If they rotate anything out for the Jumpmaster it'll be either the Scum YT-1300 or the Firespray. The Starviper was just added. Another ship I think may be rotated out is the Fang when the Scyk is added in.

I find this particular swap unlikely... The Fang is one of the few sources of strength within Scum that has multiple good pilots. That said, I'm not offering much for alternatives...

Scum may just end up a pile of extra ships for Hyperspace. I'm not inclined to guess what FFG is going to decide... Might as well light some incense and have a séance.

I also find it unlikley because it is one of the few ships that has been officaily realised in 2.0

Aka, wave 1 ships stay in, everything from wave 3/4 stays in; and wave 5 gets added in, shoving out the stuff that is most similar to it. (Lando's is technically a wave 1 ship but it's also kinda not and in either case I figure it's likely to go.)

This is not what I want, or what I would do if it was up to me, by a longshot- it's what I expect. I would much prefer a more dramatic set of changes, personally.

Ships that rotate out should keep the Generic pilots, to alleviate REEEEEEEEing.

One season with only generics on some ships before they rotate out completely, I like it. Would be an interesting way to balance some additions to HS. Would you rather go for more expensive generic U-wing or cheaper Sheatipede with better ability? Adds to listbuilding choices.

Ironically Asgard is pretty close to where I used to live before I started playing. Haven’t been to BTD yet, mostly been playing at Dragon’s Lair, but it’s about the same drive to BTD (and half the drive to Asgard).

Asgard is great for weekday play, trash for weekend play, but people are working on it. Jesse is good people, BTD is one of the best stores in Houston. I haven't been able to make it for a bit, but he pulls numbers on weekends.

The list just has so much jousting power! We had a mess around game where we just straight jousted, (I played the Ketsu/Teroch/Cobra list) we both felt I rolled better and he still won the joust and the game.

He got knocked out in the first round of cut by 4 phantoms but (according to him) it was a crazy close game

My Bothan spies say hera wedge Norra is a known 4 phantom counter list, but it has less solid matchup against the rest of the fields.

By myself I hope I'll get some experience with it or against it before the incoming Italian sos: after all I played the ghost for 2 years of 1.0, it's quite a shame I didn't test in the new edition yet

It's worth using, but don't be surprised if it feels like a different ship. Without TLT, you'll find you need to actually fly the ship - if that's not how you used it in 1.0. It's fun, and rewarding when you do it right.

I might be oversimplifying but as long as I take 3 solid shots with it I feel like it contributed. More shots than that and I probably lost a closing ship early.

The ghost is the ship it most felt like I had to fly right to win in the whole 1.0 for me.

Obviously I'm referring only to the top tier matchups, against random jank it felt unfair, the first version with kanan, rey and Finn in particular

I want to toss 5 double modded primary dice at ps 5 (on past edition scale) again =(

Seriously, that list matchup against aces was some of the best xwing I've ever had: manouvers mattered way more than dice back then (since you had to expect almost maximized results both on attack and defence when ships managed to get actions)

I haven't touched it yet mostly because I expect to be disappointed since it's a different ship playing in a different game right now

I won't debate how you felt about it in 1.0, my opinion differs strongly.

It is and it isn't different though. It's pretty similar to flying the VCX without TLT in 1.0... It's a different game, so it doesn't feel stupid doing so.

Yeah I expect it is similar to the kanan build I just spoke about, where primary arc mattered quite a lot, but the lack of double mod on expansive ships really dented my enjoyment of them: I want to be reward when I fly well, not having to still rely on lady luck to do something

I had to spend an iden charge on Howlrunner 2nd turn of a game when she took a hit and direct with the same sort of attack.

Yup! I definitely use probability to help me evaluate a game. Determine if my moves were wrong, my list was solid, etc.

So when I have two ships die in two rounds, when each individually had a >95% chance to live, while my opponents Whisper not only lived, but didn’t even have to spend the evade or force token to do so, despite having a >50% chance to die outright? I know that the end result isn’t because my moves and choices were bad, I was just the victim of variance.

Knowing the numbers really helps when evaluating post game. It’s rarely 100% dice, but being able to separate the decision from the outcome is important.

And, yeah, I know the pain of Soontir dying from an unmodified 2 dice attack at range 3 through a rock when I have a focus.

The salt is real.

The dice modifying comments I understand and can at minimum empathize with. Some people want to play a version of the game without dice variance. Thats digestable.
The 1.0 Ghost/Fenn making maneuvers matter more is the bit that I am fully and completely incapable of comprehending.

Last night it was nice to be on the other side of that tale...

Single Scyk fires range 3 at Vader, through a rock... rolls one hit. Player declares this will be where his dice go blank... rolls five perfectly unblemished green sides. Vader suffers a shield damage.
