Finally finished last episode. Was in a spot where laughing out loud would have been inappropriate when the “I’m not even sure what part of the matrix they’re seeing” comment was made.

Tears of pain and joy, trying to stay quiet. Pretty sure I’ve been on both sides of that observation.

I flew againt a fairship rebel list for the first time last night and i now fully understand what you guys have been talking about. It just wasnt fun.

I’ve had fun getting beat by it, though I was flying a lot of generic TIE Phantoms and doing a lot of shooting out of arc. There can be some fun hidden in there if you get creative and just roll with it.

It is a tough list though, not taking that away from you. I also have not played with a fortressed FSR2.

The only phantoms on this board were the phantom evades that kept appearing and cancelling my attack dice!

I am not complaing about the player - he was cool. I just hadn’t experienced the loss of control that this squad has. “You must shoot this. Now i dish the damage to that. Now you must attack this again. Now i dish the damage to a different one.” You’re basically against 1 ship with 23 HP and multiple attacks.

There was 1 neat moment when my z95 rolled some ridiculous natties (thanks Duncan!) to live long enough to gets its harpoon off, only to get it evaded by Lowie and some other evade token that i dont remember where it came from.

If only there was some kind of TURRET that could SYNCH my firing to what i have target locked so i could ignore biggs!

That moment when I realized I should still shoot at Biggs even though my 15 dice of missiles can target something other than Biggs.....that was the moment that I started using 2x Ion Cannon/Missile/Bomb Imp Firesprays.

Its incredible how you can throw so much dice and best case Biggs loses his shields.

So instead....I use Ion to fly that Biggs whale in whatever direction I choose.
