I agree with you on both counts. Despite some measure of success, however, very few people were convinced that Defenders were worth anything before the titles showed up.

I think Defenders were better, relatively, just before the titles came out than they are now. Vets hit just about when Jumpmasters did, and there was a huge ballooning of power creep.

Relative to the top lists, definitely. But they were also closer to the average then. The power delta in this game right now is absurd.

Yes, and the only downside (cost) is mitigated when you are spending all of your points on two ships anyway, and mitigated even more when you get two attacks with said ships.

He at least top 8ed the Atlanta regional last weekend, I’m pretty sure. Barons have him still on Sensor cluster Quickdraw?

Speaking of, when I try to run optics Quickdraw sometimes I have the focus already, and the FCS target lock, and then I choose the right move and don’t want to barrel roll. Do you just pass the action? It feels so wrong. Outside of the first pass, I’m not super sold on optics outside of silencers.

Optics on alpha-striking QD is the right call. Otherwise I'm still getting more use from Pattern Analyzer.

Correct.

I know ill get a mountain of disagrees but I think people drastically underestimate how good Primed Thrusters can be on Quickdraw.

I agree with both of you, if I have two points to give then pattern analyzer, if one point the. Primed, QuickDraws dial just becomes amazing when the color of the move is less impactful

I always tell people they should buy acrylic templates and rulers because the cardboard ones warp and wear down over time, but i will never understand buying everything else. "Oh man what were you flying when you got those top 4 templates?"

"Oh I paid $150 for them"

If the official stuff has a look you really like, sure go for it, I know some people liked the vader themed system open templates and the orange ones from a few years back look rebely, so i don't judge too hard. I just don't understand .

@catachanninja yeah I have some local guys that will buy top ___ promo dice, templates, etc. and I never understood it. I've always wanted to earn those.

Also I know you brought Rey with old title and I believe C-3PO to Chicago, have you tried that out any further? Maybe with Lowhhrick? I'm looking at that list as a viable option for this current meta.

When I was drifting in an out of concousness on an airplane lowrick with kanan ptl and either engine or tactician thrusters came to me. I haven't done a ton of theory crafting for the game lately, thinking about it pissed me off, but rey is still on my list of things I'm thinking about.

I’m lucky. The ugly stuff only appears when I travel to a big event. My meta is stuff like TIE Punishers, ARCs and B-wings.

And people wonder why I fly weird... Hunting for a Sabine TIE Fighter list to fight back...

Well that's not 100% true.

For instance, the Boba-themed system open templates are a bit narrower than the standard ones. They let you put a little more "slip" into your movement, which could mean the difference between arc and not

Or better yet, remember the acrylic bombs from a few years ago? Those definitely didn't function the same.

I'm with you. I kept the first set of dice and templates I won, the cheap alt arts of ships I actually use, and have largely given away the rest.

I've kept alt-arts of ships athat I actually fly and acrylic stuff I can actually use, but for the rest I either give to new players, or recently- Mailing to Peru.

I did win a Spot Gloss Miranda recently, but that went straight to Ebay. As a follow up, mine sold for $120, but Ebay history has it as going for over $200 in the past. Why are people paying that much for a small plastic square?

I'll make reasonable trades for AA's of stuff I like, particularly pilots, but won't pay cash. Acrylics....uh...I'll take tokens if people give them to me. Won't trade for them. Wouldn't take templates/range rulers/dice even if given to me...I'd wanna earn those.
