Carolina Krayts is the best X-Wing podcast

By SaltMaster 5000, in X-Wing

3 probably makes them playable, six would push them to the top.

Edit: new page, no context. Y’all don’t deserve it anyway.

Correkt.

I think by the time you get to 6, you're good. 4 Rookie Pilots with endless Harpoons is absolutely terrifying. Even option 1 or 2 would make me seriously consider Rookie Pilot spam as my next tournament build.

Edit: I win, because I have even less context.

Being """""""""""""""""real""""""""""""""" about T-65s for a moment: what would it take to make them super good and almost an auto-include without making them too good:

So, from 1-11 what would make the X-wing great?

I am Quoting myself for context. Not any other reason. None at all....

When someone finally wins a tournament with only one ship and a bid of 10 points or more, maybe the t65s will finally get a title.... Or the apocalypse will happen....or 2.0 will come out. Whatever.

Behold! The ultimate memery! FFG, Bucknife said that 2.0 would be out by now. Get it together!

No offense to Alaska, but beating imperial Boba in an 8 man tournament is probably not quite big enough of a splash.

Old Teroch never forget.

Doug Peterson didn't spend half his career backing up Brett Favre to not learn disrespect.

Heh, that made me smile. Thanks

@atkrull I dunno if you have a thread, I like this one. Intro music, hour and a half of silence, yub nub? Giving the Krayts a run for their content money.

I just assumed it was a Tie Silencer meta joke.

Trying to top the Krayts in their own thread? TRAITOR!

I do. I'm not a "run out the clock" sort of guy if i can help it.

I should clarify. My goal is always to destroy the opposing squad, and I want ships that will bring me closer to that goal, but I'll run if I have to. I'm not throwing a game away to avoid going to time.

I‘m so happy that this thread exists

This is pretty much me too. It's why I prefer ships like Vader and Quickdraw to Soontir, and why I hate any sort of regen. I like to play very aggressively, but when there's just a few mins left on the clock and Vader is worth more than whatever you have left, I'm not going to put him in unnecessary danger.

A mistake I know I still make. I'm getting better, but it's fighting instinct to battle it out.

hahaha yeah they keep threatening to do a podcast of nothing but The Zack Matthews screaming Krayts on Top.... that was us waiting for it.. nothing but silence :)

But seriously Montana just screwed up and its fixed now.... enjoy!

Because of the success of my last what if... How do you make TIE fighters valuable again? Clearly there are many problems with simple things because, academy pilots can become crazy, but what about "you cannot be destroyed while there are two or more friendly TIE fighters of equal or higher PS within range one with one or more hull points remaining." Is that too good, not enough, or just right? Would you play X-wing if this was a card or, even just a general game rule (Make it same ship then, and maybe only have it apply if there are a total of 5+ ships in your list)? Seems fun...

So, basically, it's a little like Fel's Wrath, right? Except that they actually can't be destroyed until your opponent destroys the other TIEs too. Because you can still be dealt damage cards equal to your hull without being destroyed. So I could have a TIE with five or six damage cards just happily flying around as long as it's part of a swarm? I like it.

Correct, but you never get removed until your buddies are too. It would lead to some interesting decisions and stuff.

Rumor has it that video from Atlanta might be available soon?

After I seeing this gif I decided I want to actually play a couple casual Han Rebel lists.
