He better come with a bid to make him worth more than Poe. I historically love 40 point Rex (mk2 instead of eu), but the Engine is definitely worth something. If you think the PS isn't super important, you can go for the same build on Ryad, be more stress resistant, and get awesome things like 2k+boost. Regardless, the Expertise Defender is really good. Rexler Brath specifically still doesn't use his ability all that often, but he does put the fear of God into people.

The competition for that point range is Vader with a missile or the much hated VI Kylo. Kylo is better in a lot of ways. He's got speed, maneuverability, PS, Autothrusters, and similar action efficiency, but that Evade token lets the Defender fight up close in ways that the Silencer can't, and of course Fenn is a thing.

Has anyone taken a longer look at the options available to 43 pt Kylo?

• The list below comes in at 96 pts so leaves room for Primed or Advanced Optics.
• Is this pt total worth exploring on Kylo or have we 100% decided that the Kylo/Rho/Rho build is the way to go?
• Completely understand that 47 pts introduces a variety of point total win conditions. More pts are better etc. etc.
• Just interested in exploring other options that might actually be good to.

Any thoughts on Kylo Lists without the title & tech?

Im guessing the Inquisitor should just be Palp here...

I played a handful of games with 47 point Kylo backed up by 48 point TIE/D Rexler Brath with the idea that it was a similarly offensive ship as the Gunboats, but it was faster and had control, and left a 5 point bid. Kylo's got a big problem in that he's not great against 4 heavily modified TLT shots each turn, even with Autothrusters.

Right, thats why I have worked my way back around to dropping the Tech/Title just to have a bit of fun.

43 Pts gives space for 3 decent ships basically. Kylo/Inquisitor/Sabacc , Kylo/QD/Nu, Kylo/Yorr/Countdown etc. etc.

There are so many interesting Tier 2 Kylo lists to mess around with at that total.

If making a 43 point Kylo, I'd just bring a fully loaded Blackout- You were probably going to move first anyways.

Very much this. Interesting on defenders with engine - I know people played around with it on ryad, but with push. High PS X7 Defenders with engine move in a way I'm not really familiar with, I'll have to try it sometime. Thanks!
