Nothing pleases me more than my immediate, "Heroic..?" response when my non-Resistance opponents whiff.

My favorite 2.0 moments have been when resistance players reroll blanks into more blanks or roll 3 blanks and one focus without a token.

It was a hilarious (ly sad) moment of realization and reflection when I praised the higher variance of 2.0 while also really enjoying the extremely low variance of 5A

Heroics and AdvancedOptics are a glorious pair

Yeah, whiff mitigation its a wonderful drug, it makes it a hard to switch back to other ships.

CLTs need a defensive AO like the force needs balance

Like... the evade action?

Sorta, but instead of being one of the least efficient and highest opportunity cost actions in the game, being good like AO.

We have brilliant evasion, but I'd rather make bad results OK than make OK results good.

which is an interesting sentiment because the vast (vocal) majority dislikes heroic for exactly that reason: because it is just insurance that makes bad results sometimes ok.

I thought one of the critical lessons of 1.0 was that manipulating blank results is *really* dangerous ground to tread.

I am a fan or normalization overall. Even on the flip side, wins due to hot dice are a lot less rewarding and sucks for the opp. I'd love it if the game used a damage chart +1-2 dice for abilities and enough variation to prevent breakpoints cheeses. Resolving dice is the least fun and interesting part of the game, even the time it takes up is a negative.

Inquisitors and Scyks got stealth-added to Hyperspace in today's app update (and Passive Sensors did not)

You may panic in 3...2...1...

Heroic teaches people the difference between 'Blanking out' and 'Rolling eyeballs without enough mods'

But we've gained weird CLT math in its place. CLT Obi-Wan is 51 in the builder and 61 in a printout.

Would you pay 6 points and gain 4 stress tokens for like, half a damage? (assuming you manage to get all of your locks setup and then also none of your SFs get arcdodged or init killed)

Why do people think Hux is good at 6. 6 is Leia. Hux gives you +4 stress and +an action and a half (losing mods on the ship with more dice). Leia gies you -4 stress and +4 actions. All these Hux lists would be comically better with Leia in them- I want to know why people who are normally not dumb are hyping him up.

You would also expect to have at least one of those focus tokens left for defense.

Probably because you’re huxing before the coordinated ships move, they clear the stress, and then take their regular action. So stress isn’t that big of a consequence, your dial can still be open the following turn. Also, the comparison isn’t fair since Leia is only happening every three turns and Hux can happen every turn.

It’s probably has more to do with First Order is more fun to fly, so Hux being reasonably costed is exciting to them. However, until they get another crew carrier I don’t see him being competitive anyways.
