Well, as a contributor to seven ship count and scum I can vouch that feedback array spam is not good enough, even when freighters getting cheaper gives room for informant.

Dropped after three @1-2, games decided by 54, 7, and 13 points respectively. It makes a fun close game, but that probably isn’t the point of a big tournament?

With some generics mixed in

Because Zizi is more wholesome than 3 red Lulo, I guess.

And cheaper.

as easily the most interesting and wholesome of the RZ2s, it's a shame Lulo released at 38pts during a time when, for instance, an generic tie advanced was 41pts and a generic jumpmaster was 52...

I don't know how he's getting complete destruction with that list. I guess they keep trying to kill Finn?

Well, okay.

Bare-bones good undercosted ships/abilities, here.

I would usually call efficiency the best math of HP, but here were talking about 3 bare-bones and still amazing components +1 optimized piece of junk pod.

Just heroic on Zizi?

Yeah. No big trick here.

Just efficient/good/undercosted vanilla pilots.

He just won again with complete destruction. Baffled.

Ow. Only 2 lists in the top 21 despite 45 lists hitting the "table" to start. Not good.

Whats so great about 6 nantex? Im obviously missing something. Seems like a list that should be getting chewed up.

Maybe you have to play against it to really understand how they're doing it, I think. Or maybe even watch that round 1 game where Grievous is traded for a shield then the starvipers get put in Nantex ****. They're stupid cheap, can block all day, can't be (fully) blocked and are higher init than I1 and I2 spam. I just finished a game against 5 and an infiltrator and despite basically one-shotting a nantex each round, it's hard to avoid all the return fire.

It's a trap, you said?

idk having played against nantex swarm and watched it played a couple times, I'm not impressed.

honestly ensnareless nantex are just kinda neat and wholesome IMO

A cutrate over 50% and a winrate of 69% say no. But it's just one event so far. Definitely on the watchlist though.

I count 304/522 games that ended 200-X by control-f "200" on the event log. I think all games should be logged there, so that should work? That means 42% went to time in some way, whether there was any completion or not is difficult to tell.

40/58 (69%) in round 6, 46/71 (65%) in round 5, 54/86 (63%) in round 4, and the other 164 in rounds 1-3. I wonder why the number of completed games is increasing.

They're not that good.

It helps to be a good player, and to hit mostly bad lists, though. It also helps to get to move last with your i4s in most games.

Don't think the game where fortressing starvipers were made to engage by judge intervention is a good benchmark

These were the matchups of the 6-0 6 nantex player.

Mirror
3k
rex 2x sigmas
echo 4x scimitar
dengar 4x cartels
3x stalgas greivous

My guess is he didn't hit a real aces list besides Rex and got to be the ace all day. Seems like a good strategy. Can get the other two players matchups later though if I recall the 3 lists hit a total of 4 or so i5+ Ace lists on the day.

Keep in mind only 2 players brought Vader Soontir GI and one of them brought Marksmanship. This tournament was as much a meme as Vassal League. Still obviously the Nantex are useful.

If its a decent list my only reaction is thats cool.

Once again the first new low or mid init higher ship count list that shows up freaks people out while we just sit around clapping like dolphins every time a Force User does well.

Also respect to BBBBZeb guy. That list is dope.

70% of players in this event flew four ships or fewer!

71%

Then make a testable claim @Boom Owl and @svelok: how well does Spamtex have to do at these events for you to say that they are too cheap now?

Currently we're at a 50% cutrate and 69% winrate. That's apparently not yet dolphin territory. When is it?
