Han's so weird though. Han defends and:

1) Dooku spends a force to specify he wants Han to roll a blank.

2) Han rolls and gets an eyeball.

3) Han uses his ability to Definitely Not A Reroll and gets an evade.

Does Dooku's ability then change the result?

Dooku would have to be used on the Han reroll, not he initial roll most likely. He only effects one roll and if used on the first roll, Han just rerolls it.

Dooku can't be used on a reroll.

Oh sure, but the Imperial loyalists are a brand of their own. They won't be faction swapping like the rest of the scum. Only the correct faction for them.

I may be biased in the opposite way, but imperial fan boys are by far the most numerous and vociferous in my area. I've met rebel and scum fan boys, but they're either quieter or come in smaller numbers.

When I asked if there were really any imperial only fanboys, I learned a harsh lesson.

Space fascists are weird and fascinating.

I'm mostly exaggerating, of course. I actually don't think I know anybody locally that my statement would apply to...

Changing subject, anyone else think ace gameplay (in the arc dodging declination of the term) is death and buried?

Granting half points when the ace is halved was already making it incredibly hard, now that bull like redline and whisper vader are gone and SN is merged, all that's left is initiative kill as the last and superior form of arc dodging

Absolutely not. My triple resistance aces made cut (having lost only to FO aces in Swiss). During Swiss, I beat several three ship lists (including swarm wedge + double lothal) and a couple beefy four ship lists. I lost to rebel swarm in the cut (Pete rose's bbxxs) because I got ouplayed and NOT because of the matchup, which I believe was quite winnable.

Outside of major events, the list has handled Biggs blocks and triple upsilons more than once. Aces with bids are still good, i promise.

Guess how many copies of supernatural were used in Canada?

When explaining the game to a new player the procedure is easier. Move the ship along the template until it sits in the nubs, if it reaches that position you may rotate it and slide.

The **** game should not have nubs. Only thing At@#$k W@#g got right.

Maybe the only thing in gameplay.

The Deep Cuts miniatures line is pretty sweet. The paintjobs on the actual miniatures are trash. But a MSRP $6 unpainted mini is pretty solid fun, if you're just interested in having something which will look decent on a shelf. The models aren't as detailed as X-Wing models, but the what they do have tends to be bold. Deeper grooves for washes, higher ridges for drybrushing.

Unfortunately, the Excelsior class still has the jacked-up oval saucer instead of a round one.

How often were you arc dodging rather than range controlling or initiative killing?

All three were critical. If I'm paying 16 points for a bid and the rest for ships that get to move, then move twice, I'm taking advantage of every opportunity that affords me.

Addendum: afterburners is ultimate range control. Over the two days I spent about 75% of my burners on range control and 20% on arc dodging.

Poe right? Does a little bit of everything.

How many games ended with all ships of one player destroyed?

Having 16 points that your opponent can only take if he tables you really helps mitigating the half point "weakness"

I have probably underestimated afterburners (which is funny considering all my early 2.0 lists had them).

I's interesting that you were basically playing a "200 hundred points poe" there, do you mind sharing more about the matchups? I just played a Poe Ello and Nien list at our national team tournament, despite winning it I might have been a bit burned out by discovering non poe named t70 severly lacking in the arc dodging department, having not just Lulo, but also Tallie instead of them (allowing a beefier Poe too) is an interesting twist I wasn't considering

For what it's worth, almost no tournament games are decided by total annihilation - even with a full 200-0, the game is usually 'decided' much early in the match, and the 200-0 is simply that the game can be completed in time.

That's very true, but I was more interested on how often those 16 points bid mattered for the final score more than for just awarding inititive.

I've found out that my 11 unspent points were often the best thing my **** list had, I'm curious to know if it was the case for someone else

All but [edit]three (but one of those had like a 5 HP lothal rebel left and both my remaining ships right on its tail). My first two games were 200-0 in less than 45 minutes.

Mos def. The bid is a feature with ships like these, and always has been.

They should scale with initiative. I was positively *giddy* when they dropped points, as I was paying for them on everything pre-points change.

Absolutely not 200 point Poe. 200 point poe has torps and a squad leader Blue recruit. No, Talli and L'ulo easily combined for more damage than Poe, for fewer points combined between the two of them. Granted, when Poe died I lost, and when he lived I won, but that was more a result of my opponent's strategy rather that a fundamental tenant of the list. I've won losing Poe more often than I've lost.

Ultimately, my list doesn't want to give you a single point, and it wants to take them all from you. Other T-70s are fundamentally different in that they can't choose to not die. Poe can either be a beastly brawler (LW+focus leaving lock for offense is surprisingly tanky, especially if you're only getting shot once per round) or best arc dodger. Sure, Nien has fancy flying and Ello...is I5? But they can get shot at consistently and so can die. That's fine, especially if you're bringing both for around the price of my Poe + bid. But it's not the list I built, for sure.

You definitely saw me. Much like I saw you. Two people who never played against each other, had no reason to know each other, and therefore likely don’t even remember anything. Rebel sweater, but flying Imperial. 12th in swiss.

If I had a guess, you were fourth?
