Well honestly if all the x wings can shoot QuickDraw I deserve to lose that game, and I’m still not convinced 4 x wings can beat 2 silencers, for sure it would be a good game at that point. Id rather sacrifice a ps kill to dodge most the arcs and set up the next turn, which is when you start to see the x wings fall apart a little. I mean a really good player with a lot of practice with 5 x wings could do better tactics but I still feels like the rebel player has to super perform to beat the list. Maybe the ps1 x wings can grant the player enough points to have a super good 4 ship version, I’m more scared of like Poe or Nora and 4 xwings then 5 rookies, at least with the qd and 2 silencers

I've been running Wedge/Norra/Jan for the last 5 months and I can say that 2 silencers has been my scariest match up. I have yet to loose against a QD list however. Tabled the last two QD/OL/Yorr lists I've faced. It's not 4 X-Wings, but it's still a T65 and a hawk haha.
I'm going to give it a spin on table top sim on some rainy days and see how it does against others.

I haven't played the match up yet, but when I've flown 5 rookies, I've generally been able to dictate the engagement between s-foils and FAA. If one is just straight up jousting with the rookies, I'd argue they're doing it wrong. Ideally you have a some jousters, some flankers, for more of a crescent moon approach. This allows for 2-3 of the list be in a pursuit position to maintain mods while the jousters do the obligatory red turnaround maneuvers. There's also the hurt one, assuming there is one alive and hurt, which will either block or put themselves in a situation where if they're being fired at, the rest of your list has a good angle on the shooter. QD isn't fast enough nor maneuverable enough to dictate the engagement.

@Kieransi I'll be there, but I won't be participating in the Continental Championship. It will be my wife and I's first time going to Gencon so we plan to enjoy all of it, not just XWing. I will bring a list to play just in case of 1 or 2 pick up games.
