I guess what I mean is that, while TIE/sf is probably better, the best way to run an Aggressor might be to make it into a sorta into a naked SF. 31 for a Dorsal, 33 for ICT. Take two, keep guns on the target, and bring like Vader and another ace. Is the Aggressor the driving power behind your list? Surely not. Is it decent 31-33 point filler? Maybe.
*edit*
- Sienar Specialist (Ion Cannon Turret) 33
- Sienar Specialist (Ion Cannon Turret) 33
- Darth Vader (Passive Sensors, Afterburners) 76
- Grand Inquisitor (Sense) 57
Maybe???
If you could give them fanatical I might be unironically in, but the 33-34 point range is not friendly to the Empire, so competition is low.
Even going up to the 41 point tier, there are substantially better options (even though they’re trash overall, like passive sensor Tempest Squad Pilots).

Live free, don’t join. I agree.

I went 0-4 my good man. Oh and four.

I’m just gonna ignore steps 1-6 and proceed to step 7: Biggs or die!

I believe that's known as being diagnosed at stage IV
Contra my earlier statements, this seems like meme-worthy trying at casual night:
Darth Vader (67)
Fire-Control System (2)
Afterburners (6)
Ship total: 75 Half Points: 38 Threshold: 3
Tempest Squadron Pilot (38)
Passive Sensors (3)
Ship total: 41 Half Points: 21 Threshold: 3
Tempest Squadron Pilot (38)
Passive Sensors (3)
Ship total: 41 Half Points: 21 Threshold: 3

Total: 198

Oh no it’s definitely beyond that at terminal stage, riding the big moustache into the sunset is always fun.

For Biggs yes, that’s the idea, but it’s what he is protecting that finishes games. (Or dies in a ball of fire).

Norra Wexley (Y-Wing) (41)

I don't know, but related question:
Now that we have the Ghost 2.0 (with the Phantom 2 included), will the Attack Shuttle ever get rereleased?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was released in a dual box alongside Sabine's Tie. And it has folding wings so it can dock on the 2.0 Ghost.

I use it when fielding Howlswarm. When I fly a rebel TIE, it's the Imperial grey one. All the same, from my experience:
Sabine is a good blocker, but outclassed by attack shuttle Sabine.
Ezra is fun with Foresight, Sense, Precog, or Predictive, but just inefficient.
Zeb is meh. Take him for his low cost.
Caption (check the condition card) Rex is still good, but like Midnight, he really doesn't like the outlook of his chassis and his ability in the current meta's general ship count. He can be flexed well, but will be wholly outclassed by a better and more ubiquitous version of his ability (deplete).

Even then... why? You can take a Bandit for less and spend the difference on your real ships.

Because TIE fighter. Didn't say it was a good decision.

Instinctively, I don't think 5X is significantly better than 5 Cartels, except in the hands of the most experienced players.
And if our world champions want to take up 5X if it becomes legal and win worlds with it... I don't think anyone would complain - and I don't think it'd be a landslide.
On paper, they have the TORP slot, ASTRO slot, and free FOILS over the Cartel's MISSILE and 2x MOD+ILLICIT.
If Cartels are supposed to be modded to the gills, but the devs can't drop mod prices without breaking everything else, then their base cost needs to be low.
___
4 T65s with Torps died with the first update, and I was surprised they didn't lower chassis cost equal to Torp tax.
But that's all residual 1.0 balance, so I understand why they didn't do that right away.
___
Just because 4 naked Resistance Bombers wouldn't "break the game", doesn't mean it would be good for the game...
___
In other words, @Tlfj200, I have no idea.
Kihraxzes are good knife fighters (1turn, 2talon), but are lacking both boost and 3hards. So, X-wings are quite faster and have at least one linked action. So imho a tiny tiny bit better.
FFG missed a design opportunity by putting double dots and tripple dots in print on the cards. These should be in the points pdf files, thus could you drop points on a certain ship, but by assigning dots as well restrict unwanted combos like 5 of certain ship (4 dots), or 4+othership (3dots).

I agree - I just suspect they didnt even think of it until designing wave 3 with seps. It's a really cool idea though

There was a thread on these over in the other subforum the other week.
I think they've got potential, but are probably a point or two too high.
I mean, compare Ezra to a generic Inquisitor. He doesn't come out well. Compare Sabine to a Arvel or a Green A-Wing. Compare Zeb to a Tala Z-95. Take 2 points off of any of them, and the Rebel TIEs become interesting alternatives to existing Rebel filler. As is, they just cost too much.
Rex? Who knows. I'm glad 1e Fairship is dead.

I disagree. Sounds fine for a narrative campaign or epic scenario, but I would rather let people have the freedom to choose their own list, especially when it comes to generics in a competitive setting. You want to spam 6 Y? Be my guest.

Actually... the problem may be reversed here... Like, the 200 point scene might be where we don't want to see three VCX 100s, but in an epic game with 500 points or whatever that limitation might make less sense.
