I'm somehow not convinced that the I2 X-Wing will be the absolute benchmark of efficiency, but it does seem like a pretty conveniently simple comparison point, especially in Hyperspace.

There are a lot of quite-potent 40-pt filler ships.

I just beat a Boba/Emon list last night with XXXAA and I feel like I flew horribly. Opponent didn't fly incredibly but he did okay (did 3 damage with a single bomb, etc.) and it wasn't even super close. I still had 4 ships on the board and Boba was on 2 hull with a hull breach and damaged engine when time was called. Also I had a concussion locked onto him and he was beyond range 3 of all my ships.

I really think the viability of many different high-arc-count lists will give 2-ship lists a really hard time unless they have crazy health, mod stacking, or pre-maneuver repositioning tricks. More so in HYPErspace

Maybe Resistance 5s or Scum 6s will be a big problem for I4 lists, but I see most I5-6 lists being Ace and scrubs waaaay more than double/triple ace. In that case a squad of I4s can just kill the scrubs and then team up against the ace (who's probably been running for most of the game...)

Fair point. I wouldn't call either of us very good, but I'm pretty sure he played better than I did. The matchup seemed very slanted. At time, I had lost an A-Wing and half-points on three others, his Fett was on 2 hull with hull breach and damaged engine, and I had him locked with my Concussion missiles. Easily could have put another 4 3-attacks in the next round.

Still, this information is anecdotal at best. Feel free to disregard.

I played a game against Vonreg last night. I shot him 5 times with 3 dice and a focus, and 4 times with 2 dice and a focus. And that was just the times he didn't have defensive mods or range 3. 0 total damage. So according to 100% of my experience, Vonreg cannot be damaged.

I blocked him into an R1 bullesye locked double stressed Ten Numb and found his ability to defend against a pair of 4 dice modified attacks with no tokens was severely lacking, therefore I'll arbitrarily declare him frail and overcosted.

People who have played Rush: how is he? How sorely do you miss the talent that was promised on stream but not in the points? Why should one fly him instead of any of the very neat full mod Silencers, those being all anyone else with an initiative greater than 1?

I've tried Null to scare off Soontir when I did Super Kylo + QD + friend, but all the good players would laugh and take an evade. I just went full blocker with Rivas then, which allowed a deeper bid against Regedi.

I know both firsthand and secondhand the immense value Fanatical has on QD, but what about Proud Tradition if you already have Pattern Analyzer? The hard 1 is a beauty with that tech, and you could even charge true full mods by only a slight setup, hard 1, lock, then proud.

Weird, as I've flown a **** of a lot of Boba/Emon and 4-5 generic ship lists is kinda the best thing for it to face unless you straight joust it. What's changed in the meta that much to affect it?

1) 5x 3-dice attacks

2) Room for Intimidation; Boba Fett hates rolling 1 die on defense because no number of rerolls can save against 3 hits

3) Missiles deny range 3 bonus

4) 26 health behind 2-3 agility takes a good while to eat.

Properly deployed, there's not much you can do against XXXAA other than "straight joust it." A-Wings go in the middle to block + lock, Xs are split on both sides to flank (with boost if necessary).

High ship count can make focus-fire more difficult as each time one gets damaged it can bugger out to take distant potshots and another presents itself as the prime target. Works surprisingly well.

Nonono.

Everyone knows the only way to deploy 5 ships is in a block. It's IMPOSSIBLE to have all ships to have the same target otherwise. Don't be telling people these bad and crazy ideas!

Not to get all nova, but if you split the X's I'm going hard at the spare one and killing it before the others get a chance to get there. Anyway, I'd always back against that list, I may be wrong but 5 kihraxzazksxz never troubled it, nor 4xzeb or Jess3x etc. Guess I'll find out at the MKO next month.

Droids have some options as well at i3. should be double modded and can afford to lose a ship on engagement.

X-Wings are about as fast as Firesprays, and A-Wings are faster. All MUCH faster than Kihraxzes or Attack Shuttles.

If you send Boba hard after one X, I’ll gladly trade him for Emon. If you put them both in that corner, don’t think I’ll rush to engage you on those terms. The one X turns in, the As 1-turn that way and the Xs 3-turn-boost. Not such a big deal anymore. You end up jousting one way or another, like it or not.

At least, that’s the goal.

Good thing about X Wing 2.0. Decisions matter. I have also played a reasonable amount of Bobemon and it's one of those where decisions really matter, very much back to obstacles. In that context, I find this list beats that list to be an interesting discussion, but ultimately ends up with come at me bro.

So no, you don't just beat my Sprays with whatever you like. Fite me.

Oh yeah, I've lost games with it because I got out of position with one of them early via one sub optimal dial (usually Emon) and lost the damage race whilst it was getting into a better spot.

I was genuinely curious at how that 3x2a list beat Boba/Emon easily, as I said before it's usually the type of thing it eats up and couldn't see how hyperspace had changed that.

By the way, why Emon and not Koshka? There are a lot of stressed ships out there. (e: and add 000+rigged chute for some more stress)
