It was mostly counter-complaining (if that's a term), given the TOs/Marshals of major events landed on the side of no mobile fortressing/a single ship moving doesnt count.

I think pretty much all of our locals have "shut it down", either taking a break entirely or just flying a bunch of janky stuff we've never tried before.

Thank you for that... I must have fallen asleep during the OCX livecast because I missed the prepared statement that was provided. I regret missing it, I expect it was highly entertaining - particularly if delivered by @RStan.

The post-recording part of OCX was really good. I wanted to go to bed but they wouldn’t stop being interesting.

Just fly the 7 dice Wulfwarro list with no regrets.

This is the time to do it. I saw a Miranda last week for the first time in second edition, and I’ve been trying to find wingmates this morning for a Bossk build.

Basically, yes.

But since there's no official "off season" for tournament play now, Im not sure a cooldown is a bad thing.

Late May/June is basically a never-ending onslaught of family stuff for me every year.

It's definitely a good thing in our local community.

There's an ebb and a flow between casual play and prepping for competitive events that helps breath life into the community. Without the cooldown, we'd kill off our local scene I think.

I mean, personally, between moving cross country and beautiful weather with mountains to hike…

Weekends are basically designated ‘if it’s not raining, and you are inside, you are doing it wrong’ territory for me this time of year.

Also flying Imperial Jank, All I4 and below lists until the N1 and points changes. Level of seriousness=0. Goal is not to win (though I do try) but rather put some fun stuff on the board and try and pull off ridiculous things. Ailerons away!

Does anyone else feels like a huge portion of the 2.0 Card Pool is still essentially "new and unsolved content" even 9+ months in?
Some of it is waiting for very slight pt adjustment to top tier things to come out of hiding but the vast majority of its probably fine already and just unplayed.

Grand Inquisitor? No. Seventh Sister? Very very yes. She is one of the most underrated ships in the Empire. Put FCS, Hate optional, and run her in any list with 50 points left.

x wing players are notoriously unwilling to experiment. We fly safe lists until someone shows us a new one, then we fly a new safe list.
