Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

So going from a Krayts cast to a Gold Squadron is a system shock. Gold Squad sounds so super wholesome all the sudden. Too bad it’s their fault the game is ruined

I honestly can't handle listening to Gold Squadron podcast. They deliver a high quality cast full of information, but their lack of disagreement and debate is what drives me away. It's literally too wholesome for me.

Dion swearing on the last Krayt episode cracked me up

This is entirely the wrong context, but I agree.

I wish we could have posted the video from that. We seriously broke him. I was 30/70 ashamed/proud.

So If I use damage cards as shields, are they assigned to the ship?

Yes. If you're running a B-Wing or E-Wing, you're dead.

Okay, one more try at the stupid Nym thing.

We have an obstacle that is dropped like a bomb, the cargo chute. Dash can ignore obstacles in the activation phase and when performing actions. If Dengar dunks a chute on Dash, he doesn’t suddenly get a stress when it moves to combat phase.

On regular debris, Dash doesn’t get the effect in combat or planning, even if he is sitting on it. Ergo, overlapping happens only on movement. Suck it Frank.

Also, how can we get Dash with a chute in the combat phase?

Oh, that part's easy. Airen Cracken shoots, then gives an action to a nearby YT-1300 with smuggling compartments.

Asteroids also don't have the same wording as Cluster Mines.

Cluster Mines:

Quote

When a ship's base or maneuver template overlaps a cluster mine token, that token detonates.

Obstacles:

From the Rules Reference:

Quote

When a ship executes a maneuver, if its base or maneuver template overlaps an obstacle token, it executes its maneuver as normal but suffers an effect based on the type of obstacle:

From the FAQ:

Quote

The following section should be added after the third paragraph of the Obstacles entry: "After a ship’s base or maneuver template overlaps an obstacle, and the overlap is not from executing a maneuver, it suffers an effect based on the type of obstacle:

• Asteroid: The ship rolls 1 attack die. On a ? result, it suffers one damage; on a ? result, it suffers one critical damage. While a ship is overlapping an asteroid, it cannot perform any attacks.

• Debris Cloud: The ship receives 1 stress token. Then, the ship rolls 1 attack die. On a ? result, it suffers one critical damage."

When vs. After. Does it matter? If we're in hearthstone, yes, in X-Wing, I don't know.

Assuming a ship is considered to be within its own firing arc, can a Quadjumper tractor beam itself?

Infinitely

That would be interesting. There is potential for a double barrel roll, a cloaked tug has the equivalent of an 8 forward, and Sarco Plank’s ability would be vaguely relevant.

Action: Choose a ship inside your firing arc at Range 1 and assign a tractor beam token to it. If it is a friendly ship, resolve the effect of the tractor beam token as though it were an enemy ship.

You would be able to.

Probably good that he said no, haha

Honestly that tractor beam idea would be really cool.

****. I guess the only thing it would be useful for is acquiring a pseudo-boost and the ability to reposition over obstacles.

I would use it all the time to protect lil green dice orphan aces from time traveling omelette generators.

Imagine Advanced Sensors Kylo being Tractor Beamed by a coordinate Upsilon to essentially decloak each turn.

Well, Spacetug Tractor Array is Quadjumper only so that wouldn't work.

I counter your logical statement with the Lando defense.

Investigation? Pitchforks?

That would imply we care enough to put effort in. Mild curiosity. Pointy sticks at best.

I agree!

Can Chico code a list builder for X-Wing we all need to use to submit lists to all future X-Wing tournaments, and then make it a payed tier membership where you can look at everyone else's lists.
