Right now, it’s like I have tens or hundreds of kids who went to college and never come back to visit.
Also, I don’t recall a lot of my 20s, so it’s possible I DO have tens or hundreds of kids in college.

I came back to visit though!

We sometimes meet halfway. Literally, as Evansville is about equidistant from us
How wrong am I for being spooked by new cannon? 3 die attack with the potential to get rerolls and no range bonus seems uhhhhhhhhh spook. HMP seems neat, and spook.

Spewky ghost house. Am I'm the big stoopid for seeing it as good for a K2SO B? Or is it just a Brobot staple?
I like the concussion bomb, even if Nym is a bit pricey. Once you pop, you can't stop! Now we need a bomber with mandatory reload for near-0 control over his bowels.

Better keep that K2SO carrier alive!
There is much fear in me about this wave.

At least gunboats can have only 1 cannon slot. If they gave them 2, we could end up with...good cannon boats? SLAM and shoot 3 dice or park and passives with the option for Adv. Torps or range bonus denial guns.
First, I'm thankful that synched cannons takes up 2 slots so it only goes on dedicated cannon ships and can't be spammed too easily. It looks like it'll be a nice addition to the HMP, Brute, and Iggies. It seems very similar to barrage rockets at 8, both give a 3 die attack that denies the range bonus, barrage has the potential to reroll but requires a focus, while synched cannons are always on but require the calculate to deny the range bonus. 8 points seems fair for the cannon.

The point isn't to not joust. The point is to joust better.

I'm a bit spooked. Double-slot does keep it off a lot of ships like the Resistance Transport, Gunboat, and Scyk, but Aggressors and B-Wings now have 3-dice attacks for their cannon tricks. TIE Heavyies are likely to be able to use this for a 3-dice turret at all ranges, and will often be able to get Calculate tokens from their linked actions.

The more I look at it the more I think chasing B-wing bonus attacks with it will be silly, especially if it costs more than Ion, but this is in part because while B-wing bonus attacks are neat they don't seem great. IG-88 might be better as it's self-contained and provides mods.
Conc bombs still a bit maybe spooky, but I've moved to maybe neat on them.

I love the "once you pop, you can't stop" aspect, but really wish they weren't doing damage under shields and maybe flipping it face up. That part seems like 1e bullshirt to me.

yeah, that's the spook bit but I too enjoy the once you pop you can't stop (unless you reload right away [oh **** more spook now]) While I get wanting to be able to hit dodgier targets dealing a damage card is a bit much.

There is curious potential to stop after dropping two. If you sideslip to where a bomb would fall off of the board and reload, the next turn the bomb could not drop, then you could reload again. It's very niche, but possible.

Don't disagree on the theory, it's the execution which turns my single-player headsim into a multiplayer game. Like, that's when a screenshot can turn into an example of what not to do, because it often feels like a 50/50 commit at some point which either seems brilliant or super dumb and OMGWTF...I'm dead.

Sure but its not like the nantex are unique in being able to pivot in a dime. They're slightly better than ties or droids if they're willing to tractor.

Droids and Ties can't point forward, all in one place and hedge their bets with a turret if they guess wrong.
Spook is a new term?
Damage under shields that crits unless you strain certainly seems spook.
Still, all the HMPs spooking their fragile mates, as they get used to the diarrhetic nature, should be fun.
But yes, much spook on the radar. For me, much to do with rerolls and strain EVERYWHERE.
However, I have a slight inkling that much of the spookiness dissipates when you have to actually pay points and start coordinating the various dials and activations.
Although that's also the point where you start getting surprisingly horrible things that spooked nobody.

TIE/sf can. The Init 3 ones with a talent cost... checks notes... 34 points.
Nantex pricing is so forked.

Slightly? Since when did those ships have 180* of firing arc? Yes, I'm counting bullseye as a full front because if you know what you're doing with a block, the entire fore section of your wing gains massive area denial.

"But it has no shields and a bad reposition at I4 which it can barely utilize!"

If you want to talk turrets we can talk turrets, but that's clearly not what I was talking.
I was talking maneuverablity. Specifically their ability to pivot.
The nantex are quite simply comparable to vultures in being able to turn on a dime.
