Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

"Joust" test or something similar against the Terrible Computer AI from Squadron Benchmark.

Lets see how efficient a Meta List can be on Single Player.

Not putting to much thought into the approach here.

6 months for 6 hours of content vs. 1 week for 11 hours of "content", which would you choose?

Listening real-time... I’m unsure? It beats doing my job in silence though... So I guess I’ve made my choice.

While this was recording I was playing vassal badly with a big audience. Lost the game by turn 3, forgot my triggers since I was flying dusty old scum ships, yet people still hung in to watch another hour of pathetic slap fest vs a badly flown ego variant. Are people that bored?

Yes.

Can you eve call ActualKraytKontent Content? I'm not really sure. Also, is this a sign that the Krayts are on hiatus? It seems that is the case...

We were going to end the whole thing with "I guess we're done until something changes" and since it's April 1st (ish) have people wonder if we were serious about it as weeks went by without anything going up, but realized audio ****-posting is way more fun.

It's like playing chicken with a FAQ or product announcement, except we just get to talk about the command and conquer timelines.

I would have been all-in on that, but there was other stuff getting mentioned too, and I didn't hear enough unit barks. A CnC podcast would be worthwhile listening however.

never played it, hope it's as ridiculous as ra2

I'm not sure I'll end up being one of the five. I don't have 11 hours of free time today, and listening to anything sped up gives me horrible flashbacks to my professors' slow, boring EE lectures.

I'm tackling this latest episode the same way as I tackle a really weird, long comic book: flip through the front real quick, skip to the end, and then skip around through the middle to try to find the content. So far I've failed to find any, but I'm going to keep searching. I'm actually really enjoying it! It's like a Krayt Easter egg hunt!

Also, on the topic of RTS games, you guys should play Istrolid. It's like X-Wing, but a completely free multiplayer online RTS and more balanced because you get to build your own ships. And fat turrets get curbstomped by ordnance and Fighter swarms.

I think it is more so, but, it was my entry point to the series. Just know that I'm the person that turtles and builds airbases. Then, they gave me gunships with proton cannons and regen. No AI was safe again.

It's C&C, EVERYONE is just turtling haha. I think when they tried to make it a real multiplayer game with C&C3 they realized their whole playerbase was in it for the campy fun, not serious tryhard

Man I am drawing a total blank on what unit you're referring to.

Its in Uprising. there may or may not be versions for each faction, but only one also has miniguns. Its basically the best V. Infantry, V. Tanks, and V. structures. I'll post a photo when I get a good one made.

Unless, of course, you think I was making an analogy to Miranda. I wasn't, because I don't want to think about that right now.

That's totally fair. I mostly play AI skirmish, so the new units are really nice. BUT it doesn't have as much of a campaign, so there is a reason to avoid it.

But then you don't get aircraft carriers, which are the best artillery piece in the game.

In uprising however, you get the Shogun Head of death (It has a real name, I just can't be bothered to find it) that can float and fly and fires a laser from its mouth.

Jk Simmons as president akerman was inspirational. "While other candidates are out serving special interest, I'm serving the commies a steaming pile of shame with a side order of suck it."

Mt. Rushmore Never Forget....

Is Lieutenant Zofia back in it? She had me reconsidering my national allegiances.

No, they replaced all of them (I think? I never played enough RA2 to remember the advisors.) Because they go back in time to kill Einstein after he goes back in time to kill Hitler.

Also, there are Co-op Campaigns (Actually the entire campaign is Co-op) for maximum KraytKo-opKrazyness

Wait the timeline gets even more convoluted? Best thing ever.

Yes, Yes it does.

Probably not? I would just go all-in and add advanced optics to barrel roll every turn. Or Primed thrusters to do it while stressed. The question is also are you playing for fun or to win? Because at this point, I think playing for fun is the way to go. And what are you pairing it with? Kylo? Vader? Gunboats? Defenders?
