What is the consensus opinion on Lt 🇫🇷?

I have hade success with him so far but I am pretty sure that is just because I am not used to having a decently modified durable i5 in a Kylo + 4 list. Also has worked well in Holo/Vonreg 🇫🇷 3 Fo lists that feel like better versions of DTs worlds list. Once Kylo is removed I start looking at 6 ship lists with Holo and without 🇫🇷 in favor of more tradition.

Is 🇫🇷 a trap? Is “maybe” the only real answer? Should I just keep testing and answer my own questions? Why isn't Worlds hyperspace format? Is extended a complete game? When will Dash be playable? Is Boba actually bad?

Yeah she is yet to die for me in any game, but what good does that do if I am down by points in the endgame and Zizi cannot push the damage through to swing it back.

That makes a lot of sense and agrees well with @GreenDragoon's observations.

Super weird. There's no obvious place for her in list-building other than super-cagey lists like 5A and Invenniecible. I did notice her inclusion in that list vs @Stay OT Leader's Sloane Swarm, and it's another place where she makes sense. Extended only but perhaps sheds light? In that list, there really isn't any ship that you can damage easily due to crazy defensive-mod-stacking and triple-tapping offense.

Also I notice she doesn't have a listing in Meta-Wing for some reason. Curious how she would fall this early in the season.

I don’t really understand why I’m supposed to like LeHuse aside from his I5.

Kylo Blackout Rush is the wholesome iteration of Triple Aces. And yet, they are delightful, even more than the aesthetic of triple Silencers on the board. You have:

  • 2 I5's, but no I6. The I6 only comes if the opponent turns on the ability of the I2, which could be great or could fizzle due to the crit. That and in most cases, if the I6 does come into play, he's been halved. So technically speaking, 2 I5's + rushing bugger that tries to influence Zwungzwang.
  • 4 pt left over after basic equipping. So either straight up 4 pt bid, optics for Kylo, or Fanatical on Blackout + 2 pt left over. The last option seems strongest, but the main point is that it's a triple ace list with 0 to little bid. *eyes Soontir + Duchess + Grand Inky judgementally* (heck, so long as your trip Imp Aces doesn't include Whisper, you have a a chonker bid, and even then, Whisper has historically cared little for big bids). I fly it on Vassal with Predictive Shot on Kylo just so that the I'll Show You the Dark Side card will spawn, because apparently, not equipping a force power still doesn't spawn the condition and its token.
  • 1 force user + 1 angeried force user when turned fanatical = passive mods are present, but in moderation. As a result, they feel toned-down and a fun interaction with decision trees for both players. 2.5 force < 6 force of many Imp Trip Aces, and a far cry from the 8 force of many Trip Jedi Aces.
  • The pilot abilities are powerful, but hold counterplay potential. "You pot-shot full force Kylo? You hid behind a cloud from one arc without considering Blackout? You really wanted Rush's half points quick? Cool, now I get to do things. My list is only as NPE as you are impatient." In other Trip Ace lists, abilities are there whether you like it or not: Obi will give everyone infinite focus, Duchess has diet Supernat Equipped, Vader has all the actions, Anakin disregards red moves, etc.
  • Has 6 HP apiece on top of good stats, so offers the player the effect of flying 4 HP ships with regen, but also includes the finality of "points gained are points gained."
  • Is Hyperspace Legal

As good as Kylo Holo Vonreg is, I'm considering just maining trip silencers for Hyperspace because they look so nice. It also makes me feel less cancerous for flying Kylo 2U or Kylo Vonreg in extended.

Fite Mii Freighdae starts early, unless you're Australian.

In theory, any cheap TIE/fo "coordinates" a lock to him. Is that great? *shrug* It's not nothing.

In practice, an I5 has an easier time getting the lock than a cheap /fo in the first place. *shrug* It's not much.

If Malarus wasn't so expensive I'd pair the two up. One I5 to go up and target lock and then get hopped up on glitterstim. Then Lt. French uses the lock.

I like LeHuse. I like a 49 point SF with gunner that shoots at I5 and sometimes has double mods. Rivas is already worth his points, and sometimes you can let someone better use his lock.

He combos well with anyone else that can shoot before him that might not spend their lock because they rolled natural paint. Kylo, Holo, Vonreg, and Malarus are all solid choices for wingmen.

Might be a point or two overcosted right now.

The FO version of the DT list is probably the most legit use of non-Kylo wave 6, but in case you want to try something a bit more ace-y, the new Avengers of Frenchiboi, 1-eye comic character, Cortana, and Pizzabox are a pretty lit squad.

Snapshot Zizi. Her ability triggers off snapshot. Give her a focus, now she can lock and boost to range 1, or roll and boost, or just token up with evade. It gives an extra attack in the squad as well for as long as they are not attacking her. Always gives her a front arc attack as well. Keep her annoying. Also, if enemy moves to block her 3 banks or 2 blues, she gets to snapshot and get tokens before being blocked.

Zizi plus heroic, snapshot, adv optics = 52pts.

Make her a little points fortress by getting her to 51+pts. Now she is worth more than two FOs, one fearless skull fang, clt plo, regen ric olie, generic t70 builds, and other meta ships.

If only prockets were hyperspace legal.

I've looked at that. It's interesting, on paper, just don't know how much it would come into play on the table. She can definitely point at stuff more than other A-Wings.

2 dice guns, even with optics, never roll 4 hits. That's the main difference for me.

Impression on Zizi- She's endgame +1. If you have an actual good endgame ship, Zizi will bubble wrap that win for you.

Failing that, she's one of many ~40pt pocket aces that just pester and distort the game state for you.

I quite like Wurms idea on beefing her up into a genuine danger and scoreboard threat. Suggests she has a lot of flexibility, which is always useful in mixed squads.

"notably worse" is contextual, particularly given up time and chance of dying, sir.

What about Snap/Juke? Take the evade from snap, focus on your own, and you have a triple-modded attack all on your own (Focus/AO/Juke)? And then still the evade for defense.

If you're up against I6 it's even better since you get in place and evade, snap/juke them while they're tokenless and grab the focus, then triple-mod attack them afterward?

Still seems silly expensive. Snap Shot is almost always better on Low-I ships anyway.

Reasonable.

So im not 100% sold on Lt Fr either specifically since I started running PT Holo. Either way the ability to mix another i5 thats not a 40 pt FO does have at least some value. The overall lower power level of everything in hyper makes alot of otherwise bad pilots seem fine. Sounds like most players are in "this is bad dont try it other ships have the high ground" mode with Lt Fr.

1st party: It's close enough, given what I want to do.

2nd party: I disagree, because I like 3 die guns.


3rd party: REEE - IT'S NOT THE SAME THING. IT'S NOTABLY worse, which is a clearly defined metric we all understand, and is the only metric relevant to all lists, win conditions, and game states at all times.
