But @Brunas @Boom Owl @Kyle Ren and I are FO. And as fun as Upsilon's are, FO are outclassed in extended but quite formidable in HS. It's part of that Hyperspace Tracking Data!

I miss Quickdraw.

well we've got supernatural Kylo but that's a dark road that only ends in sadness and I'd rather not go there

I seldom miss QD. She usually doesn't live past the initial engagement. 😉

Alright, I am officially an Extended Player now.

Boomer Ani is Vader. Millennial Ani is 7B. Zoomer Ani is N-1.

OK, BoomOwl.

So I know that if the different stages of Anakin were teleported to this day in reality, that redeemed Anakin would be a Gen X by age, but take a look at the original ROTJ ending. 100% Boomer

Also, add the Defender to the how dare you list. Looks sexy, and heavily rewards the blocking game.

To avoid a double post: What's the name for Guri Fenn? Please tell me it's The Wolf and the Swallow.

i'm insulted to be labelled a faction player but i haven't had the motivation to try and have been memeing FO exclusively, so i guess this is self rekt

For me... 4-LOM, Fenn, Sol Sixxa, probably. Or something like 4-LOM, 2 marauders, 2 ion scyks.

playing a game with Rey right now and it is a bit 1.0 bull I think. If you play against a newer player who doesn't know the interactions...

Reveal a white 2 hard, reduce it to blue with leia, move over the debris, get a stress, remove the stress with korr sella, then boost, then defend the shot, cancel a blank to get a lock, attack with 4 dice, add a blank, reroll blanks with lock, turn a focus with force, turn a blank with force.

There is so much to do and follow!

Just bring more Scyks. The more dangerous control arcs you can bring at R3 the harder the aces find it. They can avoid R1 of 4-LOM, and a Kihraxz at R3 is just a damage card if something sneaks through, while a tractor Scyk at R3 is a massive threat. Plus it's 2 more bases for blocking. 2 Tractor Scyks, 3 Ion Scyks, 2 naked Scyks (or 1 Autoblaster Scyk, 1 Mining TIE).

Agreed.

I don't think she's overpowered or too good, but she definitely plays like a 1st Ed ship. I don't know it's a bad thing to have at least some of that in the game, though? Variety is the spice of life.

@gennataos by the way, remember when you asked why I said that Resistance requires a better understanding of the rules? I think that's an example. An opponent that does not already know has to blindly accept a lot of things, or you have to take a long time to show all the rules.

It's something I enjoy myself. I played 4 Fangs at an event in October 2018, fresh 2e, and it was just a bit boring for me. Your sloane swarm at least requires a good focus on maneuvers and blocks, and droid swarms also have this little extra with struts and networked calculation.

Yep. And I used to run her in the before-times with non-absurd wingmen: Heroic/Optics Red Vets.

Just make sure you don't accidentally cheat like I did and use Korr Sella when you get blocked. :(

I disagree

X-Wing is fun because there is a bit more than just setting the dial. There can be too much "more", obviously. But I wouldn't want to play 4Fangs vs 5X vs 8 TIEs all day. #EnlightenedCentrism because the ideal/truth lies rarely at the extreme ends

Yeah, I usually talk through what I'm doing as I do it and would sometimes find myself stumbling over everything happening while it's happening with Rey. I didn't like playing that against newer folks because even if I wasn't winning, it still could present an air of me trying to get something over on them. Korr and stress felt dumb, boosting while super stressed, slooping while super stressed, Stealth Device plus Finn die on defense, acquiring locks on offense and defense with Rose on the same turn, etc.

Just because we can't hear it or we're not listening doesn't mean the echo chamber isn't still reverberating.

I've played similar build occasionally ever since @gennataos flagged it in a post here back in December (linked so nobody has to scroll up - we may all disagree on hyperspace vs extended but in these uncertain times, we shall remain united and steadfast in our stance against scrolling up, the true and greatest enemy).

The interactions are a bit much and I don't think I'd trust myself to play it for a whole Swiss and not start forgetting triggers by round 5 or 6. Or 2.

I guess the thing that makes it feel different to 1e to me is that 1e combos often also had no weaknesses to exploit or had strengths that were so strong as to be impervious to some things. If this is 1e, this Rey would likely also be able to get up to PS10 and would be accompanied by something like Miranda.

I really enjoy flying this Rey, incidentally. Am I the baddie? 😅
