Considering that, it's the new card that's badly designed, the fault isn't with PA, it's with Proud Tradition.

Badly designed? You mean a card that actually has consequences? Sounds like interesting design not brainless easy mode upgrade.

A card that has consequences that can be ignored on existing pilots for the faction it's for.

For Muse and Holo it's free double-mods every turn.

Sure there are a couple of pilots that make that consequence matter almost never, but I still could see it be used outside of those two pilots.

I'm more inclined to think PA is the biggest problem, then maybe Holo (actually, maybe Holo biggest worry), then Muse, then Proud Tradition.

  • Holo is a bit of an issue due to the extreme flexibility and major number of potential complications. Plus Init 5 double repo with 3 red and 3 green dice. I mean, c'mon.
  • Pattern Analyzer, in it's worse cases, is a tonne of bonus actions that can ignore stuff like flying over rocks. In it's most basic use as "single ship Leia" I think it's reasonable, but the extreme cases get kind of absurd.
    • Just because it came first, that doesn't mean it was the better-designed card. I think it's the kind of thing which has, as time has passed, revealed that it can lead to some excess in interactions.
  • Next Muse, who is pretty much fine. TIE/fo statline at Init 2 kind prevents her from getting too far out of hand. She's cute, but will never be game-breaking. I mean, even PTrad/PA Muse probably isn't that nutty, since Init 2 TIE/fo. Double-action, white-K-Turn/S-Loop TIE/fo seems almost wholesome, considering it'll probably clock in around 38 points.
  • Last is Proud Tradition. On it's own, it's fine. Focus actions only, there's a built-in method for an opponent to deal with it, most of the time. It then poses a unique drawback that'd be interesting to try to play around. Most First Order ships can kinda do it, but as we've seen from the lower-than-expected performance of Scorch, the drawback does matter. It's actually a really interesting card in that light.

I’m glad we’re still finding stuff to be mad about on the very precipice of being SO VERY MAD.

Brace for outrage in t-minus 3 hours or so.

Resistance would have always been 5A and mediocre hot trash if it wasn’t for exploitable mechanics. :(

Also, congrats on flipping the proud tradition on some trashy tie fighter, it'll cry into it's blue turns I guess.

Trashy TIE Fighters are the target demographic for proud tradition.

PTrad swarms have to be called the Proud Boys right? I'm not the only one thinking this?

You're not the only one thinking this. Everytime someone lands a crit you have to shout the name of a cereal.

Or stupid action economy. Hint to everyone else: Resistance was designed as the faction for us old 1e fogies that actually liked playing the game in the later part of it, and enjoyed coming up with the lists that made the rest of you cry.

Take the Epsilon Squadron Cadet, shoot at a target that already lost its focus, and dare them to take the crit. It'll probably do more damage than the FO did.

Upon losing shove something up your butt for... You know I don't understand why he did that

I hate fascism, but enjoy playing the First Order.

Same team.

Proud tradition is also another way to avoid obstacles. Fly over debris to get out of trouble and take a focus while gaining that extra green dice. Now gas clouds and debris are helpful.

I know that's the meme, but no.
