Advanced plan for fixing X-wing:

Step 1: Get ~160 lackeys

Step 2: Rig regional so some wholesome stuff wins

Step 3: Make it the first regional

Step 4: get everyone to netlist from it.

Boom. Problem solved. Also, If home missiles were 4 points, would you use them or harpoons? And if Advanced Homing missiles were range 2-3 would you use them?

I could definitely see using Homing Missiles over Harpoons. Ignoring the Evade is nice, and some ships don't want to potentially trigger self-damage at R1 later in the game.

You were supposed to be the chosen one @Brunas, you were supposed to bring balance to the meta.

And instead, you crowd source from us internet scrubs.

a just bring Soontir and kylo and REK evrything, Like our overlord , the might Wifuloving "Chris 18 bid for disrespect" Allen

HAs anyone tried Bob&company Vs. Ghost/Fenn? TLT MY 12HP, I dare you! http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!280:245,237,-1,-1:62:33:;279:245,244,24,-1:62:33:;279:245,244,24,-1:62:33:&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=

Or, If you prefer relevant ttacks to bombs, try this variant: http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Rebel Alliance&d=v4!s!280:107,237,-1,-1:62:33:;279:107,-1,-1,212:62:33:;279:107,-1,-1,212:62:33:&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=

Probably not great, but spamming hull and large based turrets mitigates that damage of TLT.

Podcast day is the best day :)

Do most people go into swiss expecting a 50/50 split of Jank vs Meta matchups?

Thats about what I have experienced so far across a handful of major tournaments. I assume most good players just don't even think about the possibility of jank and ignore it like they do bad dice?

Swiss Jank is part of why I still want to believe that you can bring stuff that can joust really well and have a great chance to make cut regardless of the meta. The meta is 100% real, no argument there...its just that the meta feels significantly "less" real in swiss and ALOT more real after or near the cut. Maybe thats changing as the podcast echo chamber's volume reaches its ideal potential. The meta solidifies the further you go at tournaments. I'm pretty sure some of this is the main reason why I have found I can reliably get to 4 wins without a huge amt of effort and then typically hit a brick wall in the form of a much more experienced/thoughtful player or a much better list or a combination of the two.

Chris cut me off before I could mention gunner for 4

We built a double tact wook, gunner strezra build locally. After making the cut in the regional, my friend walked up to me and said 'this is the wrong answer, but how do I get more stress?'

Things in Missouri:

The St. Louis Arch, a few professional sports teams, a lot of rivers, lax gun laws, meth, a governor who used to be a Navy SEAL and is maybe also a scumbag, a really good free zoo, the home of Mark Twain, @Kelvan, and me.

This is not an exhaustive list.

Okay, I’m back in since it’s the home of @Biophysical, but let’s not harp on the fact @Kelvan is there - let’s not ruin this advancement.

That's KC (f)Regional winner Kelvan to you.

And Travis you would love living near me. We would be BFFs.

We're on opposite sides of the state.

Kansas City is unquestionably the best city in the state and not just because of me.

Missouri residents normally go unnoticed because they're all busy upholding the sacred unwritten rules of baseball.

There is so much to be learned from Starcraft 2.

The patchzergs in Xwing jump around wildly between ships and lists and factions, and much faster, too. The only consistent similarity is that of high variance ships (mostly imperial, but not only) with Terran micro.

(faction balance is not one of them though, just as an aside. That will be my „furthermore, carthage must be destroyed“)

Also, you can Boba a TLT off before it shoots (Presuming you can get the damage through, which you might not be able to, which is sad. http://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f=Scum and Villainy&d=v4!s!256:170,120,126,243,-1,-1,-1:-1:25:;256:170,-1,126,243,177,-1,-1:-1:25:;256:170,-1,126,243,-1,-1,-1:-1:25:&sn=Unnamed Squadron&obs=

I mentioned something similar, might be in this thread, but I had Deadeye on all 3 Loks. Sensor Jammer is real and you'll probably need that extra hit for the 2 Loks that aren't being Fenn'ed. I'm also thinking that the non-Boba ones should have autoblaster turrets instead of EM, just in case people try to bring aces out again.

Sadly, this is all head sim'ed because I don't want to inflict that on my son and he refuses to fly FennGhost anyways. He's still insisting on arced ships because he prefers fun to winning (his words).

We have a "no top meta" tournament this weekend, but Nationals prep in early March is when I'll bring whatever I think will be the harshest practice for our players who are making the trek to Toronto for Nationals or back to Montreal the week after for their second regional this year. They never had one before, which sucks for a large city, but two of them two months apart is ridiculous.

Having lived in both, it's hard for me to say. Both have really good food. St. Louis has better Italian food, KC has barbeque and Mexican (although in the past decade in STL there has been a number of Memphis influenced barbeque places that have cropped up and are awfully good, this is notable, and not the rule, though). Both have a sports team that can't win in the playoffs. Both have to politely remain silent when they're reminded that Springfield and Branson share a state with them.

St. Louis feels a bit more compact, with a more definite overall unifying culture than KC. It's a lot older, and feels older. This doesn't really push it one way or another, though.

It's funny that Brunas likes these comments as if he has a passing knowledge of the Midwest or baseball.

As I theorized earlier, Brunas likes everything. Not just the Comments, but the comwoments and comchildrents too.

I'm pretty sure @Brunas thinks the Midwest is defined as anyone who can hear my voice with the windows closed.

@Brunas I wanted to edit the post in the ocx thread into something you would never like after you've liked it. But I realized that every possibility I could think of was something you'd like anyway, get me banned, or both. I lost this one and you didn't even know we're playing.

Well it's a fairly easy comparison. STL is the GOD DAMNED DEVIL. What's worse is the largest concentration of Cardinal fans are there.

Totes on Springfield and Branson.... We pretend they aren't real.
