Why am I replying to a topic 7 years after the fact? Another game I enjoy is being transferred from FFG to another publisher under Asmodee, much like War of the Ring prior to its 2nd edition and expansions. I'm checking to see if Forums can still be interacted with when the IP is "dead" and archived.

The discussion would be interesting about what we can and can't pull out from the events. Eg I think it is reasonable to say something doing well despite Spamtex is likely going to do well without it. Or something entirely missing does not have to be bad.

Unfortunately it's not a discussion we can have here, and not one we can have now. And that's sad. But we are having it elsewhere anyway, so it's more that this thread (like the rest of the forums and reddit) is now also out of the loop.

e: so the data will be used, and it will be used to draw conclusions. The opportunity for people in this thread was to add an opinion on how it could and how it shouldn't be used. Dismissing it entirely though for what I see as very biased reasons is not on the menu.

On a calmer tone: why do you say online/covid season had little to no data? In the last 2-3 months we had 5 tournaments with from 130 to 265 players and 1 small of 55 played live.

How often did we had such a density of data? And those are completly fullfilled events too!

Then if you are only talking about post nantex nerf I agree, we don't have data.

We should also probably start to talk about how faster a meta evolves and it's solved when a game moving from hundreds of small meta bubbles that on average only met once or twice per season to a worldwide more unified field like the one provided by the online gsp events. People here liked to compare xwing to MtG in the past, this is something that happened with Magic Arena for example

Yeah, nothing but positive interactions with Davy and always felt like he had an intuitive understanding of the systems. Also, getting canned with no notice is BS. Probably wasn't anything AMG could do about it, but still dampens my enthusiasm for what direction they could take things.

Every day I come by this thread and I check all the posts. And we hang out and we have a few yells and ad hominems, and it's great. You know what the best part of my day is? It's for about 10 seconds from when I wake up to when I unlock my phone. Because I think maybe I'll open my computer and I'll check the forum and this won't be there. No goodbye, no see you later, no nothin'. Just gone. I don't know much, but I know that.

Looks like the new Boba build is new Slave 1 + Han gunner.

Liking the points changes overall, especially to stuff like ordnance. 2 point ion missiles, 5 point proton rockets, 4 point ion torps, 7 point plasma torps. Also 2 point thread tracers.

How long until we get PDF lists though? Using the official squad builder is clunky...

Zam Wessel crew for 4 looks like a bargain. Going to have a lot of fun with that one. Lando down to 6 makes LandoHan happier.

Eta Anakin is DarkSide, so you can meme more with ol' Palp or a late Republic/Early Empire post Order 66 Great Purge thematic list. The fact that you can R7A7 + Autoblasters to deal damage even when depleted and tokening up for defense against something else is nothing short of pure disgustingness. Fortunately, Outmaneuver doesn't work on the 3 dice bullseye attack, but the combo of Force + Talent is concerningly powerful. I suppose it's balanced by the flimsiness of the chassis without...it has a mod slot?!

They made the Target Lock on ETA purple.
