Trying to parse the rules implications. π€
So looks like you can't Afters into R1 to Anakin off the stress.
Or Ketsu someone into R1 to be Teroched.
As per the new paragraph in the ability queue section, referencing Ensnare needing to have a tractor before putting into the ability queue.
Both Anakin and Teroch need to have an enemy in r1 (or bullseye for Anakin) at the start when you "assemble" the ability queue.
Would appreciate people checking the logic of all that. π¬π₯
A long time ago, we had this 1.0 criticism of "complexity creep"

Appreciate the honesty though.

Look man, maybe we need to consider that wedge didn't want it enough.
Anyone have the % of S&V lists that made cut and won their first game in cut?

Draw your own conclusions, im just getting visual inventories of new mechanics.

I plinked a few early points and played very conservatively to the win. It was not the most exciting game (or highest scoring). I believe my opponent ran the clock on himself on that one. I guess it's possible that someone could play quicker to the point where I would feel like I need to buy time at the end?
If you play against a swarm correctly, then it's more than likely going to time. And if you're winning, you want that time to expire. When swarms are in the lead with points, they can "slow play" by taking time to set all their dials. Even at 1 minute per dial, 5 or 6 ships eats up a lot of time. Now, sense can be exploited in dire situations for Ace players. Using Sense to slow the round down is well within the rules now. In the same realm as fortressing all your ships except one. It sucks, but its legal.

really makes you think
Pfft. If a swarm player wants to slow play, crash everything together and next turn dial in moves which bank/turn-bump over all the models.
Also side-bonus: halfway through a game your hamstrings almost certainly will need stretching from all the table-leaning dexterity involved. That's another few minutes right there.
Base size tractored requirements:
Small: 1
Medium: 2

No, 1.0 died because you could do the same thing with a Ghost that then still got to shoot you with full mods.
Four times.

This guy gets it. Iβm glad the Krayt running group keeps me motivated. Gotta keep that core and those hammies in shape for all the swarm play.
Reads RR update thread. Reads Krayts thread.
Ponders revealed manoeuvres....
Nope. F**k it. Imma just carry on letting these things be explained to me when they actually happen.
Incidentally. Ketsu crew just became slightly more useful, no? ...Probably no...

Can't be coordinated before it moves. After it move and get rid of Ion it still can be coordinated (no longer ionized).
Wow, the mythical synchronised double post!
My life is now complete. π
EDIT: Wait, no, just my browser being weird. Sad.

That's a brave Vader.
Unless I'm too tired, it should be that the wider they are the safer vader's 4k becomes. It's the narrower they get where it starts getting risky - thankfully as you can see from the gif, they're about as close as possible where wedge can actually fit a 4k.
It's a bit of a silly exercise, because why would vader opt to have ever been there in the previous turn - but you get the point. Also, I'm willing to bet the talon rolls are significantly safer for vader.

i agree, the gif is not about the board state. its just to demonstrate the mechanic.

What @brunas said, plus you're saying the wedge player preemptively k-turns. I guess what happens if the wedge k-turns, but the vader... doesn't?
