I've been around too long. Seen too much. Watched people advocate for pre-nerf Whisper, pre-nerf Palp. TLT. Harpoon Missiles. Han-Break. Literally *everything* will have some Defenders who'll stand up and say "It's fine. Quite yer whinging git gud."

I think I like Nantex as much as anybody, but the generics better go back up by 3 or more.

They aren’t selling plastic at any volume right now, and it’ll isn’t making anyone /i more /i excited to play.

I was saying this stuff back when Ensnare Nantex had early defenders. They were saying "Oh, well the Ensnare Nantex are countering the aces." They really weren't. They were aces with anti-ace control tools, that also massively defecated on ordinary ships.

The things that make Nantex strong--repositioning in addition to a normal action, a big orange number, resistance to being blocked--are the same things some folks onhere claim to really hate about aces. But Nantex are fine, because... *confuse*

Thonkjousting with passive mods isn't working which usually means X-Wing players have exhausted their supply of counters. Now people have to git gud, find a silver bullet or join the swarm.

Just sitting here reading the reactions to the lowered cost Nantexes and how they're playing out, wondering if their points reduction was done by FFG to demonstrate why FFG hadn't reduced them this far previously.
