GOOD NEWS I FOUND ANOTHER STORE THAT HAS IT.

I’m not gonna screw over my FLGS by cancelling my preorder or anything, but I didn’t max out said preorder, so I should be able to get enough from the other store to play tonight while my friends are here ❤️❤️

The U-wing can't take Jan Ors [pilot] in gunner format. True, weapons disabled are needed to recharge, but that's for your turns with R2 and maybe a Plo Bro nearby.

Can we also talk about Jedi Master Sensor Jammer Jerk, aka Luminara? ARCs will love her.

Please don’t, I want to surprise some people with that.

And don’t tell them I think Palp is a good call on one of said arcs.

Honestly, given pricing, I’m leaning towards Plo and Luminara being the top Jedi. The clones seem really strong. Pair either with a pair of Arcs and watch out. And I’m curious if battle meditation can work…

I've already flown 2 ARC + 2 V19 in TTS. "Wolffepack Sinker Crack" is wicked powerful. Palp and Cody seal the deal.

-Edit- To proxy on TTS without the new content, just fly Rebel and spawn the right base sizes. Make use of chat, and remember the small dial differences ;)

And if they're purely random I agree. But given that we got an ordnance carrier and the main ship everyone has been chanting for in Empire, both movie ships, they feel at least somewhat curated. Wave 5 Starviper with foldy wings, making that a modeling based inclusion, would surprise me exactly none. So feels like there's a method to the madness even if it's not purely balance driven or apparent to us. Besides we can look at what they actually did include, do any of the new ships look like an RZ2/Phantom level game changer?

I don't love the timing, the wave 4 stuff should have just waited till wave 4 came out but oh well

Right, and largely I agree - the choices they picked are good, and shouldn't be huge balance problems.

That being said, let's talk July. If nothing else is randomly added to hyperspace, would you rather be the faction with 7 ships/chances to be the next RZA2/Phantom, or 4? Even that's hyperbolic over what I mean - it really is as simple as in such a chaotic system, the more chances you put into the undercosted ship lottery, the better your chance of winning said lottery.

Ok, now that we've all had our complaints in about the new surprise ship additions to Hyperspace, can we talk about something that really matters? Like, how much weight my wallet has lost suddenly? I mean, that much weight loss suggests something serious...

If I pick up a second strife I'll be clear over $200 without touching a Republic ship... I hope I find a combo of droid ships that feels good.

Whoa, wait how?

1x infiltrator $40

2x strife $80

That leaves 4 vultures separate or like two more infiltrators without crossing $200

...HOW MANY VULTURES DID YOU BUY?

Sure, but an undercosted ship in a faction with 4 ships is just as good as one in a faction with 7. Just like past dice rolls don't predict future ones, just because the 3 original factions have had more bites at the apple doesn't mean it's next bite will be a winner or that winner will be significantly better in the larger faction

In the abstract letting one faction have 7 vs 3 chances at the undercosted ship lottery was a bad idea, I totally get the concept you're selling. But this isn't the abstract, we know what the lottery draws were and I'm pretty sure nobody won. They cut the green wire without reading the bomb manual, maybe not the brightest idea but we don't seem to be a fine mist so... yay?

Also points in July which is potentially a total game changer

Haha, for sure - I think the YOLO bomb defuse is a great analogy actually. It was probably a terrible idea, but it appears that it might work.

Being right on accident IS a decent business strategy, after all!

I can't see the picture on this network, but I can see the "monopoly money" text and agree

Just wait till the Hyena's drop. Pure droid fighter/bomber swarm with access to struts and remotes across the board. I can smell the beautiful chaos from here. :)

My hope with these new Hyperspace ships is that they are just pushing the old factions to a 'Hyperspace Complete' state of 7-8 ships. Meaning that next update they rotate things from the Hyperspace environment.

Say they remove the Reaper when they add the Decimator etc, and keep doing that until the new factions get to a similar number of ships. (and hopefully past that too)

two barrage rocket bombers with proton bombs=84 points

I'm in on chaos lists. The less my opponent knows what I'm doing the more time I have to figure out what I'm doing...

...or something like that.

😒 With as small as the connection points would be I see this as a very stupid move if done. I get the "muh lore" aspect of the desire to have them movable, but ****. There is only so much space in these things and making the moving joints too small is just begging for allot of pissed off customers with broken "muh lore" accurate toys.

Fun fact, the Vipers' wings are already able to move. They're molded in pairs (top and bottom) connected by a peg that is on purpose not fully rounded on one side. They're held in place by the glued on cockpit, nothing else. Slightly shaving it to make it round allows the wings to fold without issues.

Basically, except for the fact that people would play with the wings more, it's not a massive mold change and it doesn't weaken the currently existing miniature.

You're missing 4 joints... The mid "wing" ones are also able to change orientation in lore...

Still, any moving parts is better than none.

I don’t know what Canadian taxes look like, but the exchange rate versus USD and CAD means that you could get some small scale arbitrage going on from US products.

I ... may have taken advantage of your weaker currency before.

Lets agree to disagree on that. Moving parts = failure points. The more there are the more likely something is to break.

Depends on in store mark up, where a number of stores inflate well beyond MSRP. The different gaming stores have a wide variation on pricing. That said, our local shop is bang on so I got little to complain about.

I'm still watching that Upsilon on Amazon... it's now cheaper to order and ship from the US than it is to pick up anywhere I know of in Canada. Hard to justify that purchase now though... so many droids will rise up and protest the out of faction purchase. The great droid revolt.

Taking advantage of currency exchanges is great... It's part of why our GenCon run is an annual trek. Sales get a slight... adjustment... in conversion.

i'd love to see some pics or a tutorial on how to do this.

I’m saying if they can add even just a fold-in-half articulation without weakening it too much. I understand it can get too weak at some point.

Somebody had a youtube video on the conversion... I recall watching it. Think it was even linked from the painting sub-forum... It's been a few years though...
