Does that mean that once turn 3 comes round, you can yeet those 5 dice for as long as you live and point at something far away?

Even then, kinda fine. Kill me please signs are ok on not unchaseable things.

There was a patch recently. Was updated to Bullseye Only so any range.

Ah, I see.

Bullseyes are awesome, but I think I prefer the R3 only. Without actually thinking about it much.... There is much complication once I start pondering how to land, support and maintain each version.

When you joust someone that also has a beam cannon.

  • 2 Charges
  • [Range 3?] Bullseye Only
  • Focus to Fire
  • At the start of the engagement phase you may flip one charge.
  • If all of your charges are inactive you must yeet 5 dice
  • After firing gain 1 ion token
  • Requires Device & Torpedo

Hmm...

To me, I think the most important thing is that you yeet the dice. Can't just roll them or toss them. You've got to truly yeet them for with all yolos. Every. Single. Yolo.

I had a thought.

One die. If it's a hit, you get to yeet another. Lather, rinse, re-yeet. Keep yeeting up to a total of 6 dice. That seems like the spirit of BRRRRRTTT!!! to me.

Let's see on a technical wording. "If all your results are hits or crits and have fewer than 6 dice, you may roll 1 additional die. This can be done any number of times." That'd interact in a nifty way with dice mods, too.

Should probably be 3 ion tokens, so that a large-base BRRRRRTTT gets the penalty, too.

YEET v BRRRRTTTTT. Battle of the YOLOs has begun.

Onto jousting. Most YOLO Ben's joust with evade Holo's now and then, so he's flying as Solo's never again.

Brrrrrt-cimator

Brrrrrt-spray

Bobbbrrrrrtt Fett will need attention.

He always spoils everyone's fun.

I loves me some exploding dice mechanics; it's one of my favorite aspects of the Savage Worlds RPG (that, and the Wild Die). 😎

This would be wild for Sunny Bounder. If adding a result means adding a die, she could get 7 hit/crits. If it just means to add a result to the pool with adding a die... if you rolled the same result for all six dice, She would have 12 hit or crit results.

At the very least, if she ever rolls a hit or crit result on the first attack, it's double that. And I'm fine with this. Sunny Bounder meta.

Results = dice. Hard cap at 6, sadly.

Well, ideally the "fewer than 6 dice" wording on the card would keep it from getting to 12, but it'd be a simple fix to go into the Rules Reference to tweak things, and along with having a hard-cap on dice rolled, add a hard-cap on dice-in-pool.

I just don't recall off the top of my head whether this is a cap on the initial roll, or a cap on the total pool size. Might already be fine.

I'm quite fine with a note in the RR that makes Sunny exempt from caps.

^^^^^ This! No one puts Sunny in the Cap corner.

Adding results (what Sunny does) and re-rolls (which can happen to a result Sunny adds) aren't rolling dice (as they just clarified for re-rolls this RR version). RAW the 6 dice cap only applies to the attack or defense roll (page 5 if you want to double check me). SUNNY WINS!!! :D

DICE MODIFICATION Players can modify dice by spending various tokens and by resolving abilities. Dice can be modified in the following ways: • Add: To add a die result, place an unused die displaying the result next to the rolled dice. A die added in this way is treated as a normal die for all purposes and can be modified and canceled. • Change: To change a die result, rotate the die so that its faceup side displays the new result. • Reroll: To reroll a die result, pick up the die and roll it again. • Spend: To spend a result, remove the die from the dice pool. (pg.9)

No U. Sunny loses.

The check on number of dice only happens during the original roll.

"Roll Attack Dice: The attacking player determines the number
of attack dice to roll. Starting with the attack value, modifiers that
increase or decrease the number of attack dice (such as range bonus
and other effects) are applied. Next, if any minimum or maximum
number of dice has been set, that limit is applied. There is always a
minimum of 0 and a maximum of 6. Then they roll that many dice."

"Roll Defense Dice: The defending player determines a number of
defense dice to roll. Starting with the defender’s agility value, modifiers
that increase or decrease the number of defense dice (such as range
bonus, whether the attack is being obstructed by an obstacle, and
other effects) are applied. Next, if any minimum or maximum number
of dice has been set, that limit is applied. There is always a minimum
of 0 and a maximum of 6. Then they roll that many dice."

Sunny happens after dice are rolled or rerolled.

Did I see some Krayts playing Squadrons today, taking down Stache Squadron? They were on this Operation Ace tournament stream for that game, at least part of it.

probably. Chris has turned into a no life squadrons player (which tbh is the dream)

Possibly the worst definitions of archetypes of all time I guess.

  • Double Ace: Two Ships Only (i.e. Dash+, Boba+, Vader+, 2x Falcon, etc. )
  • Trip Ace: Three Ships mostly names (i.e. trench run equivalents, Turret "aces" like Rey+2, Token Turtles, etc. )
  • Swarm: 6 or more ships except sometimes 5 ships for some reason
  • Ace + Squad: Named Pilot + Gang of 3-4 things ( could include more names, 5 RZ2A goes here I guess )
  • Beef: Chonk typically 5ish ship (Wooks, BBBB+, YYYY+, 4 Stars etc. )
  • Jank: Is obviously bad or contains E-Wing, Starfort, Mid Init Scum, or is a random Resistance/FO experiment. Often 4 ship mid init names.

I have no idea what any of this means but I am willing to jump to conclusions.

Based on the worlds worst archetype definitions 71% of lists with 4 wins or more are not swarms.

I'm kinda interested in X-Wing players' opinions on winrates, in general... what % of games do you think a good player should be expected to win?

Are spamtex counted as swarms? Can you do this with them on their own category?

Nice work anyway
