Quick question: are other Leia carriers besides Cova viable? Been toying with BB8 Poe on Vassal for the fun of it, but I don't like so much of a squad being put into a limited trick. I like BB8 as a panic button, but those 8 pt should probably serve getting bigger guns, right?

I only dabbled in Leia usage, so I couldn't really say. I kind of loathe the transport and pods and Korr/title does for the Falcon what Leia does, but cheaper and with more versatility. I only ever played BB-8 Poe because of theme...any success I had with it likely had more to do with broken-Composure Snap and a really cheap L'ulo than any shenanigans Poe could pull off. I actually found Primed Thrusters to be more of a "wow, that was awesome" trick than BB-8.

I found Leia on a bomber fun . Sit still and keep throwing bombs in front of u

ps- you won't get called on fortressing because it is bad

Bomber doesn't have two crew slots, tho.

Imagine how many dice Cat could throw...

The answer is 7 at range 2-3, or 11 at range 1 with Finn. And assuming your opponent is dumb enough to fly into your front arc.

I have rarely gotten an extra die with Cat - as I said no one complains about me not moving because this is so bad it is almost comical.

Have you tried wanting it more?

Has anyone tried their jank tank game yet? How'd it go?

I played my jank tank list earlier today. It was fun. Turr phennir as the highest init ships on the board is kinda fun

When I see someone post a prequel meme in r/dankmemes : PrequelMemes

Remember when @GreenDragoon told us to keep a low profile about TTS/vassal?

Everybody and their brothers are posting about TTS/Vassal directly at FFG OP on facebook now 😄

First Order is clearly the most fun and interesting 2.0 hyperspace faction besides Rebels.

Why is First Order your favorite faction?

QUESTION VETOED, SPACE NAZI! TIME TO TALK ABOUT REBELS

In all seriousness, the rebels feel like they have so much variety in their toolbox. They have everything from the squirrely little A-Wing all the way to the intimidatingly massive Ghost, and just about literally everything in between. You can run almost any kind of list, and as long as there's a solid basis behind it (e.g. a sense of purpose like "i'm gonna spam selfless and pass damage a bunch) it probably works at least fine. There's also a great sense of theme with so many iconic pilots, and even the lesser-known pilots have a feeling of being an effective squad of seasoned veterans once you put them all together because of the overall "teamwork!" theme of the faction.

Not gonna lie Rebels are actually pretty cool in Hyperspace. Why I said second most fun. And the 2.0 Ghost is legit interesting in its turret less form. Really enjoyed running that thing with like 1 upgrade total. But its band to the meme format so I still dont think about it anymore.

Rz1As are super entertaining and would be very useful if they were ever costed reasonably.

Awhile back I realized I was building and enjoying alot of Luke + Squad lists. It was weird to realize I was a rebel player the entire time.

It just feels like there's always something to try and rarely does it truly suck. Like, what if I want to run Gavin+Marksmanship spam? Probably not top tier, and might get dunked by a true meta-wing list, but won't do terrible at casual night I bet. Luke+squad? There's always some solid options to throw around, and Luke is amazing if a bit expensive for a somewhat tankier x-wing. The Ghost continues to evade me (but none of the attacks that get thrown at it), and I feel like I can't quite find the answer. Do I go cheap with a Dorsal Lothal Rebel for a cheapo hammer? Load out a Hera for super maneuverability? Go all in with Hatin' Kanan? Saw, Magva, or both? There's so many options but I feel like I'd always be better of with two of the cheaper squad-style options that Rebels always seem to excel at.

Weird, 62 always seemed cheap to me. Occasionally Luke will get dunked on by focus fire but its rare enough that it feels like im always trading value for those points.

I used to just put one of Saw or Magva or Passive Sensors on Hera and go. Works pretty gud against alot with a bit of lane set up. Dorsal has some value but I found it worked best just as big angry rebel tavson.

Saw needs to be stapled on any Ghost. It makes the Ghost amaaaaaazing.

Don't get me wrong, Luke has always been good for his points but 62 might be enough that 4-ship is a bit more difficult, and you don't get much more offense for it-I think he's still strong, and with Wedge gone, he could see some real use. As for the ghost, I almost habitually run a turret, but rarely does it see use, so "hera smash!" might just be the right play.

Considering how much 7b Obi Wan and Soontir Fel costs I agree Luke is unplayable Trash.

Well, here's an interesting consideration: Anakin is also 62 base. I know they fulfill different roles, but in comparison and the context of their factions and respective relevant metas (read: Anakin isn't in hyperspace), is one/both of them over/undercosted? Luke is probably fine where he is, but I'm not up to date on Anakin's extended viability so I can't say for sure on him.

I don't do meltdowns, I do very strong, liquifying facepalms. Maybe looks the same, but with very different reasons.

You did however successfully make me post after 9 days, so that's something.
