Even if proud tradition is literally free that's 35 points. πππππ

@pyoinator, per our Messenger conversation. They already broke it. I thought we'd have to wait for OldPara.

But how am I supposed to fly a republic ship without oddball?

Yeah... Optics isn't bad, but Muse can already do Fanatical/Pattern Analyzer (which I think is too pricey). I'm more excited about it because a PTrad Muse is potentially a lot cheaper than the current option.

Optics adds a lot more consistency on 2 dice than just focus. 25% more likely for 2 hits. This is why people take optic zetas. But it'll be on something with great time on target until death with "red" moves not being a bother. This is some Resistance-level efficiency at a good many filler price points.
Also, can eat Holo's stress token and ditch it. Incoming fairship FO to watch for.

TIE/sf vs TIE/fo, though, and Optics TIE/fo haven't been nearly as much of a thing. Muse is going to have great time-on-target as well, but is significantly more likely to want to use her focus token on defense. To be sure Optics is a solid upgrade, but I'm not getting the stapler out yet.

all of us deserve a Trad Muse

So, is Ember just going to make life sad for the Fireball? I thought it had an unforgiving field with Rexler, Thane, Concussion Inky's, etc. Hoping that the Fireball is cheap enough so that you aren't married to the unique droid that undoes all the crit nastiness. Also mildly infuriating how Ember's ability means quite nearly absolutely nothing for force users.
Preferably, keep the fireball like N1 levels of cheap post point change (it's a V19 with a ship ability, and I can't imagine them not reducing Bravos/giving them talents) so you can afford the ability, Ember, Rexler, Thane, Concussion, etc. ruining the day of one of them. (4 + Poe would be interesting). But price the **** out of the no-consequences droid. If you want an I5 ace with adv. SLAM and shoot without crippling yourself, be prepared to break the bank. The droid changes the craft dramatically.

Trad/Optics Muse would still have less time on target and an equivalent price to an RZ2 with Optics.

Yeah, Ember is a nobody, pretty much. Questionably useful, but does nothing vs the best pilots in the game.

Just in time for Muse to go π ?
I've always been an FO player!
(Seriously though, haven't played it much in 2.0 until December and started then. Just so I could say I had started before. It's called a pro gamer move)

I donβt know if the Fireball will ever actually be βhappyβ.

How much down do you need to be good? The RZ2 is 37. So at 2 points for tradition you get that price without much in the way of upside for the FO.
Edit:
I do think FOs will be the best options for tradition, and it would be as nice little upgrade for Muse to be a contributor while still lending their ability out to those in need.

Iβm looking forward to putting QuickDraw, Tavson and Phasma together in a list and seeing whatβs left to build with. Probably not good but... looks fun... for me

You really think 2 pts for PTrad? That downside is REALLY bad and sometimes opposing ships don't roll focuses on defense and could spend the focus to claim "FAKE NEWS!" on your traditions.

Okay, 1 point you're at 36 for a worse version of a "fine" 37 point RZ2 with Optics. I fully appreciate the coolness of an FO slooping around on a dime throwing double modded offense, and I can see it being good filler, but I don't see getting excited over it. Seems fun, though!
4 hours ago, Micanthropyre said:Are you expecting all Force to get nerfed to the point where it isn't competitive anymore?
Definitely not.
I'd love to see a choice-inducing condition placed on regening force, such as fully-executing a blue maneuver.
I think this change to the force mechanic would be insanely good for the game, but I understand it would require re-evaluation of all Force talents, especially those that spend before a maneuver is executed.

...again, I agree wholeheartedly, the point.
The more the designers push the fun like this I'm thinking, the more we'll love the game... maybe to the point trying to come up with the most OP squad will no longer matter???
who am I kidding....

maybe with the gutting of FFGOP fun is all we'll have left?

The OP stuff is really strange to me, they just had a year of dumpster fire, followed by really solid decision making with Worlds and a lot of optimism from the community that FFGOP was improving a lot and learning from their mistakes.
