Yeah, events can be added later... they added a bunch on Sunday, writer's things I had been looking for. I've also looked for 2.0 events and have yet to find any, but that doesn't mean they won't show up later.

So... what is wholesome in 1.0 X-Wing these days anyway? It's probably easier to pull out nutty stuff, right?

Yeah, it definitely has dropped down a bit. Some threads are being locked, some complaints are being consolidated under similar threads, and generally the angst is starting to drop. But there's still a lot of fear and angst of the conversion kits.

I never thought we'd see so much pushback to a $50 kit which has literally everything you need to play the game for an entire faction! It's so generous, and yet... salt!

It's the fear of change. Even many of those complaining have complained about the state of the game, but it was still the game they knew.

It's funny, I met Wil Wheaton @ Calgary Comix Expo a couple of weeks ago. I got him to sign my X-Wing dice. He asked if the community is still covered in a layer of salt.

I suspect some of the salt is actually disguised terror at nerfed turrets and regen.

I mean that - people will have a hard time saying that out loud, and you can save face by saying it's expensive.

The local people I know who aren't fans of the 2.0 update aren't scared, they simply don't see a problem with this current game. Some are keyed in on the "world" meta, some aren't. /shrug

the more casual players that don't see a problem with the meta, if it's because they play fair stuff, won't notice a change other than cleaner game play and new stuff.

The others... well, they'll actually probably see they were worse than they thought. Like Defender players post x7 nerf.
