 mobile arcs can create a continuous 180* that super isnt a turret and you can totally get behind it because theres no way thats the board edge. 2.0 turrets are two broken 90* spaces with juicy attack avenues. Im hoping thats enough to slow them down.

All mobile arcs are Asajj nowadays though- They won't be large bases 3 harding forever, and with new turrets, the front arc is a safe place.

Also, if they’re all predictable, you can plan more accordingly.

I can say is we want to live in the following worlds in order of preference

- Where Jousters are too good

- Where Aces are too good

- Where Turrets are too good

- Where bombs/control is too good.

They clearly made Bombs less good- Did they make the other **** less-good enough?

I'm thinking if you're pursuing a turret, 3 hard with the turret pointing inside the turn (Lancer style) pretty much always covers the approaches against it. The turret can then use Luke to switch the facing on the rare instance that it doesn't 3-turn and the pursuit correctly calls the odd move.

So here's a question. Most of those things were problematicly dominant in 1.0. Jousters window was well before many people in here played, and most rage about the concepts that allowed jousting ships to keep up with power creep. Why on earth did any of us stick with 1.0?

Was there ever actually a time besides Whisper that Aces without Palpatine were too good?

Cuz it's what we had. Also, for fighter/ship/dragon combat in a non-too-complex-form, it still seemed to be the top game.

After Autothrusters came out, Soontir Fel was super annoying.

So there was a period of time before Palpatine was released where the Ace of Legend was top tier?

Yeah, though not many played him, but those that did did great with him.

Soontir just got worse when Palp came around.

Deci + Soontir was cream of the crop there for a period of time. That, brobots, and Dash + Corran was pretty much the meta wave 6.

Yeah in wave 6, RAC + soontir was probably the strongest list of the meta

Fat turret plus, brobots, tie swarm, and rebel control were pretty much the pillars then.
